I owned this as a child, and your video brought me so many memories of it just rolling in circles, haha. I'm really happy you were able to get that. Enjoy it!
Your pause, pose, and look at the camera as you stood next to Voltron was the universal “HOOOOOO am I really about to buy this? Is this moment really happening?!” 😂
Voltron is the biggest and most nostalgic franchise for me today. As a kid when that theme song would air I'd run to the television and my heart would skip a beat! It is the king of all the 1980s cartoon/toylines for me personally. And with Transformers, GI Joe, He-Man MOTU etc., that's saying something! I even asked my mom to change my name to Keith when i was like 6 yo...lol
Back in 1995 my local mall had a Hills and the toy section had an entire aisle full of Toy Biz X-Men stuff. I had almost all of it. But when my buddies house burned down in 1996 I gave him my collection since he lost his.
So you know you might have a collecting problem when your kid says "you're getting that??? It's $300!!!" And your response is "...but it is on sale!" 😅 congrats!
That is nothing My most expensive Item was Transformers Masterforce Grand Maximus complete Boxed $800. As a single guy I spend thousands & Thousands on toys. 45 years old. I only have 5 grand in the bank. All my life savings went to toys. 2 and a half rooms full. I just got the lego Concorde for Xmas. & Working on the eiffle tower. I think .I rather have my toys then food. I only eat one meal a day really. They make me more happier in life.
I saw this Voltron once at Comic Con Manchester, but he was £400. I talked myself out of buying him and have regretted it for years, as I have not seen it anywhere since. I bet he looks amazing with the castle of lions. Awesome find🫡
That's an awesome find. I remember my dad buying me that motorized voltron on a summer fair, way back in the 80's. When it broke down I took out the bottom screws and removed the motorized platform. I always used him as a metroplex stand-in for my transformers. Thanks for the memories, I hope you find the sword that goes with him.
One of the things you found was that Toy Biz 90's Super Skrull figure. I actually have that figure in my collection loose. I am actually am collecting a few of the toy biz 90s marvel figure that I think are cool. Enjoy the video keep up the great work Pixel Dan.
"What are these". Atom is the third mask toyline spun off of the 80s mask toys! Yes, that mask! They made a cartoon also! Mask, vor-teck and atom are the three mask toylines! All three had cartoons also!
I had the Vehicle Force Voltron as a kid. I didn't even know it was related to Voltron, the cartoon I watched. What I did know is it was one of the coolest toys ever. It seemed HUGE to me back then. I think it had spring loaded fits, but I might be thinking of a different toy. But I do remember it had so many parts to form the giant robot. LOVED that thing. 😁
As far as Toybiz Marvel Superheroes go, you said you see Invisible woman everywhere, but do you have the other invisible woman with the Vanishing Color?
Its because of cool collectors like you Dan that allow me to live vicariously through all your awesome toy finds lol. That Voltron is an amazing piece, I want to own the original Lion, Vehicle, and Gladiator sets one day and I loved the XMEN pocket comics, I had them as a kid but my brother destroyed them like he did with my MIGHTY MAX sets. Congrats on the haul, and I love seeing the TOYBIZ Xmen toys still in stores.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and your family Dan! Thank you for all the GREAT videos over the years! I've been following you since the King Grayskull review, never missed an episode of the He-Man podcast (which I miss very much) and was also honored to have met you at PowerCon. I hope you have a great rest of the year and can't wait to see what you've got going on for next year! 😎👍
Just discovered your channel really loved this video your enthusiasm is amazing I’ve always tried to keep the inner child in me alive and seeing you and your mannerisms just makes me happy!! Also your wife is so amazing and supportive of your hobbit that’s incredible and rare to find cherish every moment
I one of those who can say I had that Voltron as a kid, sold it to a kid when I out grew it...I wish I still had it, but at least some kid got to enjoy it after I outgrew it
I have several Hot Wheels pieces. The USS Enterprise, The Millennium Falcon, an X Wing and 4 variants of the Bat Mobile. I keep them in the packet. They look great hanging on the wall.
I remember when you could buy Hot Wheels in stores. Back before Covid-19 hit. Now Scalpers empty shelves, clog eBay, and sell to 2nd hand stores. I've found maybe 20 new Hot Wheels cars over the last year and a half. Granted being disabled makes it extremely tough to get to these places before the scalpers run to the aisles. It's frustrating.
Well, it was on our pre-wedding trip in 2001 that I found the Voltron I begged my parents for in 1984. But that was only $20 at a Kay Bee that was going out of business!
I love everything about this video! Looking through Marvel Super Hero and early X-men cardbacks that I remember fairly clearly. My favorite Voltron that I used instead of the LJN one when I found him at a flea market (he was bigger!) and of course, The Hobbit playing in the background 😂
Watching this just reminded me that I have all my original x-men figures packed away in my garage. Im gonna have to go dig them out this weekend. I am pretty sure I have every figure and every vehicle opened and unopened. One of my buddies bought that Voltron at yard sale for 20 bucks, didnt work so he re did all the Electronics and put a RC engine, servo and was able to use a RC control on it.. Bad part is it went to fast and would topple over to easily.
Man. I had that giant Voltron as a kid. Also, the brown wolverine, the blue and yellow, and a black and gold one. Stumbled across the wolverine mutant cycle in a tub in my garage last month.
I collected all those 90s Toy Biz figures. While I didn't get every version of each character, the only character I never got was that Taskmaster figure
Hi Pixel Dan and Pixel family, that place in Missouri is very beautiful and the store you visited is excellent, thank you very much and congrats for the haul, happy holidays and blessings! 🙏
Glad you bought that Voltron! Happy New Year to you and your family! Hope you are coming back to JoeFest 2025? and I love it when you do the Arnold voice😆😆
Amazing journey this year on this channel! Loved every second, I genuinely look forward to it every Saturday! Glad you got that look from your wife that I always get, haha!
Hello I remember one that was diecast metal, that came apart and you can put it back into the tall Voltron Figure. It was from Japan and the toy store at the time was in California in the 1980's, I love the cartoon. Thank you for the video.
I just got on Ebay a complete GI Joe Rolling thunder vehicle excellent shape with box & blue prints complete for $400. Back at New york comic con 2018. I spent $300 on the Dino riders T rex. Came with instructions. Some of My toys I spend on are way more pricey. Haslab Unicron was $550. Eternia was $550. Toys make me more happier then people do. Yeah mainly what happened Right at new years too first day of the year when people do dumb stuff like driving into a parade & such. I can see where the world is going. I have big trust issues in people cause I was special needs & toys was only thing brought me joy in my life.
Just found you channel. Great video. We don´t collect the same toys but I like anyways. That Voltron must have been an awesome toy to get as a kid. I liked the Hot Wheels Christmas cars. Do you ever see any Hot Wheels Super Chromes from the 70s in any shops over there?
Funny coincidence, I'm not a Hot Wheels collector either, but that TMNT van got me started while out shopping, up to four already lol. The MOTU Land Shark they made turned out really nice. I can see why adults collect them, we can't all be Jay Leno lol. 25:26 So true, Superman is the ultimate anti-accessories character, he doesn't need any vehicles or gadgets.😄I think oxygen is the only thing he ever needed for long periods in outer space. When I saw the title my first thought was something small but pricey, but really by the pound that has a lot of value to it, 25% off so it was a bargain heh.
Would you have bought it?
I think that's a really cool piece, but Voltron isn't enough of my thing to want it myself.
Depends. How much do the sword and the shield (or the Ninja-star lookalike shield) cost loose?! But, have to admit...it's a great looking toy :)
No,I have disdain for wired rc toys.
I owned this as a child, and your video brought me so many memories of it just rolling in circles, haha. I'm really happy you were able to get that. Enjoy it!
maybe at a much lower price, if it was complete and not broke
Your pause, pose, and look at the camera as you stood next to Voltron was the universal “HOOOOOO am I really about to buy this? Is this moment really happening?!” 😂

