Do NOT lube gears with silicone oil. Oil is too thin and will dry. Use a gear grease, lithium grease or (best) synthetic grease as they will keep your gears greased for a long time and will not dry
Tom depends on the viscosity. I use a really thick and viscose silicon oil and it works fine in my gun
If you do maintenance to your gun often, long term grease is not an issue, the grease will get dirty and full of metal particles and stuff after a while anyway so its better just to open the gear box, clean it and replace the lubricant every few games anyway, it may look unnecessary to some but keeps your gun pristine and you can easily notice stuff like wear and tear before its too late and something breaks.

@@SpeedSim_ probably not. I have a combat machine and I’m pretty sure the arp9 has the same gearbox. It was easy to grind down the three pins. Just use a file or dremel. Watch a yt vid of someone putting a titan into an arp9 that should help.

I can confirm with modding you can get a titan installed in a ICS. Some dremeling is required.

Did just put Titan in a VFC Knight Armament PDW, I needed the sticker with the bigger black mark on. Could be good too know for others! :D Great mosfet GATE! Lite more work then a BTC mosfet but WOW! thats smoth too check if the trigger, slector gear and slector plate is working. :)
This is very helpful! I am doing this for the first time based on this video! It would be nice to know the exact products they use to lube the gears and such.
What an interesting and ingenious design(if I am seeing it correctly), using ir emitter and receivers as the sensors, I like the idea for the gear...Im assuming the micro counts how many teeth have passed so it knows where the gear is to stop motor signal. I like it, although if you use lithium grease on your gears, I could see that being an issue as it could block the ir light in between the teeth possibly. Im in the process of designing my own for a school project(that I will also open source), but I am using hall effect sensors and switches for detecting trigger pull, detecting where the sector gear is and fire selection...
grease your gears, then wipe off the excess, ther should be enough grease left on to reduce the friction.

This fit into my c.s.i. XR5 with no modifications required. If the kit came with a fuse in the harness (even an optional one) it would be even better.

But does it fit in a Krytac Nautilus gearbox? I've read it requires "sanding" but are you sure it would not require severe cutting?
Because where the the bottom side of the Titan goes, there is a huge cable trench/reinforcement on the Krytac gearbox.

The 1st fucking screwhole had no thread so i used the screw to threads its own hole, screw snapped. GREAT start!!
My cheapo drill press just paid for itself! Managed to drill the snapped screw out and then retap it using the 2.5mm screw, hopefully i dont need it later

Abby gun grease is my go to.
So with the basic package there's no way to test your sensors without just winging it...
correct, but you can buy either the programming card or the usb hookup separate. i got the basic and the usb for about 130 shipped.

Hi, is rof setting affecting triger response? For example is the seam trigger response if I set rof on 50% and 100%?
TITAN manual:
"We know how vital the fast trigger response is during combat. This is why we have
developed the Smart Trigger function. It enables you to achieve a faster trigger response.
It works with the ROF Control System. During the first shot, the microprocessor sets the
ROF Control to 100%. After the first shot, it switches to a previously programmed value
(e.g. 50%). As a consequence, the first shot is fired at a full ROF, and subsequent shots at a
reduced ROF. The best results can be achieved by using a battery with a higher than
standard voltage. For example, if you use a 7.4V battery, you can replace it with 11.1V. In
this way, you will achieve a faster trigger response with the same rate of fire as with a
standard battery."
@@GateMovies so rof control efects trigger response. You dont have to copy paste me txt from manual. Just answear correctly.
ROF control does not affect trigger response, even if your ROF is reduced by 50%, first trigger pull will be always fired at 100%.
one type of advice to krytac users who are looking at gears from shs or lonex and want 13:1 ratio gears be prepared as of this day the krytac gearbox is nice how ever the bearing at the bottom part of the gearbox where the spurgear is ,is on purpose a bit higher for no reason. Installing these gears stock is going to break your gun. if you want to install it put in a small device that can rotate quickly while having a second person shaving of a bit of the thick layer of the spurgear.
IF some one works at krytac please take a note and dont tho this next time please!
Good advice! Sector is indeed way to high!
One relatively cheap (free if you have a dremmel) way to do it is:
I put the sector gear on a dremmel (instead of a tool) and then locked the dremmel in place on my workbench. Dremmel on full power (Wear eye protection and gloves, you don't want to be that guy to get a gear in his eyes) Then used a stationary spare cutting disk to carefully sand the gear down. (tiny bit of the shaft itself, and a decent amount of the wider part of the shaft)
I have fucked up one spur gear by trying to sand it down with just a dremmel going around it. Yeah I got the material I needed off but also made the shaft too thin (which will fuck up your bearings and gears. DON'T use the gear when you fuck it up like that)

