All Fujifilm needs to do is maybe add a few video-centric tools and a little more firmware tweaks and it would be hard pressed to consider any other camera for several years. The sensor output appears to render a very “filmic” quality. It has character that others lack…

Would really like to see you do a review of a Nikon camera ever since they’ve been revamping their brand. this was insane timing, I watched all your video last night, and a lot of A74 and x-h2s video, I found that the X-h2s on paper was incredible but there isnt a lot of cinematic showcases with the camera so it was hard to judge how it would compare to a A7iv and others, the thing that puts me off about the a7IV is the rolling shutter and no 4k@120p . Im a buy one of these 2 cameraes and Im now leaning towards X-h2s. Also I have the sigma 18-35mm f1.8 which I think will be a really good match with this. But when everything is said and done I do realize also its not 100% about the camera, its how you use it which really matters and you are very talanted! keep posting those videos 💙
Damn, Thanks bro! I been testing the XH2S on real projects recently and its really not what i was expecting! its soo good! the IBIS and Autofocus are the only things that are a bit challenging comparing to the sony cameras. but the Internal ProRes , external BRAW , OpenGate 6.2K, 4K 120, all these options are really hard to find in any other camera under 5000$! and its only 2200$!
@@ermiaramez976I agree the AF is a con for me but I whish to move to anamorphic lenses so manual focusing is something I must figure out anyways and the open gate will be handy for this as more squeeze closer to 2x is very nice. the lack of gyro data recording which the A7cII/a74 is also something I wish it had as you could use gyroflow plugin for davinci to reduce jitter if needed, the ibis I dont usually like as it often warps too much would wish more cameras didnt have ibis or a mechanical lock out at least😅 (drone guy). Also saw this stacked sensor of fuji had really good results in the latitude test of cined and also the rolling shutter gets even lower in 120p 3.9ms. Cool stuff!
@@AL3XFPV the rolling shutter performance is not even comparable with A7IV's. its 10times better, and if autofocus and ibis doesnt matter that much to you, I think XH2S has a lot to offer to you.
Finally someone is showing the world how powerful the XH2s really is. A REALLY underrated camera. I’ve heard some people say it’s too expensive for just an APSC camera, and I always counter that it’s WAY underpriced for what it offers making it an insane value.
I had XH2s and sold it. It was a great camera and I’ll probably buy it again down the road. In the right hand such as you who understood its capabilities and limitations, the results can be amazing.
I’ve been pushing this camera for almost two years now. I don’t own it but did have an X-T3. It’s stats are impressive. It’s dynamic range is about 13 (actual usable) and that beats out OG Komodo and most Sonys in the prosumer sector. ProRes internal. The sims. Just be sure to turn NR all the way down/off so you don’t get muddy shadows, and then apply the NR to final grade at the end. Baked in NR is one of the things that separates a good cam from a bad cam in terms of IQ.
Ermia! Wow! Great production design, cinematography, story, beautiful, talented models, and hypnotic music... I think it's much more you than the camera, though you made a strong case for it, too. Hope you get the career this shows you deserve!
I think the Fuji XH2s is the best Aps-C ever made, but it is really expensive, compare to other options with the same price point. But, if it was just under $1900 US, it would be the best option and best cinema hybrid camera on the market. I like the lens option for this brand as well.
@@ermiaramez976 I agree! But its price, is about $2500. So, the same price range of the BMPCC 6K FF, the Sony A7IV, and the Canon Eos R6 mark2, all fullframe and potent cameras at a low price of $2500. In the fullframe category, between these 3 cameras I'v mentioned, I would obviously take the Canon eos r6 mark II, for "Best Overwhole Performance and Specs". But when you have an Aps-C Camera competing in sane the price category, like the Fuji XH2s, in terms of all obvious benefits that come with fullframe, it's more logical and coherent to take the fullframe one over the Aps-C. Even this Aps-C offers clearly more Specs than some of them. But it's not all about Specs, but firstly, the most important ones: "performance, practicality and price and advantages". For what is this, an Aps-C, not even a Cinema Camera (like: Red Komodo S35 or Canon C70 or BMPCC 6K Pro), it makes more sense if this camera would compete naturally with his pairs Aps-C cameras in this Category of "Aps-C Top-Line Market", like the Sony A6700 and the Sony Fx30 that offer the same Specs and Performances for a very low price. So, when you compare the Fuji XH2s with these Sony ones mentioned before, it does not make any sense to buy this Fuji one. And also, when you compare the Fuji XH2s with Sony A7IV, BMPCC 6k FF and The Canon Eos R6 II, all fullframe cameras, it does not make any sense either buy the Fuji XH2s over those fullframe ones. In conclusion, even I recognize that the Fuji is an excellent Aps-C camera, but unfortunately it's very poorly positioned in the "segmented market", which unintentionally makes it "a worse buy decision" in the minds of its potential buyers, when comparing it and justifying their decision, despite being a really a great camera.

