Bless you Jac Schaeffer! Also, not only is the credits song perfect for both subject matter and emotional tone, but I suspect the fact it was used in Xmen: Days of Future Past for a scene involving TWO "Maximoff's" was NOT A COINCIDENCE!
YES! This and the last have really kicked the show along amazingly. And I don’t think that’s too hyperbolic (probably). This has passed the last one to be my fave.
This is one of the greatest episodes/moments of the MCU. Everything about it from the writing to the acting to the cinematography. Freaking chefs kiss 👏🏽👏🏽
This felt like a Christopher Nolan movie! All these seemingly random events throughout the show that we knew were gonna pay off somehow, but paid off in an even bigger, more emotionally powerful way. I knew all of the odd things that Lilia said and did this season weren’t random. Especially name dropping all the tarot cards during important moments of the show. But I didn’t expect it to be done so beautifully. And my heart broke when she sacrificed herself to save her coven, Agatha better find a way to bring them back at the end of the road.
A week after Evan Peters shows up, they use Time in a Bottle at the end that was also used in one of the best comic book movie scenes ever in Days of Future Past

The fact you all know her as Elphaba rather than the Wicked Witch of the West is tragic. Even _more_ tragic is that none of you know how Elphaba is like as a character from the books. Just the terrible high-school drama musical, which was awful.
@@arc7375 I never saw any of the broadway musicals or read the book(s?). I have seen the wizard of oz, the wiz, and oz the great and powerful. Definitely know her as the wicked witch of the west. Maybe the best ~30 minutes of marvel content ever. Absolutely incredible television. No surprises, I knew who Rio was since ep 1 (that dagger is just too iconic) but the execution here was simply unmatched. How layered and detailed it was all woven into the story from the very beginning of the show with all Lilia’s outbursts and everything…and Patti Lupone’s performance. My god.

One of the best MCU tv episodes ever. Genius nonlinear writing that would make Christopher Nolan burst with pride, and a truly S tier performance by Patti LuPone!
this was definitely the best episode in the show. honestly it’s one of if not the best written piece of media for any marvel project if im being honest. it handling the fear of death and time and the acceptance of that at the end while having all the pieces connecting was soooooo good. lived this episode so much and im going to miss lilia sm
This episode really did a nice job waving Lilia’s life through multiple times together and how wild it is to live it but also dealing with people that just think you’re “crazy”. Patti did a great job as Lilia and had a touching end. Aubrey cast as Death is Amazing and S tier casting alongside RDJ as Tony Stark and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. 👏👏
Scarlet Witch, Blade, Ghost Rider, Dr Strange, Moon Knight, Werewolf by night, Man Thing...hell everything that has to do with supernatural stuff Disney/Marvel should give the(Agatha All Along) team create control. We could have an amazing supernatural MCU side if all of it was under their control, the Agatha show is proof of that.(Also let the supernatural side be fully rated-R all of it)
This episode had strong finale energy with the way it wrapped things up so satisfyingly. I loved how Lilia was able to heal her core wound before she died. She never got over her inability to save her coven, but now she saved her coven 🥲 I'm interested to see what happens with Agatha in the finale, as she's been acting less like a witch and more like an energy vampire. I get it that she's not a specialist in various areas of the craft, but she also seems to know nothing about things like potions or Tarot, and doesn't want to learn. That's strange for a woman addicted to the acquisition of power, as we all know that knowlede is power. At any rate, I feel like that's her specialty - power theft. And that's why witches hate her. Agatha didn't take time to learn the craft - like her mother said, she quickly reached for magicks above her station, advancing fast and dangerously, at the cost of those around her.
One of the greatest screen deaths ever - Patti knocked it out of the park This is by far the best episode and a great moment in Television So so so good

Oh this one is up there in my list of MCU best moments. Jac Schaeffer needs to be in everything magical side of MCU. She can take her time with everything I trust her 😭
She must take over the supernatural side of the MCU in it's entirety, starting with the Scarlet Witch movie, Midnight Sons, Blade, Ghost Rider,Moon knight, Werewolf by night, Man Thing... everything that is supernatural from marvel must be given to her and her team. Give her all the time she wants to make it great.
