My goal in this video is simple, show you what $7,500 per month rent gets you in NYC! Comment below if you think the apartment is worth the price and if you are interested in seeing MORE rental tours at various prices including budget and luxury!
You should do a video on the NYC housing lotteries that offer extremely expensive apartment at huge discounts.
pleas make a volge twise in a week --and what u doing theas days
Make vlogs plz
Yea this was a great video in your Apartment series, def want to see more in this price range!
like someone said " i dont watch tv, ill watch Real Life"
Imagine paying $7,500 a month and your friends will have to sleep on the couch because there’s only 1 room
True 😂
Welcome to nyc.
That's crazy. It should have been 2 bedrooms. 7,500 a month is exorbitant for 1bed
@@yourlandladysson6395 dude it's new york
@@Fartleks I know. And I also know you can get a better deal with 7,500
Imagine paying $7,500 a month just so the balcony faces jersey....
FINALLY - someone else that gets it. You must be a native. It MAY be worth $7,500 per month to moon them!
Jersey has a bad rep but north jersey suburbs are top of the line in the country
@@robertjacobson1481 Yes I learned this from Clerks, Happiness, and Mallrats.
PRIVATE balcony lol Ive never seen an apartment where the balconies are not private.
@@BrUh-km6il Some have cheeky partitions or are so close you can pass a beer to your neighbor. But here, when he says "private balcony" he was probably saying 'private' as opposed to a common area in the building.
"Massive kitchen" -I laughed
yeah no doubt lmao.my kitchen is nearly as big as that entire apartment.my rent is no where near 7500 a month.
I know, right! Yeah, it's bigger than average but for 7500 a month those cabinets are nothing special. The place is not big enough for that price
@Rob Moss It's particularly funny because this kitchen is definitely not massive even by NYC standards (especially "luxury" which usually have islands etc).
LOL! The amount of times he used the word 'massive' to describe a NY apartment.
Yup
So
Small...
Imagine spending 7500/month and still not owning anything
If you're paying $7.5k/mo for rent, there's a solid chance you own plenty. You just might not own land, but since we don't live in 18th century England, that's not too big of a problem for wealthy people.
That s probably not even a good investment for the owner
There are people who pay 20 lol
It's for those who make 7000 every 2-3 days
Some people have it to blow or then get it for their kids. Or they’re there for a year or 2 on business.
800 bucks for the apartment and 6700 for the location ...
more like 800 bucks for that apartment, and 6700 to cover the mortgage for the landlord
So true... The appartement is good but like you say: it's shouldn't cost more than 800-1000$. The view is awesome but I would never pay 6500$ a month for a nice view. I would pay about 1700$ a month.
rraannddoomm I don’t even like paying rent so ...
Imagine having 7,5 grand to spare each month no problem and this is the offer you get...
It's just sad.
Also, whoever used to live in the apartment before and is now renting it - we see you. You're not sleek.
For 7500 a month that oven is gonna have to be better than that lol 😂
Biggest scam ever. Lol I live in Brooklyn and the only good thing about this is the view. You can get a much better apartment for $1,350 pm 🤷🏾♂️
@@MakeTrixNotWar where in Brooklyn are you finding an apt that cheap now? Not even a studio is that price anymore
WPC8925 don’t sleep on east New York
and so little countertop space...
Dominiqua Cole What do you think about the globe in the bathroom that keeps you occupied while you... well, you know? lol 😂
the only "LUXURY" part is the price.
“Private balcony”
But its placed next to another balcony so just a balcony
Derrick Du lmfao😂
lol
It is private in the way that it is not shared with someone else
💀
I'm a New Yorker and I am not impressed at all.. It's a simple apartments with large windows in a over-priced area of the midtown Manhattan
Imagine how cold and freezing you'd be sleeping next to a huge window like that in New York City in the winter lol..
I would rent it in a heartbeat. The views are breathtaking. A sense of quietness like meditation. Oh the stars at night must be lovely too. Priceless.
MonkGoneGamer Until you realize that you're basically just looking at New Jersey
And expensive furnishings and amenities 🙄
Captain Caveman Facts!
Is THAT an oven??!! It is smaller THAN a microwave......
Every time you make a payment the owner laughs at how easy it is to steal money.
Facts!
Jay the don !!! Exactly!!!...
That's wall street in a nutshell.
Even if I could afford this, I wouldn’t.
7,500 grand a month!!?? I feel ripped off just from watching this.Even if I did have the money this just wouldn't be worth it.You're literally just paying for the views. That's it!
may edwards especially when the average cost of a 1 bedroom apt in manhattan is around 3750/month and 2 br is around 6000. For $7500 id want at least 2 bedrooms 2 bathrooms with great views and amenities.