Keep keeping it real Dan, love your pure inner child that shines in every one of these vids.
One of the best reviewers still to this day.

I go in saying that 450 is my budget but my wife and I both know that it'll end being around 600 every time 😆
@joshwescott9809 ain't that the way of it...
Thought for sure he was gonna grab that DeLorean. He went right over top for a cyclops bubble bath. 😂
I love it that your wife supports your hobby! She's awesome!!👍👍
Love that Voltron pick up it indeed has the shogun warriors feels to it 😀

I always celebrate Pixel Dan buying 'big ones'! Happy for you!
Wow brings back memories I had that Huge Voltron growing up, I remember it was almost tall as me back in the day, it was like chest height 😂
"What are these". Atom is the third mask toyline spun off of the 80s mask toys! Yes, that mask! They made a cartoon also! Mask, vor-teck and atom are the three mask toylines! All three had cartoons also!

@5:08 spining a toy in a display package being amazing, we know we're cooked 😢
As far as Toybiz Marvel Superheroes go, you said you see Invisible woman everywhere, but do you have the other invisible woman with the Vanishing Color?
I was born in ‘86, and Voltron was the first show I can remember watching
STL comics is my favorite toy store!
Awesome dudes run that place! So awesome to see you do a show on them! Thanks for representing STL!!!
I remember Santa gave me giant commander Voltron for Christmas, and I had allot of fun playing with it.
I had that Voltron as a child, and I loved it.

