  • We are mowing some very steep hills and banks this year. Definitely one of the reasons I bought the Wright ZK dually. I've been very impressed so far with this machine. It's very comfortable to ride on and smooth to operate.

Pretty amazing y’all mowing this. Around my area they use tractors with batwing rotary cutters.

I hear ya on the sometimes I don't give a crap about picking up every single piece of trash. I have one commercial property in particular (Shopping Center) that has a lot of day laborers hanging out all over regardless of the security trying to kick them off. I pick up a good amount just because it is natural to me, but they litter it so much I don't even waste my time picking up every nook and cranny. It gets ran over lol

A ventrac would be awesome in this situation no to mention your sitting down. I’m not at any way shape or form interested in standing up all day on a mower don’t get me wrong they have their place but a ventrac would open up a lot of possibilities aeration mowing pond embankments trimmingtree lines and so on. Great video that wright does cut excellent in that tall grass!!

i think with the money or things that can be sold...you should put it all in a jar/box/container/whatever until the end of the year. then, you can sell the stuff that will sell, add it to any money that's found, then either split it up evenly between everyone or use it to help pay for an end-of-year/christmas party.

Looks like an absolute blast. If you carry one of those grippy sticks with you, it will save your back when you have to pick up small trash items. It could save you from getting poked as well.

That mower is awesome! Back in college i worked at a shotgun skeet shooting range and in the summers i was in charge of cutting all the grass. I wish i would have had that wright for some of the berms i had to mow.
Speaking of finding not so cool stuff i found a used syringe once out by the main road. It caught my eye from inside the cab of the mower. Needless to say that was one piece of trash i wasn't picking up 😂

In Tennessee that is considered flat. The slopes I mow on my Exmark zero turn would scare you to death. I drive straight up hills without the front wheels touching the ground. 45% plus slopes are an everyday thing.

Pick stick brother, trash is dirty as it is no need to a. Be bending over to pick it up and b. Not knowing what your grabbing. I mowed Superstore retention ponds for 2 years. Time consuming yes but pick stick the area before you mow

Just looking at it and thinking, I kinda wish they would have widened the fuel tanks a little more and lowered the top height of them some, tapering down towards the outside just to give more capacity, and add a few more "low center" pounds but that's me being picky, how much is one? I'd love to go big on my second mower then replace the first one with something smaller and faster but I'm a guy just starting. So far I have a 54" Husqvarna 26HP, a Stihl fs56rc weedeater, a Stihl bg65 handheld blower, and two Stihl chainsaws, a ms251 woodboss, and a ms290 farmboss. I feel like I can gain decent speed with upgrading in any area other than the saws, it feels like the blower holds me back the most but in reality the mower is probably leaving the most on the table, any input??? Anyone?

One of the things I hated was finding the needles and drugs. In small quantities we would discard in the trash. Large we would call LEO. Always picked up thing with the "pickers". I never wanted some kid to find the stuff if I choose to ignore it. Just another of the many hassles of being in the business.

I was weed eating a commercial property that bordered a highway and along the guard rail there was very thick grass. About half way threw the 100 degree day I was getting tired & basically in robot mode until I hit a bottle off piss and it exploded. I had it all over my face, in my eyes and all over me. Needless to say I was in a very bad mood & subsequently this was the last commercial property I ever cut. Be careful!

I would have call the cops and have them come out and get it. What happens if some teenagers walking along the road and found that? Even the needles could harm someone. Better safe than sorry. Maybe not for the weed but I would every time for anything else.

No offence....but as a trusted contractor and a component trying to build a customer up you should probably return everything you find......even the bad stuff. It will help you in the long run as an owner.Good stuff(phones, wallets, etc) should always been turned in.Bad things(needles, excessive litter, poop) should also be documented and turned in if applicable to gain customer trust and improve leverage on a new increased bid.

“Dropped it and kicked it under the bush”.
    Your kidding right?
I hope so, being paid to maintain along the highway you should expect dangerous sharps.
Wearing tennis shoes , riding a dually mower acting like you have a pair, but I guess you want someone else to find it again, unexpectedly, most likely it would be one of your employees trying to do a better job then you actually do on the next spring clean up of that property.
Seriously, you have to be lying just to avoid the whole “ he had possession of dope”
    BS