What views? If I live in the city I want views on central park for that price
moonbeeps yeah 7 grand won’t get you that, ask Tommy Hilfiger how much he paid for his apt with that view.
@@moonbeeps The penthouses/condos/apartments where central park is,are easily in the 20+million range. Its called "Billionaires row" for a reason.
Well if you are living in New York it’s always about renting a better apartment every year. If you make enough money I am sure it would be in your radar to stay in a place like that as well. It’s not just the views, it’s about the amenities, decent living space and an overall nice place to spend an enoutmous amount of your life. You can’t get a decent One bedroom apartment below 4000 in the city. I have been in the city for 4 years now but still trying to upgrade every year.
Did this "luxury apartment" really NOT have a dishwasher??
It does have, its covered in these layers
Am I the only one that thinks a dishwasher is kind of unnecessary?
@@redmacbeth5198 yes
@@redmacbeth5198 its necessary in a 7,5k apartment
red macbeth do you not eat food?
You lost me at "view of Jersey". No thanks.
Did he... just say... "massive kitchen"? Nice location (even with a Jersey view), but luxury??
So you're pretty much paying for the scenery and the location.
Well, you are paying for the location of every single apartment in NYC, the whole market is way overpriced
@@jacobshustle403 i agree. You can get a very nice loft upstate for $1800
That's what you're paying for in any modern day city
@@terrystickland1898 Only cities with strong zoning laws. If you go to a similarly sized city such as Houston it's much cheaper since they don't have zoning laws
@@zed625 That is part of it but not all of it. It's also demand and geographic size of the city. There is a lot of demand to live in Manhattan, which is under 23 square miles compared to Houston's 669 square miles. New York doesn't even have particularly rigorous zoning laws. It is plenty dense. Now, the entire Bay Area, on the other hand, DOES have restrictive zoning laws, which contributes to making it prohibitively expensive even far from the most desirable neighborhoods in San Francisco.
1 BEDROOM? *vomiting*
winning you mean
😂 I think if you were rich, single and commuting
The cheaply done galley kitchen makes me puke. A galley kitchen is what you have in the entry level ripoff studio apartment. Having it in a "luxury penthouse" is just laughable.
I would not stay in new york period
Jennifer Nicole What do you think about the globe in the bathroom that keeps you occupied while you... well, you know? lol
Bro no cap, you get SO MUCH MORE in a 2500 dollar apartment in Miami .... and on the beach. Im from new york but there is no way you can convince yourself that paying 7500 for a one bedroom is worth it lmfao you said "massive" kitchen and i deadass died lmaoooo
It's crazy how much your videos have improved within a year! Happy to be along for the ride. I love the "what ____ can get you in NYC" whether that be rent wise or a daily vlog showing your budget that month!
I love your apartment tours! The travel vlog is really good too but you could be a kickass real estate agent

This is the type of apartment I would get in NYC! Just need some good adsense months

Erik Conover absolutely agree, especially if you don’t have a 9-5 like most UA-camrs
MORE APARTMENT VIDEOS!
Hey @Erik, can't thank you enough for showing millions like me, how to live on your own terms. Personally, it serves as a boost for me to get up and cracking.
May you be blessed. Cheers!
I really love the sound echo in the rooms. Drives you crazy.
Those shots of the Intrepid brought back so many nice memories of performing there with my marching band. Great video!
More apartment tours!
It's a one-bedroom!! You can buy a 2-bedoorm (without such great views but with good city views) for less (maintenance plus mortgage) in a better neighborhood in NYC. This place is for someone like a professional NBA player who just got traded to the Knicks and wants to crash in a rental before he buys his penthouse or some executive who needs to situate herself for a year before buying that loft.
Just found your channel and I love it !
That's amazing! Thank you for making this video! 🙏
dopppee!! here before 2M!!!
❤️
Hi Erik,
I just wanted you to know that i'm watching your videos everyday from France!
I've been in NYC 3 times already, i saw the beautiful buildings out there and i always wanted to live there.
When i watch your videos I'm getting really motivated, because you make me dreaming :D
So just continue the content about NYC apartments, so more apartments tour !!!!
These vids give so much chills Erik
More of these please!
Wow $7500? Lmao no thanks. Less than 1000 sq feet? I’m dying!!! Hahaha y’all ... lmaooo noooooo
It’s because it’s New York, and the view + the commodities it has and the celebrities and athletes that live in the building.
