There are better guitarists in the world, but when it comes to strangling the guitar until it makes totally otherworldly noises, absolutely no one touches Daniel Ash.
They sound amazing, Peter is fucking killing on the vocal control, he is a master unaffected by age because he knows when to push and pull back. Great showmanship all around. Glad he fucking kicked that stand too!
Everyone says "yeah anyone can cover Ziggy and sound good" Wrong, these guys cover Ziggy and make it sound absolutely fucking immense just like they did originally, live you get to feel it in your bones, I count myself blessed to have seen them right at the beginning and am so glad they are all still here with us. Now get off your arses and give us a killer new album before you disappear again.
Saw them 8 times back in the 80s, this sounds just as good as it did then, one of my all time favourite bands, along with killing joke ,echo and the bunnymen and joy division lucky enough to have seen them all several times
@@martinharris5017 Because he's a professional! 🙂 I've only had the good fortune to see him live twice - once in the 1998 Bauhaus reunion and solo in 2000 and both performances were absolutely magical. I could tell stories, but don't want to bore anyone. His is one of the voices that reaches deep down into my soul and I know when he finally leaves us it's going to hit me at least as hard as Bowie's passing did.
Phenomenal. I was at the show in 81 or 82 when they first performed Ziggy at a London venue. They would play it as a encore before the single was released. I can honestly say they played the song with more power and authority in the clip above than when I saw them. (OK, they've had 40+ years to perfect it, but you get the point ;) )
These two songs in particular have a special place in my heart as I covered them back in '95 playing drums in a goth band. Great times, crazy times. Blue Mondays and Helter Skelter were the places to be at that time as well.
Holy crap!! I didn’t even recognize Peter Murphy!!??? Hellzzzzzz ya! 🤘🤘🤘🤘He sounds amazing!!!!! I want to see them so bad!! Hope they come around where I live!! Thank you soooo much for sharing!! 🖤😻🖤🦇🖤☠️🖤
It’s so awesome being able to see these guys at their ages up performing songs that were at the core of the soundtrack to my youth! Now if only I could see an actual Tones on Tail reunion with all the original members, which obviously is mostly just Love & Rockets anyways… but hopefully Glenn is still around and interested… ;)
Magnificent! Peter Murphy command’s the stage. Voice in top form. Fan of Bauhaus and Peter’s solo discography. 3 months ago I posted a video to the amazing DEEP album.
check out this live version of the same song with the same line up from 1982 ua-cam.com/video/K0bLCILyVRk/v-deo.html glad you enjoyed the festival it looks amazing from the videos on here
as a singer, whose many contemporaries (even younger than he is) have to pitch shift their material down considerably, Peter Murphy has kept impeccable care of his voice as he's aged. what a smart and talented guy. :)
Classic a band apart. Remember a gig at the lyceum theatre Sheffield in the 80's one of many times I went to see them but this concert still sticks in my psyche probably the best gig I ever attended.
Bauhaus and Peter Murphy are and have always been in my top 5 bands. Seen them several times in my 48 years on this planet.... September 20th is my target date as he will be in Dallas. "UNDEAD"
I saw them in 05 and 07 opening for NIN. The first time all I remember is puking up Red Stripe in to the toilet while a fellow drunkard sung “Telegraaaaaaam Sam”.
Nooooooooo! They just cancelled the rest of their tour. Had tickets to see them in DC. Hoping that Peter completes his rehab and that they get back on it soon :(
But when David first suggested that Peter shave his head, he said 'Peter Murphy does not shave his head, he will not look like Satan's fucken spaaawwwn!' I think it looks all right, actually.
Love this band so much!! They still sound so freaking good! If you want to check out another unique goth metal nugget, give the new Lucious Bloodfire single 'Shallow Grave' a spin. ua-cam.com/video/QfPSWsp0IuE/v-deo.html
Daniel Ash is one of the most underrated guitarists in history.
Agreed, Andy Gill of Gang of Four would be another pick
Hes different .ill give u that
So true! Love and Rockets #forever
There are better guitarists in the world, but when it comes to strangling the guitar until it makes totally otherworldly noises, absolutely no one touches Daniel Ash.
John McGeoch too.
Love Peter Murphy’s voice. He is still an amazingly beautiful man.
That was a fun show, I could watch this band over and over. 😃🖤
He's still got it! His voice sounds incredible.
They sound amazing, Peter is fucking killing on the vocal control, he is a master unaffected by age because he knows when to push and pull back. Great showmanship all around. Glad he fucking kicked that stand too!
100% agreed, his vocals are still on point from the late 80's when i first saw them, amazing
yes ! Fuck that stand!!!

