Seriously a life saver ... twice now because I use hole saws so infrequently and forgot how I did this the first time. Each time I think "this isn't going to come off easily" and it actually does. Thanks so much!
Honestly, I thought “Naw that can’t be that easy.” I used my impact driver and Woohoo! It worked! After an arbor had been stuck for years, it was finally off the hole saw. Thank you, thank you!
Thanks man! I was fighting with one of my hole saws the other night while working on our new house build. Thought I was going to hurt myself with a screwdriver and a wrench. Put my impact on it this morning and it came apart like butter. Thank god for UA-cam!
Dude I LOVE U! And the impact drill. Over hear crying after spending last 30 minutes cussing and screaming over this thing not coming off. Thanksnfornthe life hack!
You, Sir, are my Hero today!! I have tried so many different ways to remove that darn Arbor and it wasn't happening. This method finally worked! Thank you so much!! 🙂
I just used the hammer method and it worked great... then your video autoplayed right after the hammer solution. If next time the hammer doesn't work I will try yours.
Love this video because I needed the info and I think I heard you say “flustrating” at the beginning & this is my new favorite word - flustered + frustrating. Dope!
I have been struggling with this stupid thing for a year. Finally throwing it down in frustration every time. And then your video.... worked like a charm. Maybe a little more resistance than yours. And now I know. Thanks!
Great idea as a electrician with more then 30 years experience I use hole saws sometimes and have that exact problem. I also have a cordless impact so I will have to try it next time that comes up.
I watched some other video and the guy had me doing cutting into a piece of metal in all of this other crap that he wanted me to try. As soon as you busted out the impact a lightbulb went on. Thank you.
YOU ARE THE MAN!!! We twisted, pulled, hit with a hammer … no way was the arbor gonna come off … until we saw your video. BOOM!! We used the socket and it was apart. Thanks so much!!!
Count me among the converted! I tried the hammer method and got nowhere. I tried the unsafe method where I inserted a screwdriver into the hole saw side holes and tried to run my drill in reverse. All that did was bend the screwdriver and deform the holes in the saw bit. Finally got an impact hammer and it came off in literally 3 seconds, just holding it still with some gloves. Thanks for sharing and demonstrating!
I was working on my first slab door yesterday and cut the door knob hole. I could not get the hole saw off so I could use the 1" saw for the latch whole and I was so disappointed. I am challenging myself on home fixit stuff as I am gaining more interest in doing things right and using new tools. But this got me down. I am so glad to know others out there are experiencing this issue. I have not tried this but I will. Good video and thanks!
Yes, thank you! After trying several methods unsuccessfully, I'm glad I stumbled upon this. I used a little WD-40 as well and it ended up coming off. Phew.
I don't know if it's a better way or not but since I don't have an impact driver I used my adjustable strap wrench (oil filter wrench) around the hole saw and a crescent wrench on the mandrel. Mine was stuck on pretty good and it came off no problemo. Thanks for the video!
Thanks for the video, watched this in a time of need and you came through with the trick that was needed! I don't have an electric impact so I'll add that the manual impact driver that you hit with a hammer will also work.
Excellent video, thank you! One thing that helped a bit in my sitch was sticking the stuck mandrel and arbour in the freezer for about 10 min. to help dissipate the heat. Thanks again.
