Thank you - btw - your direction and pace is excellent and I appreciate that you taught and didn’t waste time - others could learn from you not just in can cuts but how to do a video that’s not 30+ minutes ... thank you for breaking it out! Great!
your video was really interesting and fun to watch, I've always wanted to find a way to design and cut small pieces of metal out of something a little thicker than a regular coking foil sheet. Thank you for sharing this, I might get a Cricut machine because of you. 🙂
I have no idea why I didn't search for this sooner. I have been saving soda cans for awhile waiting for projects to do. This will speed up my time actually creating something with them. Great video.
Nice tutorial and delivery. Thanks! I've had a cnc router for 15 years and have only dreamed about cutting materials this thin and with that kind of fine resolution. Cant wait till my Cricut gets here.
Heads Up... Big Tip! (Sorry if it was already said I haven't found video 1) Arazona Teas come in LARGE cans... they are what I use because that give me a much larger "blank" of material to cut from!!!
I’m so glad you like the design. I made a really cute card from the cut out (and put the airplane inside the card) that I gave to a pilot friend. I created this in Cricut Design space. I don’t remember if it was a Cricut Access image or not, but it is not my design image to share.

great tip about adding custom material. I had no idea this could be done! Thanks so much for sharing this great video
I didn't know this either, thanks

This is fantastic. I was racking my brain how to create an Optimus Prime "metal" stickie for my truck.
Wow, great tutorial! Thanks
Very cool. Good tip about not cutting all the way through.
Great tutorial. Thanks.

Do you think this could be done with a Brother ScanNCut machine?
What blade do you use to cut soda can?

Nice tutorial 👏👏👏
Perfect!!! Cause I don't have a engraving tool
Can you do this with the cricut joy?
I used a 344 setting and it ruined my blade. But I was using an after market blades. Going to try it with a custom setting on a latter date.
can u cut names and make jewelry?
How do you know the right pressure settings to start with when using diff materials
I started with the machine settings in the materials section and kept adjusting until I found the setting that worked.
Is the aluminum can metal thicker then the metal craft sheets that you can buy at hobby lobby
Aluminum can is 37 gauge
Anyone know if the silhouette curio will cut aluminum also?
won't this dull your blade alot?
Not as much as you would think, but I would still use a blade designated specifically for this (don't use with paper, etc.)
Can you put the svg file for this on here please?

Is the fine point blade the one that came with the maker?
Yes, I used the fine point blade that was included. I did mark it specifically for aluminum and bought new blades to use on other (paper) projects.
Has anyone tried tried this with the Silhouette Cameo 4? It seems the pressure settings and such should be similar...
Haven't got mine to do it yet
Is it called Cri-cut or Cric-it ? it sounds like you are saying Cricket
Rsenl1 the pronunciation for the machine is cricket but spell cricut
But which circuit?
What machine did you use?
Design space says maker, but it looks like it may be an Air 2...
It’s a maker
That's definitely a Maker.
