    Peugeot Partner Tepee Outdoor (very long name) is the people carrier (Tepee) variant of the French delivery van (Partner), with off-road styling (Outdoor). This test example is powered by a 100-hp 1.6 HDi motor, and I have no idea, how it makes economic sense for PSA to have an identical Citroen Berlingo on offer.

    Well, my Partner 1,9 D (2000) has 930k km on the clock and still is running strong. I've had it since 2005 and for the time have done regular servicing, some suspension jobs, but that's been driven on less than ideal roads. The XUD9 unit on my car has had only a gasket change and has been a rock solid engine. When I hit 1 million km on the clock, I'll buy me a new model, that's hopefully as reliable and long lived as mine. . :)

    Hello!...I own the 2015 1.6 Hdi 90 HP version which is quite similar but the headlights....although we had only driven it for 32K kms. We are having lots of fun with it....we had used it to haul furniture when moving from one house to a new one, had traveled from the Gulf of México to the Pacific 1,200 kms non-stop with no problem, or from the US border to Central México (another 1,300 kms no-stop) very comfortable. We are a family of five and we are very pleased with this French car. We had used it and abused it, hauling our weekend luggage, two-twelve thousand BTU mini-splits and the five of us...during the week is the bus car that my wife drives and in the weekends is the car where the family travels, we have done lots of short trips around the area. So far, we like it over all the American giant vehicles that consumes a lot of fuel and over the expensive japanese options....and not of them are as flexible as this is....

      Wow! I didn't realise Peugeot was available in Mexico. I looked at the webpage, and you have full range. BTW, someone did a bad job on the collage with 208, 301, 308, because 301 looks like a weird hatchback in it ;) You even have RCZ, which is no longer available in Europe.

    Excellent review Marek. Good drone & other camerawork. I have a 2013 model of this vehicle, very satisfied with it. Watched your review to see if there is much change since (answer: not much). If you buy this kind of vehicle, your friends will always ask you to move furniture - which means endless free beer! Thanks for reminder about the rear 12V - I will use it for the portable cooler this summer! Also good suggestions of the VW Caddy and Dacia Docker as alternate makes.

    Test-Drive it with people/cargo... I drove a Ford Tourneo Connect (long wheelbase) all across Germany and Austria last summer with my in-laws and an aunt and uncle. It was quite comfortable for 6 adults and their things (though we did pack light). I was also surprised by how well the car drove on the autobahn, it comfortably cruised at 140-150 km/h and pushing it to 180 km/h was no problem. We averaged 7.1/100km, which is great for such a car on a lot of autobahn stretches. It had a 1.6l turbo-diesel with a manual transmission. I had 2 gripes: 1) the road noise was bit louder than I liked, but expected and the 1.6l turbo-diesel was just not enough power when the car was fully loaded. With just me it was fine, but with everyone in the car, I either had to burn the clutch or the car would die when starting from a stop on an incline, which is quite common in Germany, especially in parking garages. Several times I would kill the car going up a ramp in a parking garage, eventually I just learned to burn the clutch (it was a rental). So if you are interested in one of these, definitely consider getting a 2.0l turbo-diesel if possible, as you will definitely need it if the car is loaded with people and cargo, isn't that what these are for?

  • @Ribeirasacra
    @Ribeirasacra 8 років тому +1

    It looks as if some things have not changed since the 2001 Peugeot 307SW, maybe before(?).
    The rear seats look the same but with different trim. The way they fix into the load-bay. The Front seats look almost identical too. Those armrests in a307 are as good as useless. When they are down you cannot use hem to support your arm and hold the comfortably/safely. Nether can you change gear easily, but in this car seeing as the gear change is almost up on the dashboard it should be easier. The other component that is a left over is the radio-control behind the steering wheel. If the cruise-control is the same shape that is also an old bit of kit. Actually once you are used to it the radio controls are quite good.
    I like the glass roof in the 307SW. In this car the consul means that rear passengers get more light but have their view blocked. The rear airconn outlets should have been installed into the B post.
    Here in Spain vans have to have a road test after once they reach two years old and then every 6 months. This vehicle is after 4 years and then yearly. So this would be the way a lot of companies/one man businesses have load carriers in Spain.

    • @marksimons2496
      @marksimons2496 8 років тому

      We traded our 307sw in for a partner van a year ago and i can inform that the seats in the partner are much lighter then the ones in the 307sw however look and operate in the same way, un less you get the 30-70 split seat rear bench and that is different, much lighter and more compact.

