The Small Box gets used a lot but not in all the videos. It cuts really well through the mix and it nails a lot of the tones from some of those songs. I use my Dual Rectifier a lot too, that amp definitely has that mid to late Skate Punk sound of the 90s. But yeah, I’m fortunate to own a few different amps to achieve different tones. Glad you like the videos and good luck on getting that BE Deluxe, I’m sure its killer. 👍🏼
Dominick Del Vecchio I don’t use any real mics on any of my covers. I use tube amps which are routed directly via a Suhr Reactive Load into my Audio Interface and into Logic Pro X. I use impulse responses or “guitar cabinets/mics emulators” to get the sound to come out of my amps. I have a video on how I do it which you can check out (Gear Spotlight - Suhr Reactive Load). I normally use a Marshall or Mesa 4x12 cab and a mix of a 57 and 421 virtual mics for most of my videos, however it all depends on the research I do of the band and what equipment they use, and how that particular album was recorded, etc. Hope it helps.
Michael Wright I believe I went over this on someone else’s comments. Basically everything cranked except for Bass and Gain which were set somewhat low, like 9 o’ clock or so. Hope that helps.
Thanks Nick. Sure I can share my EQ settings with you and no its not the same as ANH since the guitar tone in those two albums is completely different IMO. For this track I used the red channel (modern), silicone diodes, bold setting, Master 4, Presence 10, Bass 6, Middle 10, Treble 10, and Gain 4. Noise gate in logic and a light compressor as well. I plan to do isolated guitar tracks and gear tone related videos soon. Sorry, it's been a slow start up with the channel, but hang tight! lol
@@moverbob7409 what I disliked about post Dude Ranch Blink was the loss of Raynor. Never liked Travis, but he definitely helped the band gain more success.
Sounds awesome! I love Tom's signature Mesa sound on the earlier stuff.
Thanks Gabe. Yeah I've always loved Tom's guitar tone.
These are by far the best sounding blink covers
Thanks! That means a lot. Glad you are enjoying the content.

I'll see what I can do man.
what mics do you usually use for guitar tracking?

Such a great album! Triple or dual rec?
Dual Rec, late '92 Rev F.
Amp settings?
Michael Wright I believe I went over this on someone else’s comments. Basically everything cranked except for Bass and Gain which were set somewhat low, like 9 o’ clock or so. Hope that helps.
Are these the same amp settings as a new hope. If not could you lend me your eq lol
Also it’d be pretty cool to hear your guitar track

nick80411 cranked! 🔥🔥
Do you know what gear Tom used on this song?
No. Hard to know for sure, Jerry Finn had a lot of different gear in his studio when they recorded this album.
Dude that sounds amazing! Can I see the amp settings?
aharddaysnightmare hey man thank you. I think I posted my settings in the comments.
Do you have a studio?
vegjeezy17 nah, just a lil corner setup in my living room 😊
Can’t stand this album. Horrible lyrics. Pretty sure they wrote this album in two weeks. Toms voice was horrible after dude ranch.
Don’t agree with you, but to each his own. Having said that, I think Dude Ranch is their greatest album.
@@90sPunkRockCovers agreed. I feel dude ranch is perfect. But I’m biased about it I was 13 it was huge to me. Probably explains my thoughts on enema.

@@90sPunkRockCovers same. Scott’s style was way better. Love the videos wish I was better at guitar.