7:50 busy Holiday season got to Dan's editing. :(
He became Glitchy Dan for a second 👀
Great place to be! Awesome to see you around the area! Merry Christmas!
$300 ain't bad for that classic! Heck, there are Lego sets being released today that cost hundreds more than that.
Merry Christmas and happy New Year to you and your family Dan! Thank you for all the GREAT videos over the years! Epic vintage shop congrats on 1st anniversary of new ch Happy holidays dan👍🎅🎄
Whoa, thanks man!! Much appreciated!! 🙌🙌
Hey Dan! St. Charles son here. Loved that you enjoyed the town of my childhood! BTW...it's the Missouri River. ;)
I'm down in JeffCo. Pretty sure he was talking about Cuzn Sam's characters, not Dickens. LOL
That voltron and he-man hot wheel was awesome.
He-man hot wheels were awesome
So awesome to see some Voltron content! This was especially fun for me. Thanks, Dan!
I love the colours on that Voltron - congratulations on getting it! And Happy New Year!
What's funny is Invisible Woman was really tough to find when she came out and was going for crazy prices.
I never saw it anywhere.

Old Saint Charles is near the MISSOURI River dude ... Not the Mississippi
Invisible woman was a series 3 release with vanishing color action which was changed to the more common series 5 catapult power launcher

I had that Voltron toy when I was a kid. I have a picture of me playing with it somewhere. 😂 Great birthday
amazing piece!! Thanks for sharing

Dude i had that voltron in the 80s that thing was huge great memories with that toy and i left it at my grandmas place and magically disappeared damit
Your Trapper Keeper shirt is the best! So cool!!!👌
Love the new Channel and you should totally do a "HAUL of the YEAR" video seeing which toy was your favorite to pick up during the year
Spencer's reaction was priceless! Amazing video as always
That Voltron was a no brainer. Such a rad toy!
Love the video. Happy new year, Dan!
I got your book for Christmas. Its one of the coolest things I got this year!
Man. I had that giant Voltron as a kid. Also, the brown wolverine, the blue and yellow, and a black and gold one. Stumbled across the wolverine mutant cycle in a tub in my garage last month.
Man if only i keep the the toys i had in the 70's and 80's.
Love the clothespin play feature on the Voltron hands 😂 That reminds me of the much smaller "computer controlled" Voltron.
Is that the 70’s Hobbit cartoon going on in the background??? Awesome!
You cannot go wrong with Voltron. Congrats Dan. Thanks again for another fun video.
Awesome finds! I really love everything you put out on this channel I look forward to it every week. Thanks and keep it up!!
I collected all those 90s Toy Biz figures. While I didn't get every version of each character, the only character I never got was that Taskmaster figure

Great toys, happy new year to you and your family 😊
Awesome!
Great show love it
Micro playsets are great. My brother had one of those X-Men sets. He was full on the Mighty Max generation.
Back in 2003, I bought a Voltron toy with the sword. I threw it away when I moved in 2009.
Glad you bought that Voltron! Happy New Year to you and your family! Hope you are coming back to JoeFest 2025? and I love it when you do the Arnold voice😆😆
Great video, You can really feel the excitement for toys! 👍

Brilliant find Dan. Awesome upload. 🤖 👍
I do have to admit that's an awesome Voltron
That shirt is sweet its looks like a trapper keeper graphic to me, which is awesome.
Hello I remember one that was diecast metal, that came apart and you can put it back into the tall Voltron Figure. It was from Japan and the toy store at the time was in California in the 1980's, I love the cartoon. Thank you for the video.
There was a Marvel Gold Taskmaster?!?! I never knew!

Great video and pick-ups D. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the fam.
Voltron is Classic!
11:21 - that X-Men Blackbird Jet box is reasonably priced.
18:42 - if you didnt pick that up, I would!
Awesome 🍀🍺🎊
The Hobbit playing in the background, very cool!
I found that Ford Transit Supervan just a week or two ago! Had to have it!
Just found you channel. Great video. We don´t collect the same toys but I like anyways. That Voltron must have been an awesome toy to get as a kid.
I liked the Hot Wheels Christmas cars. Do you ever see any Hot Wheels Super Chromes from the 70s in any shops over there?
beautiful! 🎉🎉🎉
The Superman with the net reminded me of the scene in Superman when he threw his symbol from his chest.
Beat me to it!
That huge S shaped fruit roll-up
That was the most "basic" figure of the STAS line. and yeah, it's pretty likely the movie cellophane shield throw was what inspired it.
I still have that Voltron, the stickers are trashed on it, but it’s still works. I wish I could find the sword for it
Funny coincidence, I'm not a Hot Wheels collector either, but that TMNT van got me started while out shopping, up to four already lol. The MOTU Land Shark they made turned out really nice. I can see why adults collect them, we can't all be Jay Leno lol.

It's Saturday! Time to [hunt for] some toys!!
Awesome pickups
Cool voltron .hope you can get it working .maybe someone can 3d print sword for you..thanks sharing
That shirt is great!