    I’ve had a couple of Peugeot partners now and what gives me the most irritation is road noise generated by the vehicle which makes it very difficult or impossible sometimes for me in my wheelchair in the back to hear or join in any conversations that are going on with the other passengers at the front.

    I have one of these converted for wheelchair access. It's great. Can even put one seat down to fit another person in the back, once the wheelchair is in. Bought from new and now 7 months old, the only issues I have had are a blocked FAP system at 25,000 miles and a leak in one of the gearbox seals attaching the driveshaft. Going on a 50 mile run at 3000 rpm once a week helps clear the dpf. The only other issue is the seats are quite high so elderly people may struggle getting in and out, and the handle to close the sliding doors is actually behind the rear window once the door is fully open, which is a little inconvenient if you are sitting in the back wondering how to close the door

    • @thedons4270
      @thedons4270 7 років тому +1

      Paul Rabbitts this can happen if doing a lot of low speed town driving where engine isn't being pushed hard enough regularly to clean itself out thru the FAP or dpf system. also its very very important to change the oil and filter in the 1.6 hdi every 8000 miles or once a year whichever comes first and with only fully synthetic low sap Peugeot spec oil 5W30. Even though Peugeot might say 12500 miles for servicing interval. Also never use semi synthetic or low grade oil for hdi engines. this all keeps everything including injectors cleaner.

    • @paulrabbitts833
      @paulrabbitts833 7 років тому

      Thanks Ross. My dealer is currently using 0W30 Peugoet spec oil and new filter which I have done every 10k miles. This is usually every 3 months. Do you think I ought to ask them to switch to 5W30?

    • @thedons4270
      @thedons4270 7 років тому +1

      Paul Rabbitts you can check the manual to see if fully synthetic 0w30 is ok to use for your engine code. as all oils have different additives I know Peugeot recommend fully synthetic low ash or low saps oils but 0w30 may be fine also. I only use Total Quartz INEO ecs 5W30 oil as recommended only by Peugeot as its designed specifically for their diesel units and correct performance of the fap/dpf system.

    • @thedons4270

      Paul Rabbitts I have a 508 diesel nearly 4 years and have used this oil only and change oil + filter regularly well before service interval and have never once had an issue whatsoever including the car itself.
      Very happy and not surprised either that 508 is one of the class leaders for reliability too, and that also the Peugeot psa hdi diesel is used by so many different manufacturers including Ford to Mazda and volvo.

      Wasn't it an aftermarket conversion?

    • @tomlobos2871
      @tomlobos2871 День тому

      @@MarekDrivesENG dangel is a french company that does small series and conversion kits, it could be ordered as option in some dealerships but there were vehicles that were sold through showrooms. they are still in buisness and do conversions for all vehicles that are based on PSA shared van platforms. this includes other brands versions like toyota proace, opel combo, and even larger vans like the ducato. if finding a 4x4 of those it's most likely a dangel even if it doesn't say so. intresting is that this is a manual controlled part time 4wd and some of the conversion sets even had a rear diff locker. so they are quite capable in mud, snow on sand and such if combining with a good set of tires.

    I drove the Citroen Berlingo 2016, which is exactly the same as the peugeot partner exeptuating the exterior design.
    It had a powerful diesel motor and lots of space BUT:
    -the rear seats are terrible. On one hand, they are too slim in the base, making you feel like you are sitting on one and a half seats. On the other hand, the sliding doors are so thick that you haven't got enough shoulder room. It is really annoying. I couldn't travel long distances sitting in the back.
    Furthermore, the sound system and the acoustics are the worst. Even the radio of a c3 sounds better.
    Finally, the dashboard isn't well thought out. Those empty round spaces are silly and useless and the cupholders are more than irritating. It could be a perfect car if those details were fixed.

    • @MarekDrives
      @MarekDrives 8 років тому +1

      Mark Simons OK, now I see it. Well, one really must want to camp in one's Berlingo to get this, but I guess it is an alternative to buying a trailer.

    • @marksimons2496
      @marksimons2496 8 років тому +2

      well a trailer is more expensive and you have to store it!! The boot jump makes a very compact camper. For us it looks like a great idea for weekends away with boats as we can tow a boat and have one on the roof of the van. Hence why a trailer (caravan) is not an option as we could not two a boat behind the van. The great bit about the boot jump camper is that you have a normal every day car the doubles up as a camper van but i no bigger than any other MPV. The partner can only two 1,300kg (braked) however not a problem for use as we don't tow any thing above 750kg.