Ty! 🙏 im a 135lbs female contractor. The hammer method did not work for me. I used a 12” spade bit to hold the 3 1/2” hole saw in place while using the impact (cuz my little hands can’t grip that hole saw like that!) came off like a greased wheel. Amazing!!!
omgish thank you so so much. I was so scared I couldn't get it off cause I borrowed it from my neighbor. life saver. I watch lots of videos on how to get that f*** off, yours was that when I felt comfortable with and worked thanks for sharing
I have the worst of those Milwaukee Hole Dozer Kits. It is the 49-22-4009- 9 Bi Metal piece Hole Dozer kit. I had to use the adapter pieces on the 2 1/2" Hole Dozer blade. After use, was fully froze up on the 3/8" arbor and the insertion nut and washer flange part also. Had to set my Milwaukee Fuel Gen 3 - 1/4" Impact Driver on full impact setting. Took a craftsman 11/32-1/4" female insertion socket to be tight enough on the 3/8" arbor head. Had too break and remove the 3/8" arbor first. Then second part of removal, it took a Craftsman 19MM- 3/8"- female insertion socket on the screw in nut. Both had to be removed in a reverse mode. I had my three Milwaukee 1/4" Drive, one with a 1/2"" male Square socket/ a 3/8" male Square socket and 1/4" male Square socket. Glad I had bought them. Fitted my Craftsman sockets just fine. Glad I will not need to use these blades very often.
The idea works, but I did it differently because the way you are doing it seems like a good way to cut your hand off. I camped the hole saw to a wood pallet such that the biting part of the clamp was on the interior diameter of the hole saw, and used a ratchet instead of a power tool. It took a good pull on it, but it came off. I tried with wrenches first, then looked up a guy suggesting the hammer. Neither of those worked for my 4.5" hole saw. I actually tried the hammer method 3 times, and the final time I was hitting it very hard. Ratcheting it off works very well.
I considered that solution but was worried I'd break the arbor or tweaking my wrist trying to hole the saw. Will try it now though. Thanks for the tip.
Seriously a life saver ... twice now because I use hole saws so infrequently and forgot how I did this the first time. Each time I think "this isn't going to come off easily" and it actually does. Thanks so much!
I'm just glad someone else has the same story that I have.
Honestly, I thought “Naw that can’t be that easy.” I used my impact driver and Woohoo! It worked! After an arbor had been stuck for years, it was finally off the hole saw. Thank you, thank you!
Your not alone, I thought the same thing.
OMG me too!!!! So freaking happy 👍🤩
That’s exactly what we said ..,
You LEGEND! Thank you man. What a struggle that was!!
Struggled with one for an hour today before I saw your video. Your method solved that frustrating problem in less than five seconds. Thanks!
Thanks! Messed around for 40 minutes before looking it up.
Thanks man! I was fighting with one of my hole saws the other night while working on our new house build. Thought I was going to hurt myself with a screwdriver and a wrench. Put my impact on it this morning and it came apart like butter. Thank god for UA-cam!
When it came apart the first time with the impact I thought something had broke (because how easy). Appreciate the comment.
Unbelievable! This worked first time. I've tried grips, spanners, swearing and evil looks. Nothing would budge it. Thank you very much. Brilliant.
You rock. Instantly freed stuck arbor so that I could change the holesaw
Dude I LOVE U! And the impact drill. Over hear crying after spending last 30 minutes cussing and screaming over this thing not coming off. Thanksnfornthe life hack!
Thanks. Your solution saved me from a lot of touble.
worked like a charm. didn't think it would, but I thought what do I have to lose. thanks this was awesome.
This is the first comment I've left on a video in a very long time. Thanks for making this. It saved me a lot