I'm like this is some straight foolishness, but I'mma watch to know that not to strive for in life, lol
@@4Paczjkor lol celebrities and athletes that make good money don't stay in 850 sq ft apartments.its too small
Aaron Gordon I live in this building and there are no celebrities here. Mainly just Wall Street people and some big law people
Even in Switzerland, you can get a 10 room mansion for 7.5k
Really?
@@ih8u295
Yep, I'm from Switzerland. It depends on the area of course but big houses mostly vary from 4-6k per month for rent.
I’m from Switzerland, that no, not really
True. The apartment looks ashy af.. They build very outdated and low quality compared to apartments in switzerland. Its realy ashy....
Long time fan of you man
I like how you combined your love for architecture with your vloging skills
All love from sudan bro
Btw im an architect

More apartment tours! Love these videos. 😃
""The Heart of the apartment. A massive open floor plan" bruh its 870sqft total. That's the WHOLE apartment.
That globe will be nasty. Everyone is going to spin it when they are on the toilet
Everyone? Its a 1 bed 75sqm place. You mean your 2 guests?
You could always find the places in the world where you've taken a dunk
Would definitely have to disinfect that thing a few times a week.
You're literally exposing your bare ass to a toilet seat for at least 10 minutes and you are worried about touching a globe with fingers you would wash with soap afterwards? uhm okay
Keep going man i love this videos this is the only way we can see Nyc
Great video man ! More apartment tours 👌
This is a classic case of paying for the view & location not so much the interior space and design. $7,500 for a place like that seems a little high in terms of the interior design but still a great location and the views are worth it including the facilities which makes up everything.
7500 for a 850 square foot box when you can purchase a 6000 square foot 6 bedroom luxury home an hour outside nyc. Nyc rent is a scam
You are so right.
Just sold my house “1 hour” from the city, except it took 2 hours to commute each way down to Wall Street. I’m now in a 800 + sf 1BR with a 17 foot terrace, 24 hour doorman, laundry facilities and a dishwasher in my kitchen. Oak floors, stainless steel appliances, quartz counter tops, with central heating and air for over $4K less..in Manhattan. My commute is now 20 minutes each way and now have time to hit the gym and have dinner before 9PM. That rent is insane and most people wouldn’t waste their money on it.
I don't think it's a scam. More like suply and demand. Sory for bad english.
nah man, it's how the market works
Thanks Erik.
More Apartment Tours !!!

This one is quite humble

That’s basically a dorm room. It blows my mind someone would pay $7500/mo for that.
Love the apartment videos more of them please
I love those apartment tours 🙌🏼
That much will get you an honest actual mansion in most of the country with money left over for a sweet car.
The couch is blocking a great deal of the view.
Great video keep it up
More of these, thank you🙏🏻
" There is a sucker born ever minute"
great job Erik
More Apartment tours!!! 😍❤
ok so what im noticing is that new yorkers tend to price their apartments more depending on what you see out the window. Well, consider this; you're in NY, you're gonna see NY regardless of where you are. Also depending on your job, you will either leave home early in the morning before sun rise , and get home late at night, so you wont get to enjoy the view at all.
And $7.5K for 1 bedroom and 1 balcony is a joke.
It's the Corporate slave mentality. Live to work and pretend you obtain through materialistic items instead of work to live and actually enjoy anything.
Erik on Million Dollar Listing New York Season 8???
More apartment tours for sure !
Looks super cozy
I’m sorry but if I had enough to rent a 7500 apartment (that I will never own) I would never rent this out, I would invest my money on getting a house in Queens, Brooklyn, or even the Bronx that will one day ACTUALLY BE MINE
Cielo Quirico word you can own a house with $7,500 a month. Pretty sad how it’s only a 1 bedroom too.
Cielo Quirico What do you think about the globe in the bathroom that keeps you occupied while you... well, you know? lol 😂
Take a shot every time he says massive
Lily Hegens What do you think about the globe in the bathroom that keeps you occupied while you... well, you know? lol 😂
Erik has changed a lot. Sounds very fake now.
I think he is trying to become a real estate broker. You need to be fake to succeed in that field.
Do more tours bro! Nice work!
wow, this channel grew really fast. I subscribed to it when it was under 5000, not long ago
More apartment tours
Love it!
MORE APARTMENT TOURS :-D
Also, please make some videos for two bedroom budget apartments in downtown NYC
The apartment is nice but it's good for buying not renting. What kind of idiot would RENT for almost 8k dollars a month. That's as pointless as it gets.
broadcast3ful because it’s probably around $4 million to buy...
This is not massive, but it’s very nice. Sadly this is a good space for Manhattan standards, but NYC apartment rentals are ridiculously high.