Wow, this was so much fun to watch. So beautifully shot and atmosphereic and I loved how how the Fujifilm camera actually made appearances in the short film. This was really inspiring to watch. Your video clips were so smooth, did you a gymbal or try to fix camera shake in post, and if you fixed in post, what did you use? Because it's very impressive how smooth you've managed to make Fuji's gittery IBIS system.
Thanks a lot, bud! In most cases, I did not use a gimbal, and heavily relied on IBIS and Davinci Resolve's Stabilization, which I can say wasn't the best decision. I would get a lot smother shots with gimbal.
Thanks for the information! I was hoping Davinci Resolve could give good results for removing shaking and IBIS overcorrections. I am not a professional so I only am looking for reasons to NOT take a gimbal on hiking trips. Fixing in post will definitely be good enough for me, based on your shots here.@@ermiaramez976
Really nice work, well done! Some of the best footage I've seen on UA-cam with the great XH2s. People who really study cinematography tech will know that Fujifilm has been a serious contender in the cinema space since the X-T3. Even the XH1 had really good video capabilities. Fujifilm is also one of the few manufacturers that makes high-end cinema zoom lenses specifically for the X series cameras. Matthew Libatique, ASC shot a stunning short film for Fujifilm with the X-T3 called "A Different Beyond" that showcases the camera's cinematic quality in the right hands. So of course the XH2s is a top notch hybrid cinema camera in the right hands like yourself. Cheers!

@@ermiaramez976 First time I see your channel and I subscribed right after this video. Very well done, stunning visuals and very nice approach to reviewing gears 👍🏻 I’m sure the XH2s alone did not do all the magic in there! I agree about the VO, music needed to be lower for more clarity of what you are saying. I think that when we record our own voice, since we know what we are saying, when we listen to our own video we think the VO is very clear, it’s an easy trap to fall into! I’m very curious about your opinion of the XH2s for documentary work, do you think it fits for such a job? More run n gun approach?
@@MeilikPepper You're 100% right, I'll work a lot more on VO levels for the next video. In case of XH2S for documentary works, I think its definitely suitable but you have to use some sort of stabilizer and maybe even a focus puller, because the Autofocus and IBIS on these camera are the only downsides. Again, I'm coming from Sony which nailed those two features in their recent cameras, they're not that bad on Fuji but a bit behind Sony's.

All Fujifilm needs to do is maybe add a few video-centric tools and a little more firmware tweaks and it would be hard pressed to consider any other camera for several years.
The sensor output appears to render a very “filmic” quality. It has character that others lack…
Thanks for watching!
and can't be more agree with you on this...
WOW! Very impressive array of IQ. Along with a good visual eye for composition, beautiful edit with complimenting
soundtrack & flow. Bravo, mate!
Beautiful images. I purchased a XH2s last Fall and love it for both stills and videos. Very flexible hybrid camera. It made taking pictures fun again.
Facts!
I’ve watched this video so many times by now.. it’s just so pleasing to the eye, you’re very talented. Would really like to see you do a review of a Nikon camera ever since they’ve been revamping their brand. Ever since they purchased RED especially I think in the next year or two they’re going to make themselves a bold competitor to other brands
What an incredible video😳
Your video is a straight up movie
Keep on going, definitely gonna add you to my top creators of this year)
Such an incredible video... Completely blown away. WOW.
Thank you so much for watching!
this was insane timing, I watched all your video last night, and a lot of A74 and x-h2s video, I found that the X-h2s on paper was incredible but there isnt a lot of cinematic showcases with the camera so it was hard to judge how it would compare to a A7iv and others, the thing that puts me off about the a7IV is the rolling shutter and no 4k@120p .
Your work on this is phenomenal. Great job. And thanks for bringing the camera to my attention. Your eye is ridiculously good
Thanks a lot for the kind words, bud
You're a true star and I know you gonna glow on the top of the world ♥️♥️♥️♥️love you 👏👏👏👏👏👏
If Fujifilm hasn't reached out to him for their camera promos, that's bad marketing on their part. One of the best xh2s footages I've seen on youtube!
