Queen / Madame Butterfly has Sparda vibes, perhaps both being regal and legendary figures (or just inspiration). I just couldn't ignore this since she is super cool. Also I loved how she expressies her femininity without hesitation, just like Bayonetta being a badass since the first game. Another colourful, unique and dope gameplay aesthetics.
I like how Madama Butterfly always seems to be having the time of her life in those fights, I can imagine she actually looks forward to Bayonetta summoning her because she knows it's going to be a ton of fun.
I’ve been a huge fan of Bayonetta since I was 9 years old. 9 years latter I am now 18 and was not left disappointed with the playout of this game (although I wasn’t expecting or wanting Bayonetta to die, I guess it’s also nice to see that we’ll be able to see a series of her daughter). Edit: Baal Zebul served so hard. The light sticks that appeared in the background made me feel like this came straight out of a mixture of kpop and opera. Whoever sung those notes irl, sing gurl.

Umbra witches are pretty much doomed though. They basically can't afford to die since they sold their souls away to a demon in exchange for power. I'm not sure if their soul is tortured forever, devoured by a demon or turned into a demon. I'm not sure if the lore goes into specifics but it's a gamble for sure.

That death battle was BS, even at the time but especially now. Didn't bayonetta punch the creator (albeit an incomplete form) across the solar system into the sun. I feel like that death battle was fueled by nostalgia and attachment to Dante and DMC which is a bigger franchise than bayonetta, especially at the time.
I kinda hoped there would had been an Omne transformation or at least a Queen Sheba. And considering Bayo fused with 2 more of herselfs she would be powerful enough to summon her alone.

Viola transformation, first thing to hit me was the similarity to Madama Butterfly, and the word there is more story to come, and what Luka was saying...so was Luka a demon reincarnated this whole time? (Like Kurama from YuYuHakusho only with amnesia) and set on a mission to find Bayonetta, with his aesthetic also being like Madama Butterfly and her contract and unknown how they made the contract *per the backstory files* with Bayonetta...feel there was a plan there, like Cereza's own DNA was mixed with Madama Butterfly plus this Luka to create Viola...which does raise the theory that in Bayonetta 4 this Cereza will be trying to leave Inferno with Luka after becoming pregnant with their own timeline's Viola as Inferno looks to have some plans going on. Which means the stakes will be lower but more personal than in Bayonetta 3. One does wander if one of the last two game Bayonettas is actually this Viola's mother and if that fusion stayed between the three of them so going forward Cereza is a combination of all three.
