I love how excited the guy is. Hes so proud of his car and he knows EVERYTHING about it down to the pin. I love hearing two guys talking about cars intelligently.
excellent car.... and that guy looks like a bond villain
+Yuriy Kovalov He was in the PB era i beleive
He looks like Pierce's Uncle.
Bond Villain or maybe he would like to drink Jay's blood. Cool dude either way.
180 HP and 5 speed in 1924
Impressive
You can definitely tell that Mr. Huni is a very refined and very well educated individual who knows about these cars and their history in the most minute details. What an incredible piece of machinery and probably one of the most technologically advanced cars in the world at the time. That thing has to be absolutely PRICELESS in value with the history of racing and it's sheer beauty. That body work and engine work are absolutely STUNNING. And the cars appears to be original.
2.0L and 180 Hp without a Turbo? Thats astonishing!!! Thats pretty impressive even if you compaire it to modern "small" race cars without charging the engine!
These pre-war racing cars are all just insanely cool. Grand Prix, Indy, le Mans, even the little sprint cars and midgets, or home-made/modified salt flats cars; they all just ooze 'cool'. But with this car in particular- the quality of workmanship, and technology/performance in the era, is so impressive.
And now thanks to dedicated modders within the Assetto Corsa community, there's now nine pre-WW2 car mods built from the ground up:
🇫🇷 1923 Bugatti Type 32 Tank
🇫🇷 1923 Voisin C6 Laboratoire
🇬🇧 1923 Sunbeam 2-Litre GP
🇮🇹 1923 Fiat 805-405
🇫🇷 1923 Delage 2LCV
🇫🇷 1923 Rolland-Pilain A22
🇫🇷 1927 Delage 15S8
🇩🇪 1937 Auto Union Type C
🇩🇪 1937 Mercedes-Benz W125
Sim Racing allows enthusiasts to live automotive history across almost every era and discipline imaginable, especially with Sim platforms open to modding such as AC and RFactor 2 allowing contributors to share the Deep Cuts that the original developers don't have the time for.
now that's one refined aristocrat right there, son
I like how this distinguished older gentleman shows such a boyish enthusiasm the more he talks about the car culminating with the engine firing up. Great stuff Jay!
That exhaust is awesome looking.
Simply Amazing piece of automotive history. Thanks for sharing.
I love Jay car reviews, they are simple, to the point, and very educational.
more cars from this era :D
especially cars that had major engineering experiments or firsts.
Love the videos, you deserve a show about cars just like this.
A full-length tour, even if it was multiple parts, would be amazing
I like in particular the videos of the vintage cars from the 1920's and 1930's.
Very nice, thanks for posting.
"When the drivers were fat, and the tires were skinny" lol
Good observation Jay lol
And he responded with “You are not speaking for yourself” lol
Jay Leno has the best job of all time... Talk show host and a car show
Just looking at these guys....real gentleman talking about real cars and real car talk. Thats what i like. Keep it up Jay.
i love Jay Leno passion for cars..a true car guy that's all about the car...unlike others that say " i have the best jobs ect..." when you find something you love its not a job....another great video Jay..gots to love classics
that thing is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks again Jay
Such a great era for Gran Prix, and very underrated
It would be really interesting to see a tour of the garage itself. Perhaps a week-in-the-life of the garage with its imployees and Jay picking up the car he'll be driving that day, hearing his reason for choosing that particular car, etc. Also, it would be very interesting to be brought along on a buying of a new car for the garage - from seeing the ad or listing to checking the car out, driving it back home etc. Thanks for an absolutely great channel.
Jay Leno for American Top Gear!
Wow! What a sound! Very technically advanced for 1924.
Amazing
Jay awesome show. You get to the deep bottom of what really needs to be known about cars. As a suggestion I would love to see a clip of you reviewing a Mitsubishi Evolution X.
jay leno is a tremendous representative of americans and I mean it as a compliment, a real individual, not a aristocrat, but was able to afford a place in the circle with people who believe they are above everyone.
Legendary Car!!
oh wow! superb car!!
Good stuff Jay.
Beautiful
you are awesome jay!
What a jewel of a car! A dream!
We would love to see all of Jay's collection!
2 stroke engine cars would be amazing!
I would like to see Racing Greenwood Corvettes :) but anything that is posted on UA-cam is great, thanks again.
Great looking car!
Great car and great video! (BRM did win the 1962 F1 Drivers Championship with Graham Hill at the wheel). Thanks!
Hello Jay...love your shows and watch your late night show every night...can you do a tour on your garages, and show us the classics and rare cars you have that be awesome.
Bugatti's arch enemy, Delage.
Louis Delage died the same year as Ettore.
"Incredible" HP/litre ratio for 1924.
I would love to see a tour of his garage! I know it would take a while but could you do many episodes?