I had XH2s and sold it. It was a great camera and I’ll probably buy it again down the road. In the right hand such as you who understood its capabilities and limitations, the results can be amazing.
100% agree
Wow, that is definitely among the most impressive camera reviews I’ve seen so far! Would love to see you do a similar video with the Lumix S5II :)
Thanks a lot, man!
I would love to test that camera!
I can’t imagine the amount of work just to showcase a product. This channel plays in a different UA-cam league and you deserve 1M followers!
that really means a lot, thanks bud
3:05 making her close her eyes instead of opening them to then reverse the clip to make it seem like she was in normal motion was genius.
haha thanks a lot man! it's one my favs too
You are an extremely talented person who's an inspiration to those of us who love this craft. Your content is greatly appreciated!
My god you are a genius brother. Goosebumps extravaganza. Didn't know this could be done with a Fuji.
wow, thank you bro!
You can. You can also do it with your mobile phone. It's about composition, and light.
I'm just speechless. This video just looks amazing in par with best shot videos ever if not above it
THIS WAS MOTIVATING AF.
Thank man
Man, your shots, story telling, love it! Cheers
Thank you so much, bro
My man, you got better cinematography in this video than most modern movies have. Well done, you def got talent
Phenomenal work🔥 (Sidenote tell your model Sophie Turner wants her face back for her next film😂)
lol just told her that!
thanks for watching, man
I’ve been pushing this camera for almost two years now.
I realy like you camera angles, movement, grading and sound design. Some frames looks like Netflix show.
so glad to hear that, thank you!
Ermia!
I agree! But I think their price right now is not that very high by considering all the capabilities.
@@ermiaramez976
I agree!

Mannnn! This is awesome! Love everything in this video. Great content. Thanks for sharing! 🙌
My guy said “cheap” talking about $2500 camera
Any cinema standard camera would cost you almost $50,000 to $70,000.
In the mirrorless world, it's still in the mid-range category 😅
A Red Komodo will cost you around €5000, and this is considered pretty cheap as "cinema cameras" go.
@@dsr4209 "less expensive" and "cheap" are different things
"inexpensive" is the word...
Ok, that was huge! I believe you convinced everyone who hits the play button here.
Absolute Cinema.
Now, let me buy my Fuji now.
I've just bought one 2 weeks ago using a Sony fx3 and fx6 and all I want to use is the XH2s now. This little camera is a weapon I can't wait to shoot more with it ❤️🔥. Incredible work my friend. 🍻
Its really great!
thanks for watching, bud
30 seconds into the video and you instantly gained another subscriber!!! you are so good and inspiring, just wow!!!
Wow. Been watching your channel but this sticks out because you've made the Fuji HS2S look almost as good as the top cinema film cameras. So many youtubers convince us otherwise. I've got a soft spot for Fujifilm colours despite being a Canon and previously Nikon fan. I've been eying the HS2S for months because of the Size, DR, ecosystem, great hybrid features and off course Film Sims and because I bought my loved one and wanted to share the experience. You Sir just strengthened gave my resolve. SUBSCRIBED.
You absolutely sold this camera for me. Even though I just bought a Canon R6 II and mostly do wedding photo/video work this is definitely on my radar for a creative outlet or future purchase... INCREDIBLE Cinematography, beautiful work friend.
just get yourself an FX3 and don't even bother :)
whoa your work is insane! I'm 50 seconds into this and I'm blown away.
Yes, it's a great capable camera... but the "magic" here it's YOU! Amazing work, you are a great storyteller. Absolutely beautiful shots here, congratulations
This is an outstanding video. Very well done, sir. 👍
What an incredible video, the shots and colors you are pulling off with this camera are fantastic.
Your work is amazing! Cinematography, aesthetics, grading, all just perfect!
The XH2s is just the perfect tool for you! (I'm also an XH2s user, and I also think its one of the best cameras ever made!)
Thanks for watching, man!
Yes, I really love this camera
Amazing visuals, coloring and review! You made me fall in love with Fujifilm all over again! As someone who worked on many Fujifilm projects in the last few years! I agree the XH2s is one of the best cameras out there! Keep up the gorgeous work; you just gained a new subscriber! Your vision is Çok güzel 😁🎥
Glad I found your channel man your work is beyond incredible. Mind blown
Thanks a lot for watchig, bud
Glorious work. Just phenomenal. What you bring to this world is truly beautiful. Thank you!
