Stuff gets still destroyed though. In the first game, the church Bayonetta was in was destroyed by Fortitudo and when you destroy stuff like benches and barrels, the humans in the living world act scared because they see stuff getting broken but they can't see Bayonetta doing it since she's in Purgatorio.
@@YunoMe4life Don't forget that Vigrid was turned into a molten firestorm, the loss of life must have been massive. And none can forget the trail of destruction in Bayo's wake on Route 666. Claudio Lancia no, in the first game although it may be confusing he pretty much explains to her that he is her father. And in the first game there are a lot of references that a child aka Bayonetta was born from a lumen sage and a umbra witch and he is the only Lumen Sage left alive
4:50 I was playing when my friends were over and this scene happened. We literally stopped talking, watched it, finished the fight, and in unison said "That was the coolest fucking thing I've ever seen in a video game."
I've been playing Bayonetta 2. The boss fights get better and better as they go, each one somehow tops the one before it. Each one is so insane, and it's really exciting.
+Timid Fool Yeah, true, it fell flat at the end. But the ride was amazing from beginning to end. Bayonetta 2 for the most part was more energetic and better paced than the first, but the end boss of Bayonetta 1 was amazing.
+George Baev The final Aesir fight is probably the best boss fight in the entire stylish action genre. Jubileus was better looking but gameplay-wise is complete shit when compared with Aesir
Yeah, but at the end of the game Balder makes very clear the angels were not fighting seriously and were only giving Bayonetta the appearance of challenge so she would still go straight towards Balder without being suspicious. This is what happens when they fight all out. Bayonetta could have been killed.
@Teseo The serial Experiment Nah, she was clearly holding back. She is known as the Mistress Of Atrocity. She would've DESTROYED Temperantia if Bayonetta told her to. Plus, almost all his attacks were either blocked or dodged. All he really managed to do was push her away enough to the point where he was able to get an attack in towards Bayonetta before Butterfly came back.
@Teseo The serial Experiment Man please, Butterfly can headbutt meteors. She has no physical damage on her. All he managed to do was push her back. Even when having that punch out session, Butterfly was able to match him. She would've EASILY destroyed him if Bayonetta wanted her to. Then, look at how slow his attacks are. Smh And the reason she took so long to come back is just to give Balder some time to charge the attack. Same as when you fight Labolas. All she had to do is rip off his arms or just brutally beat in his face or torso, and he's done. As I said, Butterfly would dominate him. Wind vs Brute Force and Sadism. Lol
@Teseo The serial Experiment Oh, and as I state, she was HOLDING BACK. That's why he didn't take so long to come back from that headbutt, nor was it in the animation for him to come back after that. She would wreck Temperantia is she went all out.
@Teseo The serial Experiment Muscle??? Temperantia is pure Porcelain and Exoskeleton. Butterfly is Dark Magic + Muscle +Brutality + Power And who said she didn't have powers??? If she didn't, then how can Bayonetta make a pact with her??? Just got because we haven't seen her use them YET, doesn't mean that she doesn't have them. It literally states in her bio on the website that she has magic. He can headbutt a meteor??? With THAT small head??? Lol She HAS A REPUTATION in hell for her power and brutality. Wind powers dont mean squat if you can't use them in time to avoid a punch flying your way. She is an infernal demon, KNOWN for her brutality and sadism, fighting a floating creature with big, but slow arms that can control wind. Who says that Butterfly isn't strong enough to push through the wind??? She doesn't stand a chance??? Meanwhile she is the only who doesn't show visible damage and I the only one who is getting in DIRECT hits, while also managing to avoid his attacks. Heck, all she has to do is hop on top of him and trample him to death with her heels if Bayonetta wanted her to. As I said, it's CLEAR she was holding back. You can see during that punch out, that she managed to fight on par with him. When their fists collided, it caused an explosion.
As much as I Iove Bayonetta 3 and respect the amount of time and passion that went into the Demon Slaves and Demon Masquerades, there is nothing in that game that even comes close to how hype this fight alone was.
kinda sad sad saying but this is more epic than final boss Aesir. I deem the 1st game kept the epicness throughout. Giant bosses in that are more predictable - say what.
Pelvic Gaming the "expert" reviews showering accolades scoring it above the to my mind superior 1st installement. Give me part 3 albeit improved story, massive bosses (including to rival GoW 3's titan) and worthwhile innovation.
Jeremiah Stewart if you mean deathbattle it doesn’t count. It’s basically a fanbased outcome of the fight and not the creator’s. So we still don’t know who would win.
@Jeremiah Stewart Doesn't count. Bayo had every opportunity to remove his head or summon her even stronger demons. Fanbased animation's or stories, don't count.
How sega made shinobi, then they made the spinoff version of it called nightshade, along with hotsuma the main character from shinobi in nightshade as a main character which was dope. they can definitely make a spinoff version of bayonetta about balder. Or bayonetta 2 needs to come out with dlc to make balder playable in the story line or give him a story mode. i dont like having to go online just to play with him. this game is already good, but it can have a lil bit more ya know.
When it jumps to the flying it's like a fucking episode of Dragon Ball Z with a giant Pokemon battle going on in the background, This game is awesome and Hilariously fucking ridiculous at the same time
I remember thinking that nothing could top the Jeanne fights in Bayo 1 going into this game. I still can’t say it topped it for sure, but the Masked Lumen fights are at the very least equal quality.
Imo Masked Lumen is definitely better of the two. One weakness of Jeanne's as a rival and arguably as a character in general, is that everything going into her design consists of just colour-swapped and renamed versions of whatever Bayonetta has, whereas with Masked Lumen/Balder they actually created a rival who's different from Bayonetta, but in a way that works as a contrast to her powers and tools, which I personally find to be one of the key elements in creating a great rival. Not to mention narratively young Balder's just better as an antagonist for actually having a character motivated reason for fighting Bayo, whereas Jeanne only fought her due to being brainwashed.
Aesir felt harder than Jubileus, but yeah, he's not nearly as epic. Of course, it's kind of hard to beat fighting the giant god of Paradiso. Those combos Aesir had though.... agh. My first few runs I kinda struggled fighting him because of me not having collected the witch hearts enough and also because he just wailed on you throughout the fight forcing you to dodge until your hand was sore.
What's the music that plays as the giant boxing match begins? It's different than the rest of the music throughout the boss fight, and I gotta know the name of it.
I love when a skilled player does the boss fights like this and still gets hit. It's almost like, this is how the fight would really go down in lore
What's more amazing is that this is the first time you met the Masked Lumen and the scale of battle is already like this.
There comes a point where you start to question how the city's still intact from all of these boss fights.
After this one it definitely stopped being such)
They're fighting in Purgatorio.
Stuff gets still destroyed though. Madama Butterfly, I would expect her entrance to be nothing less
