    I interviewed Doc for a Perth radio station right when Beyond Salvation came out and subsequently had a beer with the band after a show. They were all cool. Great guys. They told me they recorded every show and listened to it after the show, usually on their way to the next gig. As tight as they were live, they always worked to tighten it up, wherever they could. They were real pros. Legends.

    from 89 till 2000 and something. i've never missed an angels show. I didn't cry this much when my own mother died. and i've onle met and talked to Doc like 15 times.
    Now I',m hell bent on getting the angels and the divinyls music out to as many as i can get

      Well at least you 'only' talked to him 15 times mate.
      2 Minute Warning was my fave album for the longest time.
      After that, they moved too far to the mainstream, imo.

      @@ROOKTABULA Two Minute Warning, yes great LP. I love Between The Eyes and particularly Look The Other Way - but those two songs appear to have been long forgotten!

    Never heard of The Angels until 5 "Angels" tracks ago after hearing them playing on an Aussie internet radio show this afternoon. I've had a blast so far.. Fantastic stuff!

    It got me stuff how they never become as big as AC/DC is , in making millions of $$$ dollars was it bad Management or was it the Manager that took all the money because they where always broke … unless am wrong .

    • @arrowbflight5082
      @arrowbflight5082 6 років тому

      David R imho, timing. Highway To Hell was released in the U.S & Canada before Face To Face. Both got a lot of air play on the FM dial. Management ? can't say for certain. U.S recording industry. They didn't know a good thing when they saw it.

      The US music scene is rigged. They pick you and they control you after that . Most aussie bands were uncontrollable so never got picked up

      Lots of bad decisions. The band walked out on Alberts for a contract with Epic in 1980. Had they stayed with Alberts the band would have received a similar promotional push that AC/DC had previously received and would likely have become an international hit in their own right. But that's life, bad decisions can't be undone.