Cheers!
wow, I didn't know anything about that film! just watched it and it looks amazing! 100% agree with you on this.
Dude ! there is a big gab in your cinematic skills since few months. good job !
This channel is my new obsession
fr
Stunning shoot man! Beautiful! I got this camera 3 weeks ago and love it. I don't know anything about these video specs yet 😂 but very inspired to learn! Keep making these wonderful videos! Great work!
Amazing work, I went back to watch your older videos and the footage here does look cleaner.
I think I’m leaning
@@ermiaramez976Teach us more plz 🙏😅 your tutorials will be amazing too.
Great overview of the camera, it's my main camera and love it! There's so no end to what you can do with it. Fantastic looking images!
Watching this video over and over finally convinced me to buy the X-H2S
I'm very impressed; you're the best at this! I decided to buy the X-H2S after watching your video. What are your white balance settings? What Kelvin values do you use for outdoor daytime, indoor settings, and evening/nighttime?
Nailed it with every shot.... Marvelous piece of work bro ❤
thanks a lot, man
@@ermiaramez976watching it again makes me wonder the amount of work you have put here… sensational ❤
Best hybrid camera made BY FAR, too many have slept on it. great video!
You are really good. Wow that is some amazing work you did there. I have the X H2s and use it primarily for photos and it turns out some fantastic stuff but wow I need to learn to do what you do.
So happy to hear that, thanks for watching bud
This video left me speechless. I'm following you since "The idea" and really LOVE the cinematic look you put into your videos. Congrats!!! If you want an improvement point, in this video your voice is difficult to listen due to the volume of it vs the music. Besides that, amazing! taking into account your skills, I would love to see some tutorials/lessons on how to achieve cinematic look with a normal camera (lighting, mood, movement...) Your videos on this topic left me wanting more!!! :) Congrats Ermia! Keep creating...
Bro, thank you so much for these kind words! I'm trying my best on voiceovers but its a bit tricky for me still...
In case of tutorials, I'll make a video about cinematic lighting and another one for color grading pretty pretty soon.
@@ermiaramez976
First time I see your channel and I subscribed right after this video. Very well done, stunning visuals and very nice approach to reviewing gears 👍🏻
I’m sure the XH2s alone did not do all the magic in there!
@@ermiaramez976 looking forward to watch it!!!
@@CiroPerez Stay tuned. bud!
Masterful, your whole production is breathtaking! Thank you for relighting my Fuji passion. Subscribed would be terrific to get a video of your color grade, is just perfect!
By the gods, I adore your editing and music usage style
mannn. been looking for a camera like this and did not know it existed!!!!!! thank you, it came up on my recommended so now i know what im buying
Like people are saying down in the comments: you elevate the quality of the footage with the way you do things. I bet you'd do great things with my Casio calculator as well. That's how good you are. Keep it up!
I only have XT-4 and I'm in love with it's colors and video performance. If I had XH2S I would probably be jumping through the roof with the happiness
Amazing job!! The present of video production is crazy. Two of these fuji, with a set of nightwalkers or similar, a basic rig and gimbal, a set of 3 nanomorphs, some fuji zoom with autofocus, some LED light (falcon eyes type), some aputure, a macbook pro M2, a small BenQ monitor with a basic color console, some levalier microphones and a boom with a basic recorder....and you have a full production company focused on content creation. The same one that in 2015 could have cost perhaps half a million dollars, for only 20 thousand dollars.
When the video ended, I thought to myself "Why did it end" love your framing
I focused your the content so much that I didn't realize you shot this in İstanbul. Amazing work.
fantastic video Ermia... great cinematography with excellent audio. Might've pushed me to buy this camera over another i was considering. cheers
Those images are amazing. Thank you for your inspiring work.
You my man need to make a video course where you show how you get your footage to look so great I would totally by your class!
Amazing work keep it up!!
Thanks
I bought a Xt3 in 2019 and have directed over 60 pro music videos for major labels since. Fuji is unmatched. I have worked with every cam out there.
Just watched some of your vids. looks great man
Absolutely incredible work my friend!

I have the XH2 (has worse rolling shutter but much better photo feature and I needed that as well) and it’s so great to work with it.
I was not ready for how epic this would be