I’m having problems with either the trigger sensor or selector sensor when I shoot the gun. The safety semi and auto all work properly but the trigger sensors are also working. The temperature of the mosfet is room temperature and the motor is detected because it is shooting. So I am confused as to what is wrong when I get 3 short low frequency beeps from the motor. Please help GATE.

Just curious, why is it specifically stated to not pull the trigger when the gearbox is open? Is it just for risk of the trigger breakings something without the gearbox holding the unit stable?

The cord lengths you provide are so off portion, the negative connector is like 2 inches to long and the positive to short regardless of how you position them, idk what I'm suppose to do
Do you mean motor connectors?
Yes, I had put my titan into my Krytac SPR and regardless of how I position the wires the negative is way longer and disables me from connecting properly.

Hello Gate, I am currently installing my titan and the gearbox won't close, but nothing is in the way. I think it is the sponge on the back of the titan that is preventing it. Help would be appreciated. (Krytac Trident Nautilus Gearbox) And yes I already did the correct dremeling for everything else.
Hi Gate, I say I'm very impressed with your products and I only heard good things about them. I have a G&G FN FNC which has 4 fire modes or at the the file selector moves to 4 different positions. The burst mode doesn't work and it's just for show so instead it shoots full auto. If you switch to Full Auto it will shoot in full auto. I want to know if I TITAN will give all 4 fire modes, SAFE/SEMI/BURST/AUTO.
Hi, TITAN won't use all 4 positions. It is made for 3-position selector. But you can have 4 fire modes using 3-position selector:
SAFE-SEMI-BURST/AUTO (short press - BURST, long press - AUTO) or SEMI-BURST-AUTO (SAFE mode via the fast switch SAFE-SEMI-SAFE)
does not work with arp9 because de red wire is orgineel on the trigger side and the titan is on the back site and you dont have alot of space to do it the right way

Hello, the app works only with Windows and MAC. In the field we suggest to use Tactical Programming Card or laptop / tablet with Windows or OS X.

It’s easier to do on the split gearbox

-Shave down those pins
-Remove cut off lever and shave down that shoulder that houses it flush with the gearbox
-if the lower shell comes stock with the Ics E trigger you have to order a new shell due to the gape in the right side of the shell

Remember, even with the aster the same rules apply. And make sure the optical sensor for the sector gear is properly set. Very important

Edit: Just ordered one (I overpaid a bit since my usual part site ran out of stock while I was sitting on it ), I'll update this to let people know how well it fits into a gen3 Retro Arms split gearbox with a retro arms selector plate when it arrives.
Edit 2: The TITAN fits perfectly into a gen3 Retro Arms split gearbox. No modifications needed.
Trigger shouldn't be pulled if gearbox is open beacause you can damage trigger sensors.

How do I get the sensor to not read a trigger when I’m not pressing trigger also my field card says I pull the trigger half way and the bottom field of lights turns on and I’m not even compressing the trigger all the way

Do you need the programming card or USB PC link to program or need it for the install?
You can install TITAN V2 without a programming Card, USB-Link, or Blu-Link. However, to use full advantage of your Electronic Trigger Unit, it will be good to connect it to GCS App at some point.
What if my sensor doesn't recognize the "Tooth - Break". I run an SHS Double Sector Gear, but it seems it doesn't get recognized when it's "Tooth" and when there's the "Break". Help pls!
Latest free GBU update will fix your DSG issues.
Installed today, however I noticed that the selector which receiver on will not read "safe" but will read safe during the test outside on the receiver. What could be the cause? selector plate had the copper on it.