@44:13 - Yes, those are all classic tarot drawings, but slightly altered to resemble the cast. Look closely at each and you can see their faces and Billy's blue crown. This episode was a MASTER CLASS of just everything!! Loved it so much! *chef's kiss*

And thank you Coy for being vulnerable and sharing with us, why this meant so much to you. This was touching, just like the way Lilia came full circle this episode.
glad to hear Cory is finally onboard! also loved this episode, it's great to see how they was able to, in a single episode, made Lilia the most likable character in this show so far... now I am super sad that she's gone... although, I guess she's not really gone, she's gone back to her beginnings and is reliving her life again with renewed purpose hopefully :D
Not even joking, Eric Voss pregamed this episode by comparing Lilia to Desmond from Lost and a spacific episode where he is unstuck from time. Then he said something about age groups, Lost is his age group (my age), and younger ages will probably turn to Rose from Haunting of Hill House.
The Constant, probably one of the best Lost episodes. I can totally see it. As well as Greg's reference about Lilia being like Amy Adam's in the Arrival, time is linear kind of sense. Both comparisons work perfectly. Great great episode.
it’s funny because i was just waiting for rio to be revealed as death because i as well as many other fans had the death and wiccan reveal spoiled. Funko pop had released an agatha funko pop but on the back, there was a wiccan and death funko in that set/series. the wiccan reveal was obvious like i think we all knew when joe locke was casted but majority of us did not see death being involved so that was spoiled. however, the way the reveal was handled still made it soooo satisfying
Yeah, even though both reveals were spoilt, I must give them their flowers that they managed to do both in a way that I was expecting which genuinely made me feel like I was on the edge on my seat for such satisfying reveals
My grandmother passed away from dementia some years back, and Lelias experience this episode reminded me of her final days. Her mind would go back and forth from when she was a little girl, then back to her 90s, it was difficult to witness that😢
This episode alone has to be one of my FAVORITE episode of the show! Seeing everyone as Disney characters especially Maleficent Billy was the highlight of the season. I'm really glad Lilia & Jennifer returned. It hurt me to see Lilia sacrificing herself to save the other's even though we just got her back, the scene alone was very emotional & devastating to watch 😢
I relate so much to Coy's fear my greatest fear is that I will change who I am my views my rational my personality emotions without me being in control without me understanding the change to lose who I am the way I think and feel as I grow older this is why I've picked up journaling and writing down things to remember and flesh out.
I love the concept time is an illusion from the episode. Lilia’s experiencing anything in any where at any time in her life. Like before she end up die, her mind can travel back to the beginning and then some where else she wants. She’s immortal in her life time
What an incredible episode! This is the kind of TV that helps build a legacy that will last for a long time. Phenomenal work all-around for this episode and this for sure takes my top spot for the season so far. 10/10! I can't wait for the double-feature finale next week!
Love that they end this episode with the same song that plays during Quick Silvers slowed down action scene from Days of Future Past. Billy is looking for his brother. The road ends with him. And the song fits so well with Lilia’s arc/life. And that movie was all about sending Logan’s conscience through time just like Lilia was experiencing.
I think Tommy’s name is going to be quicksilver in the mcu instead of speed because he’s actually never been called that onscreen in the mcu or in the fox universe I think and it would pay homage to both versions of the character.
The part where they said and who is with us here tonight? This mean Rio was never supposed to be in the road and the spirit of death was accompanying them.

I just finished watching the episode, it’s been a long time (besides Loki) since I watched a marvel project where I loved absolutely every second. Lilia is my favourite character of the show, Patti’s acting is top tier. The directing and editing of the episode also so good!
This episode was just a masterpiece. One of my favorites out of any Marvel Studios show.
If Eternals was a show, they would have enough time to explore the characters and lore.
@@yo-kaimaster2826 Executed right, that could’ve been amazing.
Easily top 3
This is my favorite out of ALL disney plus shows. Lol
@@yo-kaimaster2826 The CGI budget would've killed it, remember Secret Invasion? The Eternals have powers that would require a big budget for a tv show.
I'm not sure if I cried because I was sad for the death of Lilia, the perfection of the writing, the triumph Lilia had over her fear, the peace she found at the end, or the exquisite beauty of the tapestry the plot reveals itself to be. Bless you Jac Schaeffer!
Also, not only is the credits song perfect for both subject matter and emotional tone, but I suspect the fact it was used in Xmen: Days of Future Past for a scene involving TWO "Maximoff's" was NOT A COINCIDENCE!
Not to mention the music itself!
Not to mention taking out the Salem Seven 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Is This ALSO Your Favorite One Thus Far?!
