    *sorry* about this situation. Based on your feedback and a few other guys in FL we are working to source a permanent solution for this. Till then the 14mm honda Drainzit hose on Amazon helps. We're arrangeing for something that will drain faster then the Drainzit.

      Mr. Wright, I'm glad the CEO and designer of the machine is never satisfied with his work. You have really shown that you listen to the users and are active in their business. You are setting your company to become a dominant force in lawn care. My question is if you looking at electric options like mean green mowers?

    You should also factor in that you have slopes that you are climbing every pass, and obstacles such as trees, having to get off of the mower to pick up trash. I own the same mower, with a set of dual wheels due to steeper terrain where I maintain lawns, and rural areas. One subdivision that I mow has 19 lots and I knock it out in 45 minutes with the 72, use a 36” for the perimeters and smaller spaces. I agree with the oil changes, hard to get to. Also, somewhat difficult to clean underneath the deck…love the mower, nice video.

    Very cool having Mr. Wright comment! I watched a video where he worked with Saving Green and am impressed. Also learned they make a lot of the parts for the John Deere standers. Wish we had a Wright dealer near North, MS.

    I think hiring extra people is not a smart way of doing things. DO Not give up. What I do is I contract out the work to my buddy's lawn care service. I know he does a great job and he is still building his business. He loves the extra work and I love having a free insurance policy LOL. It also allows me to go on vacation with the family mid season.

    Appreciate this vid as I’m trying to get an understanding of about how much time I can save by mowing with a Wright or other commercial mower. Big help. I have just under 3 acres of grass on my farm so this was perfect. Currently taking about 2.5 hrs with my Deere X340 tractor which has a 54” deck.

    Having so much to do is a great problem to have! Wright is really stepping up their social media presence lately. Pretty interesting to see them utilizing this type forum to increase business. I'm totally on board with their tactic. Looking forward to seeing some Wright equipment at the GIE this year. Great video man. Why are people so nasty!?! They had to know someone was going to have to pick up that bottle at some point. Gross.

    I can mow my 1.2 acre lawn in about 45 minutes with my John Deere QuikTrak 652R, which is very comparable to the Wright Stander X. I have a mildly sloped lot and multiple beds that I string trim the borders every other cut. The stander does fine. The most it ever slips on hilly areas is if the grass is wet.

  • @Metalbladelawncare
    @Metalbladelawncare Рік тому

    a lot of variables in mowing.
    The max you could do in a square lot with no stopping would be around
    72(inch deck)X12.5(mph)X.8(80% efficiency) / 100 = 7.2 acres per hour.

    you handled the piss bottle scenario quite well.
    I dropped my sub contracted mowing this year. It was nerve racking to say the least but I'm pretty happy that I did it at this point. If someone else is getting a piece of the pie you are leaving money on the table BUT it can be a great schedule filler.
    great video.

    for things like the bottle full of pee... keep a little pack of sanitizing wipes on you. i keep a pack in a cargo pocket in case i'm out somewhere and my hands get grimy or i have to touch something that's questionable.
    also, i like to wear a camelbak water bladder if i'm going to by outside for extended periods when it's hot. it's nice to have water ready to drink (up to 3 liters, depending on the size of the bladder) instead of having to stop and go back to the truck/house to get a drink. it helps just to stay hydrated to keep from burning up out in the hot-ass sun.

And a stihl kambi system with red max blower or echo, trimmer and edger lol. So ya...probably will never happen but I watch yall and it makes me hungry to be there one day! Thanks for all u do!

    Eww the bottle! sorry that happened! It sounds about right to me, our 3 acre property takes us about 2 1/2 hours but that's double mowing and trimming so I agree with your 2 1/2 - 3 acres average per hour.

    I feel your pain with the big properties and the soda bottle that’s not soda! We mowed a few weigh scales from 2010-2015 that were 3 acres each, very well lit, very little trimming, lots of riding and mow whenever you’d like. It was fun just didn’t pay the greatest.

    Got an idea that might work for that oil issue.
    Have you tried a basin wrench? It's specifically designed for getting into tight spaces at sharp angles that you can't get to with normal tools. It might be a little easier to do what you need. No less challenging, but easier.
    Or you can just install a hose. :-)

    I used to maintain a lot for a trucking company. As a former CDL Class A driver for 8 years, I know what those bottles contain. Hope you never run over a little plastic bag, it'll be even worse. Nasty truck drivers!!! Always keep in mind a LARGE debris cleaning charge when pricing. Learned that one the hard way even though I knew what to expect. Looks like you are living the dream. Here is mine, from 8:30am till 10:00am I mowed less than 10K sq feet. This, ua-cam.com/video/Z6szXyEVZ7s/v-deo.html , is the second property and the first was smaller. Two more each day of the week until Fridays four. Gonna be a long hard winter :( Thanks for sharing that awesome video. I'll use my former CB handle, HITMAN out.

    Hey man, just buy you a electric oil pump and then add quarter inch copper tubing 12 inches in length to the suction side. Replace the copper tube in through the filler cap and give it couple of minutes and all the oil is out. You will never have to drain again. Just make sure on the discharge side your container doesn’t over fill LOL it happens. The eclectic oil pump on Amazon is 19.99 and copper tubing no more than IDK $20.00 and the pump hold up extremely well.

    • @cedricparker86
      @cedricparker86 6 років тому

      Sorry I think it’s 1/8 copper tubing it just needs to slide through the filler neck into the oil pan. Also be careful the tube can get suctioned to the bottom of the oil pan just pull it up a little.

    it is two years later, you may not even own this mower today. I ask a personal question. you just came back from the wright family reunion- I assume this is wright mowers, yes? you make a video with scag apparel on?
    on a completely different note. why worry about the drain plug? purchase a 6 quart oil vac canister to draw the oil out the dipstick tube. works on most small engines and no mess. as a side benefit you don't have to worry about tightening the drain plug or rounding it off. under $80 at harbor freight. lasts for years.

    Hi After watching your videos you have really inspired me to take my lawn care business more serious. I am 14 Im in my first season. I was wondering if you have any tips on how to get customers. Currently I only have about 4 loyal customers. Many people have contacted me and asked how much I charge per month. What I Currently Do is I charge per cut. Evrey Time we service their yard they will need to pay. Many people want service evrey week for a low price per month. For example 4 times a month for only $40. Thats a little bit of money and profit for me. The business is runed by me and my brother. We split the money in half for the total earnings made that day. Any tips and suggestions will help. Thank You!!!