The shaved head look really suits Peter Murphy 😊
This was one of the best festival sets I’ve ever witnessed in my 48 years. They won the whole festival.
Agreed
Ditto…I was blown away by them
Hands down. It was never close. From Double Dare, they simply destroyed.
Pete Murphy now looks like Rob Halford 👍😀
I was going to say Billy Joel.
Saw them 8 times back in the 80s, this sounds just as good as it did then, one of my all time favourite bands, along with killing joke ,echo and the bunnymen and joy division lucky enough to have seen them all several times
dang dude, you have seen some LEGENDS
4 top bands you mention there man.
One LUCKY man!!! I am so jealous!!! If only I could see your memories through your eyes!! 🖤🤘🖤😻🖤
LoL I've seen a few of those bands Still Rock Harder!!! Cheers
Joy Division? Where? When?
Best Live Band on Earth 🖤
Classy! The true kings of Dark Glam! :0)
I feel like i wasnt supposed to live this long. They are fucking amazing.
Don't feel bad buddy I'm not even able to drink and I feel the same.
Peter still sounds great; love his baritone voice.
They took this song to another level
Peter Murphy looks just as cool as he did 40 years ago
Still one fo the greatest live acts I've ever seen - albeit 40 years ago....Such a tight band.
These guys are just impeccable. They look and sound great! Real artists for life.
What an amazing band!
I’m so happy I saw this !! KILLER PERFORMANCE. I’m gonna remember it forever
I was at the Saturday show. They were awesome!!!!!
Holy crap this is ace..sonic guitar !
Brilliant sounds great I love bauhaus, Peter Murphy is excellent performer looks really good with the shaved head great video 🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇🇬🇧🎤🎸🥁🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Press Eject and Give Me the Tape! I regret not seeing them back in the 80's.
That mic stand belonged to David J for the backup vocal...he looked slightly upset, when Peter kicked with a vengeance. It is still the great show.
The only guy on Earth who can wear a sparkly shirt and still look utterly sinister! He's still got it after all these years!
and trip over a mic stand
@@kentallard8852 And carry on performing.
@@martinharris5017 Exactly! His recovery was perfect - got back on stage singing the right lyrics for that point in the song.

An "elder goth".lol😂
That’s cool asf
Anyone see the ghost of David Bowie TRIP Peter when he started singing Ziggy Stardust????

@@aquabot I agree with you!
That's brilliant. Great to see them really rocking it live in 2022
Was our last artist of the night after an awesome day there. Didn’t know any of their music but the show was intense! His stage presence was huge.

I’m beyond elated that we were there for second night! Even they said that it was one of their best shows! The eclipse pushed it over the top!
saw these guys in 1982, a hot sweaty nightclub in Manchester, feet from the stage, this is what live performances are about.
Sounds as good as they did 40 odd years ago when I seen them on mask tour
Bauhaus =Perfection🖤🖤🦇🦇🔥🔥
wow ,,how impressive, hope i can see them live some day , thanks for upload 👍😎🌞
Even after tripping and falling over, peter still kept on with the show. Much respect.

My fav track to play. Loud fast and moody. Good club rocker.
Phenomenal! Thank you!

Sounds like Bowie 🕺🏽
Just epic @ this time of the planet! Meeting him was a splendid bijou to me! Yes!
So cresciuta con i Bauhaus 💜🔥✨✨✨ colonna sonora della mia vita
Brilliant concert and superb video! Thanks for sharing
こんなカッコいい八つ当たり初めて見たわ。
Будучи подростком, ещё в СССР слушал BAUHAUS!
wow, love them!
I was surprised to see him get back up.
you should mention in the title that after Dark Entries there is Ziggy Stardust. Great video!! Thanks for posting!
Thanks! I forgot that they'd performed that right after Dark Entries!
Outstanding gentleman

Too bad they had to cancel the second leg of the tour. I had tickets. I hope Peter gets well enough to perform again.
EXCELLENT 🖤⚡🖤
Sounding absolutely fantastic. That fall was fantastic too....or was he just giving us a bit of the St.Vitus Dance? 🤣👍
I like this performance of dark entries better than the version from the original album. Well done.

Music for connoisseurs. 😎
I wanna see them.. Please come to Australia
Still Dark & Classy af...
Peter, peter, peter, DANIEL ASH!

lucky he didn't get too hurt when he fell
Bauhaus Eternal
shaving his head was so smart.
He can still actually sing unlike Jon Bon Jovi
