For those who has super oily and Itchy scalp:
Shampoo alone won't solve your problem, no matter how good it is. You have to attack it from several different angles.
1 - Never use a shampoo that contains silicone ("Dimethicone" and anything ending with "Cone"), it will make your scalp oilier and itchy.
2 - SLS free shampoo WON'T break down your sebum well, so make sure you use a shampoo that has SLS in it if your scalp is super oily.
3 - Brush your scalp well BEFORE you wash your hair and then wash your brush well to get rid of the oil and dandruff / dust so it will be clean
for the next time you use it.
4 - take Vitamin D3 daily, at least 2000UI (I take 5000). They call it "vitamin" but it's actually a very important form of hormone that balances the body.
5 - take Zinc / B-complex supplement, rotate between the two (one pill of each, each day).
6 - Drink a lot of water and try to cut dairy products as much as you can. This is the hardest part for most people, but dairy products are causeing
hormone imbalance which drives the sebaceous glands to produce more oil. more oil leads to more dandruff which leads to more itch.
7 - What shampoo should you use? Well, It's very subjective, but as I've said make sure it's silicone free but still has SLS in it to break the oil well (again, aiming at
people with very oily scalps). Personally Nizoral 1% fixed my issue, I used it twice a week for 4 weeks, then once per 10 days just to make sure the scalp stays healthy.
I also cut out any kind of dairy products, it cleared my skin overall but my scalp is still oily, tho I'd say 30% less oily than before.
If you find it way too hard then cut Milk and hard cheese, these two are the most problematic. Try eating yogurt / soft cheese only but try to consume it less.

Gotta admit, this stuff works. Use the control shampoo from P&P and any conditioner - within a week or 2 your dandruff will be completely gone

I have had dermatisis/psoriasis issues like Aaron here, and agree Coal Tar helps. One other comment: consume anti-fungal items like MCT Oil or Oil of Oregano. Your body is going on a fungal overload when you have scaling/dandruff and you need to calm it on the inside and KILL IT. Oil of Oregano taken 3-4 capsules a day for a week can be pretty potent.

Unfortunately, my dandruff is from sorbrehic dermatitis and this product has oils which is a no no. I’m trying to find a daily shampoo because Nizoral should only be used 1-2 times a week😔