This episode was fire this show is a masterpiece
Yesss!!!!
The best episode so far!!!!
R. I. P. Lilia
Episode 6 and 7 are my favourites I can't wait for 8 and 9 because the episodes are getting so much better
YES! This and the last have really kicked the show along amazingly. And I don’t think that’s too hyperbolic (probably). This has passed the last one to be my fave.
John or Greg, you know how many bots I have to get rid of on your comments 😂 I appreciate you guys and this is my mission. 💪
I cried a lot. I'm sensitive. Was waiting for the reaction! I loved this ep!
This is one of the greatest episodes/moments of the MCU. Everything about it from the writing to the acting to the cinematography. Freaking chefs kiss 👏🏽👏🏽
This was one of the BEST episodes to come out of Marvel TV EVER!!! Whoever wrote this show, MARVEL PLEASE KEEP THEM AROUND!!!!
I still crying for lillia's death. Trully loved this episode, one of the best Marvel episodes so far.
The ending has wizard of oz reference, Lilia gives Agatha instructions to be back home , Billy the spell book ( the brain) ,Jen a heart .
Kale, the only Jen is She-Hulk
When they first announced this show, I saw a plethora of "nobody asked for this" comments. Who cares if anybody asked for it--it's fantastic!
All those comments turned into praises now 😅
A week after Evan Peters shows up, they use Time in a Bottle at the end that was also used in one of the best comic book movie scenes ever in Days of Future Past
Agatha being the wicked witch is fitting considering the reference to wizard of oz in wandavision
Specifically isn’t she supposed to be Elphaba? Wasn’t she misunderstood or something in the broadway story?
@@Justitia_Nomen I'm not actually too sure, but reference anyways 🤷♂, also rip lilia calderu
@@Justitia_Nomen yes that she was made to be the evil witch, people put her into that role because she was too different and after trying so hard to fight against those lies and fighting for the good in herself she just ended up conceding and becoming the wicked witch they wanted her too be. It became much easier for everyone to know her as an evil witch than the person she truly was... this meaning Elphaba kkkk sorry for the spoiler for Wicked😅
I only mentioned elphaba because I thought she wasn’t as evil as she was being presented. Thought hey, Agatha might surprise us? This might be something related to her character as well? Which I kinda think based on snips from trailers. Agatha says to teen the truth was much worse, referring to him asking why she let people think that about her. *shrugs*
THIS is why you cast Patti LuPone! She better get a freaking Emmy nomination for this. She was already a legend, but I’m so happy that far more people will want to look up Patti’s work after this show.
I love Mike Flanagan’s work so watching this episode was just so amazing to see them fit all these pieces together so beautifully it is absolutely incredible!!
This episode is so great and my favorite episode of the show so far! 👍
I can't explain how much I love this episode.
so many shows dropping absolutely killer episodes recently! loving this TV renaissance
My god.
i feel like other than death and time concepts, I think they also used this as a metaphor for dementia I believe...
Same thoughts!!
You were one of the few reactors to actually catch on to what the writer was doing as the episode progressed. It was extremely satisfying to watch your reaction after seeing so many others just not quite “get it” because it went way over their heads
got literal goosebumps when Lilia keeps on travelling through time. she's my favorite witch right from the start
I ended up getting very emotional this episode wasn’t expecting it at all.
Omg I know right! ❤😢
Absolutely blown away. Wasn’t aware that Disney was capable of a quality tv episode like that. More of this Disney
… andor exists
@@ThomasMees haven’t seen it. Won’t watch it. They blew it on the Star Wars content for me. Every single one has been a miss. And yes, rogue one is bad.
@@procrastinator547 stupid ass reply you don’t know what you’re talking about and can’t complain abt quality tv then purposely choose not to watch quality tv, and no rogue one isn’t bad
@procrastinator547 Let's not pretend that Star Wars pre-Disney was back to back masterpieces. It's been an IP churning out mid content for decades, with the occasional diamond in the rough mixed in there. Andor is the most prominent diamond in the last few years. You are doing yourself a disservice by not watching it.
You tell 'em, @@TBelen91.
Joe Locke's (Billy) favorite episode. 💛
Ladies and Gentlemen, PATTI LUPONE.
