15:59 - it’s the most inexpensive show for one main reason. Around 90 percent of the effects were practical. They actually built the witches road in a 300 yard by 300 yard warehouse. Each tree was designed by a different artist, the inner trial sets were done in a Disney studio and the putter sets were actually there as well (as miniatures). Practical is cheaper. Every time.
Omg I just realized, when Lilia flips the Tower card to make it upright, at first I thought there was a magical light coming from the table when the card touched it. But now rewatching it with you guys, I realized that the power came from Lilia's hand ♡ her yellow. Such a queen. Patti was perfect for this role, what a legend.
"You want straight answers? Ask a Straight lady" Oooo go off ya dual meaning queen!!! and not to be left out "I AM the Queer-ent " Ohh Joe Locke you adorable so and so!

An absolutely magnificent episode from start to finish. Patti LuPone ate it up. I teared up several times watching this installment. Billy renouncing Wanda as his mother was not on my bingo card.
I love how Billy was all "I HAVE a mother" as if Wanda didn't scour the multiverse to steal him from HERSELF. He thinks she'd let someone completely different have him??
I don’t think he could possibly have any concept or knowledge of that event, this is the Billy from the westview anomaly, not the one she found in an alternate universe
@@jaysax7381 yes, I know that, I was just commenting on the desperate measures Wanda will take when it involves her children. It was just a rhetorical question, I know he's not aware.
This episode alone has to be one of my FAVORITE episode of the show! Seeing everyone as Disney characters especially Maleficent Billy was the highlight of the season. I'm really glad Lilia & Jennifer returned. It hurt me to see Lilia sacrificing herself to save the other's even though we just got her back, the scene alone was very emotional & devastating to watch 😢
If you also noticed Lilia said something about Jen she could be unwilling to use her power. She was never bound but traumatized into her own mind never wanting to use it really. She is holding herself back
I was fully convinced we would get a "down the witches road" (yellow brick road version) song in this episode lol. This episode was SO GOOD. And since Lilia experiences time out of order, her last moment was when she younger and starting learning divination. Give miss Patti all of the Emmys!!
After i watched this episode i broke out my old Tarot deck and gave myself a reading in honor of Lillia. Lets just say it's what i needed to hear form someone.
I’ve seen this episode twice now, & it’s made me cry both times. The way they had Rio symbolize what people think death is, while also showing Lilia’s life was what it actually represents - only being halfway through a cycle that can continue many cycles & end anywhere. Death is both an end & beginning.
I think Rio might’ve been allied with the Salem 7 ALL ALONG and she’ll bring them back to life in the finale. That’s when The Scarlet Witch joins Billy and Agathan. Might even bring Alice and Lila back for some help.
I feel like the end scene of seeing Lilia as a child makes me think that maybe she lives her life on a loop. Like in the moment of falling, she has another gap where she gets to he a kid again.
Now is the start of her loop. I think all divination witch like her elder in the ep, gone through what she had gone through and is rewinding almost everytime. Basically divination witches know what the future is because they have the foresight of reliving every single possibilities
It's so sad that she knows how her life is going to end. So she's so at peace and she's just gonna go through her life over and over again....in a sense its like she immortal
This episode is definitely the best one!!! Pattie LuPone DESERVES the Emmy!!! Her performance was divine, and I loved every minute of it!!! I really loved how Lilia’s arc had come full circle from revisiting her past, to taking control of her present, to finally confronting her fearful bittersweet future. Totally late with this comment, but there’s two things that I’ve noticed after re-watching the series a few times. First, you can see 10/ Billy’s confidence and just the way he carries himself improve as the series goes on. In this episode specifically just the way he speaks to and interacts with Agatha and the way he carries himself is so much more confident than he was in the beginning. Second, his hoodie changes from being blue to red over the course of walking the road. I didn’t notice that the first time but that’s a nice little detail to show that he’s transitioning into Wiccan.
Patti better be nominated for something....this damn show better be nominated for something cause I know these award shows don't like to give supernatural shows anything
They took Sharon and Alice from me and now Lilia 😭😭😭😭. This episode gave very much Bent Neck Lady and The Altar of the Dead all in one🥲🥲💔. Found the math comment hilarious cuz so many women were accused of being witches cuz they were good at math 😂
Lilia is the personification of Alzheimer’s and Dementia, and the length someone will go to try to remember. Everyone dressed up as a famous witch ties back to Lilia saying how she hates how the media protrayed witches (Wizard of Oz, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty). Joe ATE in the Maleficent drag. Also, WHY IS IT ALWAYS BILLY STARTING THE TRIALS?! And fun fact: Jac Schaffer confirmed that they used real swords. They were all hun on piano wire, and had to have a sequence to release them. The editing of this episode deserves an Emmy for how they connected Lilia’s visions and the tarot card sequence. That was BRILLIANT. 👏🏻👏🏻 Lilia seeing her coven wiped out by Spanish Flu is so sad!!!! I was so gagged by this episode and the attention to detail to all the flashes she had the entire season all being pieces to a puzzle we saw as a whole. This was an amazing episode and I cannot picture living and perceiving time in a nonlinear way so often 😅 I would be cocky too. I got this better then razz from she ra and Sybil the divination professor of Harry Potter. All three were amazing but the pov in this one was a flex of my brain in a good way so artistic , scary and then beautiful.❤
Will we see anything more of the Salem Seven? I mean on the one hand if we don't that will be a little anti-climactic, but on the other hand if we do then it'll mean Lilia's sacrifice meaningless even though she did so with peace of mind and no regrets.

I mean I know we want one for Agatha as well and the other witches but.....maybe we'll have a bit of time to fit in a little more backstory? And are we going to see Nicholas scratch? Or are we going to get another series focusing on him and the Salem Seven?
A really nice detail is Agatha losing it with all the cards she put down actually saved Lilia as she was sitting in a spot where there was no sword thanks to Agatha
Agatha getting into her Idina Menzel😍 moment is everything, and why whyyyyyy Lillia had to die🥺 can't take any more deaths, they need to bring them together. They are a dynamic team and everything together.
First Sharon, Then Alice.. Now Lilia… so many of our divas DOWN it reminds me when i was rooting for the ashes, wendy and julie and olivia in the final destination franchise just for them to die in the end.
Im hoping that since covens share burdens and bounties (or whatever), Agatha survives the road, & with some ounce of goodness, revives the coven (even Sharon)
8:37 Ok, just clarifying something I'm not even sure I should be clarifying (I'm Australian but I'm not indigenous, I'm a descendant of a mix of settlers, refugees and convicts) - a walkabout is a rite of passage for Indigenous/Aboriginal/First Nation people, specifically for young boys into manhood. I don't know what the word was specifically for the Indigenous people (there were at least 250 languages spoken in Australia before the settlers arrive and now there are less than half of those still spoken and the majority of those 123 are endangered), but at some point the expression became 'walkabout'. What it is is that basically you spend 6 months in the outback by yourself, you accept no help from others, you offer no help to others, your survival is dependent on how well you listened to your elders. So I'm not entirely sure whether or not it's any more appropriate here anymore than I'm sure if it's appropriate when it was used in Pitch Perfect 2, that episode of 'Lost' or the time when it's used mockingly to say that someone is "wandering aimlessly" or to describe "unexplained absences", but as I said I'm also not sure whether or not I have any right to question it's appropriateness since it's not a reflection of my culture (I live on Aboriginal land but that doesn't give me the right to act like their history is my history - does that make sense).