Soon will be released the update which will allow you to make selector calibration using GATE Control Station. It should solve your problem without any mechanical modifictions.
Alright so i got the Titan in my gun and have put some rounds through it. I have found that with a 7.4v lipo the gun completes a full cycle and stops perfectly every time. (Air nozzle all the way forward and piston all the way forward) However when I switch to an 11.1v lipo the gun still cycles but the air nozzle is partially pulled back at the end of every shot after the trigger is pulled. Its kinda like precocking but just for the air nozzle. (air nozzles rest position is partially pulled back) this only happens with the 11.1 and not the 7.4. Any way to fix this or possible solution or reason as to why its doing this?

Air nozzle is pulled back because sector gear performs longer rotation on 11.1v battery, if piston stays in forward position there is nothing to worry about.

Yes, TITAN is not compatible with marui NEXT GEN gearbox. This gearbox is totally different construction than standard V2. You need to sell it or return.

what is the piece @ 11:35? I don't recall it being on some v2 gearboxes. is it for the "bolt release"? or is it part of the titan system?
No, it is part of VFC HK416 bolt catch system.

in my case, the first trigger sensor is covered even when the trigger is not being pulled. so the lowest setting I can have is 2. is it the same sensitivity as if I didn't have the problem and had the trigger sensitivity on 1
When trigger covers first sensor, TITAN automatically sets highest sensitivity to the next available sensor. In your case second sensor will work as the first one and you still can achieve hair trigger.

Speed triggers how would I configure them to have a shorter pull in this mosfet? There are speed triggers with holes for configuration, would it work the same way if I installed one of them in the Titan?

Yes, TITAN works with speed triggers including all the retro arms speed triggers. In case of speed triggers with holes you need to make firmware update to version 1.8.

You are right, Titan is equipped with 5 optical sensors to avoid any contact with trigger. Unfortunately we have not tested Titan with Polarstar triggers so we cannot guaranty full compatibility.

I got a stock Umarex / VFC H&K 416 CQB stock from 2012 laying around, which other upgrades should i add if i were to buy this mosfet and would want more or less the same fps?
mosfet will not change fps. it can change the rate of fire and allow you to use higher voltage batteries. makes your piston fall to home every time instead of being half cocked after a shot, adds batter protection and a few other minor cool functions.
the smoothness of the trigger is such a HUGE improvement, but there is no "feel" to it.
The connections are wrong the red wire needs to be in the right hole and due to this error my motor ate the wire.

1 - about how much more battery does the titan use as opposed to not having it in,
2- If I have the trigger sensitivity on 5 will it fire when the trigger touches the backboard
1. TITAN has very low power consumption:
Running - 24mA
Idle_Sleep - 0.66mA (SEMI/AUTO mode, after 1 hour without any shoot)
Safe_Sleep - 0.28mA (SAFE mode or battery voltage under 3V/cell)

i have question. How powerful upgrade can i use with Titan? I have DMR gun with strong upgrade (M170) with muzzle velocity about 690 FPS (210 m/s) with 3S lipol battery. I want better trigger sensitivity and Titan looks very good for that. But im afraid of damage by high electricity. How many Amps is maximum for Titan? I cant find this information anywhere.
It can handle up to 17 volts. As far as amp rating it concerned, Shame they don't mention it.
But I don't think it should be too much of a problem as long as your motor is up to the task.
(A good strong motor does not take as many amps as a under powered one trying to compress that spring)
I've seen Titan's in DSG setups. Those fuckers use heavy as hell springs too, and at a high speed too.
So yeah you should be fine.
Be careful with the pre-cock feature tho. Pre-cocking could destroy your anti-reversal latch (or gears) with such a strong spring because of the intense force applied to it for a extended amount of time.