Jay, as for myself, I would like to see some classic trucks as well.....Thanks for the great videos.
de l'efficacité et de l'art combiné ça donne ça et plus jamais nous aurons les oreilles qui tombent en entendant ces machines ...décidémment tout se perd et quel pied cela doit être de posséder un engin pareil ...JAY n'est pas en reste avec son musée
My particular thing i would want to see is Jay with his own show on cars! haha
I could watch these Pebble Beach clips all day, anyone know how often the organisers hold the event?
jay can u please do an episode on a forgotten italian sports car the CIZETA V16T ??? i would like to know more about it u always ask great questions & have car related guests
want to see more of your bikes and old engines
can you make a video on a EB 110 bugatti? id love that
I don't know which car you can show to us, but if there are more rare cars from the '20s or '30s I would like to see and hear them.
It's cool that he doesn't just own the car but knows it in and out
If I'm not mistaken, the guy pumping the fuel by hand is the US sales manager for Pur Sang.
please, more walks around the shop so we can see the shop, its hard when everything's split up like now! :D
yea i was thinking those hp numbers were exaggerated. how much hp do you think it has and how much the car weights?
That's a damn nice HP/liter output for the 20's!
WoW a Grand Prix car just WoW
I wish Leno would quit late night and spend his time talking about cars. I could watch this show all day.
This guy would be great in a movie.
hi what do you know about aussie ford falcons the fg f6 has 310 kilowatts its a six clynder.....what do think about them or what have you heard....thanks Al...
I would love to have a "Jay leno show" with cars... take in people and have a good talk with them... wishfull thinking since such things costs alot to produce though :P
If There Is A Bluebook Value To This Vehicle, It's Certainly In The Millions Category...
i would love to see more strange rare supercars, like spyker, morgan, mosler, and koneggseg or however you spell it
Could you please do the original Mini ? The old mini like the austin or steve morris the ones that were made in the 50's and early 60's
3:32 If such as thing as a smooth burn exists, that was it.
Well, me being Dutch, would you mind doing a section on Spyker (any Spyker car will do)
V12's make the best engine sounds one Earth. Even the ones from the 1925 rival most V8 sounds from today
some companies would surprise u
I want to see the Mclaren F1 again in HD!.
I guess they don't allow the denim shirts at Pebble Beach?
Maybe when Jay retires from the Late Show, he could do a series on PBS on performance cars of all ages..
I note in background an old Blitzen Benz, wonder if that could be a future show..?
I know a guy with two in his garage here in France, a '29 model which he is restoring and a rstored '55 model, he had a third one (model I am not sure) which he sold for 90000 euros which was later sold in Paris for 180000 euros, the mascot of this he has kept now on his coffee table, made by lalique christal!
2.0L V12 DAMN My Mr2 Is A 2.0L I4 HAHA I Love Those Tiny Motors.
it would be cool to see jay go the germany and drive the Nürburgring with his car or choice
he should be the host of TopGear america!
jay show some car from the 70's and 80's from australia
"Pardon me ....pass the grey poupon"
You don't call BRM a total failure, the sound of it you scare the shit out of you.
how about more motorcycle episodes
Amazing to see such a poor man turn into such a huge success.
I'd love to see a Pegaso z-102 or a 1956 Thunderbird
Woohoo
Sounded like they said redline was 5000rpm in the video and if that is the case without any forced induction there is no way it has 190 hp from 2 liters and a 5000rpm limit.
180-190HP from 2 liters with a maximum rotation speed of 5K in 4 cycle piston engine. Sounds like some nitro(doubtful) or maybe they measure the horsepower different then current NET ratings at the crank.
Honestly I prefer how the car looked at the 1923 French Grand Prix
Is it just me or does Mr huni look like he lives in a hollowed out volcano where he plots his evil schemes.
late night is getting him rich
Probably that's with supercharger. You'll need about 7000rpm to get 90-95 hp/ liter
no but I also thought it was him
The guy look like the Rolls-Royce boos
ZR1 !!
Why PBS? Disco, History, Speed or Velocity would all be better channels for a show like that.
litter =little
factory five cars or a 73 ford f100 please
Hmmmm I would like to differ. Being a car guy, and being an elitist too, I have to admit that some V8 engines just sound like power.
2.0 180 HP. .1924. I find it a little hard to believe. The 1955 Mercedes gp car had a DOHC 4 valve per cylinder 3.0 desmodromic making 100 HP/liter
no burnout? lol
I'd really love to see more about classic Japanese cars.
Maybe not so interesting for most people, buy any Citroen would be appreciated. :)
Yah, that would be nice but the millions he makes from Late Night helps pay for all his amazing cars, man Jay Leno is like the car god.
mercedes benz clk gtr!