You, Sir, are my Hero today!! I have tried so many different ways to remove that darn Arbor and it wasn't happening. This method finally worked! Thank you so much!! 🙂

my second time needing this reminder!! saved me loads of frustration and possible bodily harm. 😂
i forget stuff to
I just used the hammer method and it worked great... then your video autoplayed right after the hammer solution. If next time the hammer doesn't work I will try yours.
Fantastic!! I tried all the other tips and was sure this wouldn't work either. It came off in seconds. You made my day!
Thank You Sir
What a guy! Thanks for sharing - took 2 seconds to remove!
This was the fix! Tried the hammer technique to no avail, this one worked in 2 seconds. Thanks!
Thanks! I have a stuck Milwaukee on a craftsman arbor. Heading for the driveway!
Love this video because I needed the info and I think I heard you say “flustrating” at the beginning & this is my new favorite word - flustered + frustrating.
Dope!

worked perfectly, watched a few other videos that didn't work for me. thanks
It comes off so easy you wonder how you couldn’t get it lose before.😀😀😀
thanks brother. too easy. saved me a lot of frustration.
Niice was struggling for half an hour then find your video, that did the trick first try
Honestly, I didn't think this would work, but I tried it anyway. Amazing! It worked so easy and quickly. Thank you!
Thanks! That was so much easier than the trial and error method.
Worked like a charm, and so easy to do. Thank you!!!
Dude, that seriously worked in 2 seconds. I was trying everything! Thanks!
I watched some other video and the guy had me doing cutting into a piece of metal in all of this other crap that he wanted me to try. As soon as you busted out the impact a lightbulb went on. Thank you.
Impact worked like a charm. Thank you for sharing.
This worked for me, it was effortless.
Thank you
Straight saved me so much trouble thank you
That’s awesome.
Worked like a charm. Thanks a million.
Thank you thank you thank you! I've been fighting with one for a few days, and this worked in a few seconds
Thank you! Worked! Don’t know why I didn’t think of that.
YOU ARE THE MAN!!! We twisted, pulled, hit with a hammer … no way was the arbor gonna come off … until we saw your video. BOOM!! We used the socket and it was apart. Thanks so much!!!
Excellent!
Worked for me, sir! I was trying to remove the hex nut on the inside to no avail. Thank you!
Thank you! My hole saw locked up the same way, and your video fixed my problem. Thanks again!
Great, glad it worked
Tried many ways but this worked. Thanks.
Thanks!!!!! Worked fine for me with my Ryobi Impact driver. Been working on it 30 minutes, but the driver took it off in 5 seconds!
Nice
Worked like a champ. Great solution
I've tried everything. I'll try this tomorrow. Great video. Thanks
You are a genius! Had struggled with various tools for an hour...went for the impact driver...BOOM, done!! Thanks man!!
Boom, appreciate the comment.
Worked like a charm!!! Thank you!
This seriously just saved me so much frustration. You, sir, are a legend!
Glad to hear it!
Excellent advice. Worked the first time. I was about to give up on the hole saw.
Nice

Thanks bro. Saved my day.
I just spent 20 minutes with monkey wrenches and a hammer still could not get it off the arbor. This is very helpful!
Been there, glad it helped.
You are a legend! Thank you for such an easy solution to such a tricky problem!
Appreciate the comment
Thank you! I just tried that on my stuck hole saw and it worked in two seconds flat.
THANK YOU SO MUCH. Don’t watch any other video!! Worked perfectly

Take a bow. Absolute legend. Was about to go and buy a new set half way through installing a door handle in a new door!
Okay, I’ve never bowed before though 😀
Dude thank you… just thank you. I was struggling for a while, I was annoyed with how quick this did the trick.
Nice, glad it worked.
Worked brilliantly, saved me loads of time. Thanks for sharing.

Worked the first time! Woo Hoo! Thanks Brotha!
Thank you so much. Fixed two arbor’s immediately!
Awesome
Worked perfectly. Thanks boss.
Yes, thank you! After trying several methods unsuccessfully, I'm glad I stumbled upon this. I used a little WD-40 as well and it ended up coming off. Phew.
Amazing, worked like "butter" as you said. I was going mad for a little bit trying to pull it out, but glad I found your video. Thank you!
Trust me, I went mad before I figured this out.
I know it's a bit late, but you're right on the money with your tip. Thanks 👍
This is a timeless method, thanks for the comment
Genius! I’ve been working all morning to unstick a 6” hole saw. This worked in seconds.
Awesome. Glad it worked.
I don't know if it's a better way or not but since I don't have an impact driver I used my adjustable strap wrench (oil filter wrench) around the hole saw and a crescent wrench on the mandrel. Mine was stuck on pretty good and it came off no problemo. Thanks for the video!
Worked like a charm. Thanks..
This worked fantastic. Thank you!
Thank you! Great idea! My Ryobi arbor saw is stuck like a son of a gun. I’m going to try this!
Thanks for the video, watched this in a time of need and you came through with the trick that was needed! I don't have an electric impact so I'll add that the manual impact driver that you hit with a hammer will also work.
Should work
Wow, this is the best suggestion!
Excellent video, thank you! One thing that helped a bit in my sitch was sticking the stuck mandrel and arbour in the freezer for about 10 min. to help dissipate the heat. Thanks again.
Good Point

Glad it worked.
Thanks, it was the only method that worked for me!
Great to hear!
omgish thank you so so much. I was so scared I couldn't get it off cause I borrowed it from my neighbor. life saver. I watch lots of videos on how to get that f*** off, yours was that when I felt comfortable with and worked thanks for sharing

They can be pretty annoying.👍
a simple and very brilliant solution
Thanks
The idea works, but I did it differently because the way you are doing it seems like a good way to cut your hand off.

I considered that solution but was worried I'd break the arbor or tweaking my wrist trying to hole the saw. Will try it now though. Thanks for the tip.
There’s zero wrist twist with the impact
Wow, thank you so much!!
It freaking works best way i seen so far
That’s awesome. Thanks for the comment.
