Aww I was looking forward to more 😢 but this your choice. That said this was still really helpful and I can't wait to try out it when I have the chance.
love how you explained alot of important art principles in a comprehensible way in that short amount of time :) rly packed with good info, much appreciated!
Hey man, I know you probably won't see this because this video is a year old but I wanted to thank you because this video made me so much better at this. I remade a fakemon that I had drawn a sprite for about a year ago and the difference is absolutely mind blowing. Thank you so much!
Dude, dont thank me - thank yourself instead! If you didn't have the motivation or will to push yourself and try doing this, then you wouldnt have gotten to the end result - that being with or without my silly goofy lil' video. Good job man!
my dude this was the first video i watched and it maked my better what some spriting i still need some improvements but im glad that you were able to help. Thanks alot
Thank you ! I really love how well you explained ! I was worried spriting would be a nightmare but the way you explained things made it sound fun and accessible, even to people who don't do art much, it's amazing ! 💖❤️💖
I also like how you didn't recommend starting with smaller sprite sizes like other artists. I'm sure it can be helpful, but as someone who didn't even WANT to make 8-bit or 16-bite sprites in the first place, it just frustrated me and made me give up on pixel art for awhile.
I feel like you need to be an artist first before you even attempt this xP No matter how hard I try they just look.... So off lmao. Unless I know how to correctly shade, or do perspective, it's very difficult to understand.
ENGLISH SUBTITLES ARE AVAILABLE
P.S. don't expect any more tutorials 😮

Please make a tutuorial on animating the spirtes using LibreSprite (gen 5 specifically). Love the vid! Helpful and easy to follow!
@@TheOnlyRealTatertot
I think he already did one for animating.
After I install the thing and listen to how you actually get the outlines done first, I stopped watching and made my own creation. And I love it :3
A start to something amazing :D

@@RetroNC Thank you for the kind words, this made my day. I'm going to keep at it and see if I can improve a little.
lol i was literally just about to ask what program you used before this was uploaded, thanks
No problem! Hope the tutorial helped you out :)

Glad I could help :)
You don't need to zoom out, you can use the preview window view so you can always see a zoomed out version..

I was gonna recommend aseprite too but then realized that Libresprite essentially IS Aseprite, just free. The more you know :3

This is a very useful guide, and I found it was very easy to understand what you were saying.
Made a creation of just one form of my own Fakemon. It... looks... beautiful...
This is incredible.
Ok. Now teach me to animate it like gen 5 did 🗿
nice tutorial! immediately become good after watching this. I made a pop tart pokemon lol
I wanna see👀
It's funny because you explain much better unlike some French people. Thanks to you I learned a lot of things 👍
I would love to see an animation tutorial!!!
What is the song name from 2:00 - 5:00? Please! 🙏
The Dreamyard theme from Pokemon Black and White!
@@RetroNC thank you!
Thanks to this video I made it to finally draw an exeggutor sprite
great tips, I love this
Awesome!!! Great tutorial! What is the name of the background music???
I would like to know how to make an icon for it, like the Pokémon images in the party in gen 8.
Now how do we do back sprites?
Ok i'm just gonna know this even tho i prob never gonna get the app lol
Does this program work with pre rendered sprites? This is for an unrelated project
Sorry what app did you use to create the sprites?
LibreSprite & Aseprite, which I mentioned at the start of the video
Can I use krita
what dimensions for gen1?
For Gen 1 it's 40x40, 48x48 or 56x56 depending on the size of the sprite you're making
I approve
asesprite is good
32x32 for conquest :)
For sprites that are in battle yes, but the portraits for Pokemon are 128x128 :)
wait that isn't aseprite?
LibreSprite & Aseprite are pretty much the exact same thing, so you can use either one!

Is Librespritd just Aseprite? It looks exactly the same aside from the logo.
Mostly yeah