Omg I saw that interview, he was definitely correct🙏🏼
The best episode I’ve ever watched from Marvel
nice vid yall :) this ep just soldified for me that if wanda got her own movie, i’d want Jac Schaeffer to direct
The whole season I was wondering why they cast Patti LuPone. It kind of seemed like a waste of talent. But this episode brought me to tears. She was incredible.
this was by far the best episode i liked all the tarot stuff it actually made me forget that its a marvel show and i hope idk why with lilia’s warning to agatha she becomes the comic version who helps people control their powers
She did help Wanda with the runes and navigating her grief and trauma. She's lowkey trying to help Billy too
@@heyitsmira17she only helped wanda to get what she wants its probably the same thing with billy
It's so cool how every ep title is the ballad lyrics
Aubrey Plaza looks amazing as Mistress Death
Yes, she does ❤
They all look amazing
I can't decide if I'm scared of her or want to ask for her phone number
Exactly
She really does!!
Aubrey plaza has had a hold on me since legion, her playing lady death is up her alley
Legion is my absolute favorite marvel piece. Hands down.❤❤❤❤ I'M SO EXCITED SHE'S BACK😂😂😂
This episode really did a nice job waving Lilia’s life through multiple times together and how wild it is to live it but also dealing with people that just think you’re “crazy”. Patti did a great job as Lilia and had a touching end.
Aubrey cast as Death is Amazing and S tier casting alongside RDJ as Tony Stark and Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. 👏👏
I think this episode also makes the rewatchability that much better. I can’t Wait to rewatch this show and seeing all the things i missed.
Whoever the creative team behind the show is. They need to do more marvel stuff. This show gets better with each episode
One of the greatest screen deaths ever - Patti knocked it out of the park
This is by far the best episode and a great moment in Television
So so so good
Very fitting end credits song. Especially with Tommy
This is one of the best episodes to ever come out of Disney plus shows. The gays and girls kow what a legend patti lupone is, now the entire world knows. No doubt, give Jac the scarlet witch movie.
Perfect timing. Got the notification right as the credits hit on my first watch.
“You couldn't live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me"
NO WONDER Joe said this episode is his BEST EPISODE.
The way Jen screams No to Lilia just pierced my Heart knowing what was about to probably happen 😢
This episode broke me… I was sobbing by the end… still not sure why/how but totally got me!
"like a mid season of a Mike Flanagan show" 😭😭 exactly my thought, I love these kind of episodes ngl
This Episode felt like a Beautiful love letter, definitely my new favorite episode .. Patti Lupone WENT OUT LIKE A G & KILLED IT. 🔥✨📺
I just finished watching it, I'm literally sobbing while typing this 😭
@44:13 - Yes, those are all classic tarot drawings, but slightly altered to resemble the cast. Look closely at each and you can see their faces and Billy's blue crown.
This episode was a MASTER CLASS of just everything!! Loved it so much!
*chef's kiss*
This episode was a spectacle, a true CINEMA, RIP LILIA 🖤
I really liked the way you articulated your thoughts and the points you brought up. I'm always impressed by how detailed and nuanced your reviews are.
THIS EPISODE MAKES ALL THE OTHER EPISODES EVEN BETTER NOW. LOL
That is one amazing Nnemonic episode, ridiculously well written, Oscar worthy acting, stupidly hypnotizing!
My grandmother passed away from dementia some years back, and Lelias experience this episode reminded me of her final days. Her mind would go back and forth from when she was a little girl, then back to her 90s, it was difficult to witness that😢
Christophe Beck’s musical signature is a powerful and recognisable as ever. Brings back a lot of Buffy memories.
I was waiting for this to come out just after I finished watching the episode ^^
I relate so much to Coy's fear my greatest fear is that I will change who I am my views my rational my personality emotions without me being in control without me understanding the change to lose who I am the way I think and feel as I grow older this is why I've picked up journaling and writing down things to remember and flesh out.
the song at the end, 100% easter egg for Tommy and quicksliver. No chance that was just a nice touch for us fans... so excited for the next episode :)
I think this is my favorite episode so far, it told lilia back story so well
I love the concept time is an illusion from the episode.
Thanos: Why don't you care for me?
Death: I like Peter Quill more, the guy that punched you
The part where they said and who is with us here tonight? This mean Rio was never supposed to be in the road and the spirit of death was accompanying them.
This show just keeps getting better every episode ... amazing
the music in this episode is insane and man R.I.P. Lilia this death actually got me to cry a bit same level with Aunt May and Lyla