Great video!!!...Who else wanted to finish watching the cats fighting/playing on tv
More apartment tours with great views!
Actually not that bad of a value, plenty of doctors, lawyers, bankers and other professionals that make $300k+ to afford this. Though this apartment would be $3,000/month in Chicago which is a much better value.
TweFoji cause in nyc any penthouse is like at least $4 million
TweFoji also, monthly fees for amenities and property tax is ridiculous, sometimes can cost as much as the principle mortgage. For a 7500 budget you would really be looking at a 4-5k mortgage so that you could afford all the other taxes/costs/fees. 4-5k a month isnt even a million dollar apartment, which is well under the average price for a 1 br in manhattan. If you rent, usually everything is included except for utilities.
I'm a doctor. Most of us don't make that kind of money anymore. Now it goes to insurance companies and pharma.
not worth it anyway...
Questinia1 that’s not true at all...
$90000 per year is a lot!
Parker Sorenson For income it’s not, but for rent it is.
@@lucasjohnstone101 What was the purpose of your comment? showing "90k a years not much for me"? Because it was completely obvious he meant rent, since it's the rent of the apartment
Lucas Johnstone I’m sure he means rent...
I make 50k a year and I have to uber on the side to hit this. No college degree. I would literally have to sell my booty and spend a year's salary to even imagine living there. 90k a year is an income level I hope to hit some day. PS.. booty not currently for sale
That's outrageous
Yes more apartments tour Erik
When you’re watching this video, and looking at how “massive” the kitchen is, but you live in Atlanta, and $7,500 a month will rent out an 8 bed, 7 bath mansion, in a gated community with a pool and elevator
Dude, I got 5 bedrooms and 3 bath for a whopping $325 a month outside Atl.
More apartment tour pleaseee!

Lovely channel You got!
Travel recommendation: This winter go to Estonia (Christmas market in Tallinn, and winter-y forests everywhere else:) )
Things I don't get. For 7500, and not even a full size oven? Floor to ceiling windows and no drapes? You know there's someone with a telescope out there, right? LOL I think, for me, NY and SF are cities I'll visit but can't see myself living in. I love the bustle of the city to visit, but I need my quiet, solitude and privacy in my home and in my backyard. Some people are city people, some country people, I'm more of a burbs person. LOL Close to the action but outside it for calm and quiet.
Its stunning but wow its sooooo over what normal people can get give me the suburbs anytme close enough to visit dar enough over crazy prized and peace xx
I think you can have privacy in the city. Just get you some drapes. 😁
It looked like there were pull down shades, which would make sense in a small space like that. I think it would be a nice place to stay in for a bit, but not at that price. That's crazy to me.
That oven wtf
Agreed. I wish I could find a nice quiet place where you can have a house with a pool and woods and parks nearby but only an hour away there is a big bustling city like NYC that I can visit whenever I want XD
Anytime I see something like this I literally think to myself how many trips can I take with 7500 bucks??? You dont experience life in some fancy apartment you experience it by doing things and seeing things not from a 50th story penthouse. Ill never spend that much on something like that. Give me experiences all day!
Dude people who can afford a 7500$/month can afford a shit ton of trips lol
you're not in the market for the apartment of course it seems unreasonable to spend that much money on it... there are people who make more than 10k a minute lol. And they can afford trips.. in fact they're probably paid to take trips. It's an unfair world we live in
Don't worry, it's not a penthouse. If it were, you wouldn't see the decks from the units above.
Music What makes this unreasonable or hard to justify is the fact that this apartment is NOT worth 7500k a month. I don’t care if I’m making 200k a year or not. This comes out to 90k a year to live in a place like this. That’s absolutely burning money. You can buy a 3-4 bedroom house for ~120k in most suburban neighborhoods. BUY. It’s an absolute joke that anyone would be stupid enough to burn this kind of money for such a shitty little apartment. You can live in absolute luxury for the same amount. This apartment is far from luxury, and some real estate owner is shitting all over these gullible people who give in to places like this.
There is this thing called clout, and this apartment offers it. Lawyers, for example need to drive a BMW as a status symbol, regardless of their success. In the same way, a Banking Investor in Manhattan that makes $500,000 per year cannot say, "I live in a small studio in Brooklyn so I can have extra money to travel."
Enjoying view, having coffee, good bed for sleeping ,free sunlight =luxury apartment.
Those Amenities just made it super reasonable for this apartment. Living in the city with all of that is a score!
This may blow your mind but 7500 per month is not a luxury apartment
Defenitly more but maybe something that more people can afford
Now that's living I can get used to!! Who's with me?
