I spray my No 5 original (only fragrance I wear) on my clothes; I never spray my skin with it. I learned this trick in my nursing field. I am a lambskin girl, so I appreciate your tips. The SA at my local boutique said that lambskin is far easier to remove scratches from than caviar, and that once calfskin is scratched, it can't be rubbed out the way lambskin can. I've read some horror stories of chemicals removing the color from the bag! Like you, I will never use chemicals.

Hi Dacob, l have a vintage small Chanel bag, given to me as a gift in the '90's. It looks like yours but it has 6 tiny studs on the flap. It is made of lambskin too. Do you know where l can sell my vintage bag? I used to wear it alot in the '90's when I'd go dancing because it was small enough to wear in the crossbody style and fitted my necessities. I worship the lambskin Chanel classic flap bags. They look far more luxurious than Caviar, and look so beautiful. I just wish they weren't so delicate and not as durable as Caviar leather. Super Dacob I will definitely agree that they are both durable, and they are certainly beautiful, something about the caviar texture just speaks volumes. I don't know about the reissues, something about the clasp and the distressed calfskin seems a little unattractive to me at least, but that's only one mans opinion, totally subjective view, that's fabulous if you love them! :)
I have a slg in Lambskin and the classic flap in Lambskin. It’s actually more durable than everyone states! I haven’t really babied it! The slg is more delicate than anything. Depends on the leather they used that year.

Beautiful care details, Dacob dear :) Thank goodness, the lambskin on bags this season have been made with thicker skin and with a more durable finish--it's very much like calfskin. However, it doesn't have the lustre and ultra luxe feel as the usual, more delicate feeling lambskin, which is softer, shinier, and can't help but pet it constantly ;) Why is it always a give and take? BTW, in regards to classic Mini's this season--they all seem to be made in France, both the 2 I got, as well as Maryam's. How crazy is that? Just really pleasantly surprised. Coco coco coco :)

Dear Irina, that is a great question. I don't keep my bags in the boxes because the boxes occupy too much space in my storage and I want to have my bags easily accessible, almost as the are in the boutique... all next to each other in their dust bags... I just add the extra bag layer to add more protection but I prefer to have my bags in an upright position and out of the boxes. If you have alot of space then in the box would also be a great option :) xoxo

A bit off topic but I've a couple of soft lambskin jackets too, and i guess this care advice will work for them too in terms to extending its longevity and prestine. Thank you so much dear :) Jackets have a diffrent way of being worn/used and leather on jackets needs to be more bendable especially on the elbow areas as well as shoulder areas... Jackets usually (not always) have thicker leather than labskin bags do... The fact that they have a bigger amount of material to deal with it becomes harder to protect them from scratches... I would say just do not wear them in the rain and store in a dry dark place... For jacket leather cleaning I would consult a professional leather dry cleaning company ;) xoxo

I would avoid bees wax for lambskin leather to be honest... and the jackets must be completely made in leather on the outside and not have just a few patches in eather and rest in other fabrics... otherwise there could be complications because of mixed fabrics... xoxo

Hi Christina :) I would never listen to other people when buying a CHANEL bag! You need to follow your heart! When you see the right CHANEL bag you can be sure your heart will skip a beat! And you will know that is the right bag for you :) In general I always say to make sure that the proportions are right with the bag and your body. The hight and width. You want a bag that can easily be protected by your body. You don't want a bag that exudes the sides of your body and hence can easily get bumped and scratched on the corners. If you wear a lot of dark clothes then I would consider not getting light leathers in order to avoid color transfer to the leather. A first CHANEL bag in my case should be the timeless black color bag. A WOC is a great beginner bag because it is between a small leather good and a bag and it is iconic but not as expensive as the other bags. If your budget permits it then I would go for a timeless classic in the size that suits you best. :) Good luck shopping for your first CHANEL dear! Exciting times ahead!!! I remember how super happy I was when I got my first CHANEL! Its a great time and you should celebrate it to make it extra special! A time to remember for sure :) xoxo

White is the trickiest leather to take care of since it literally absorbs dust and everything around it... You need to baby it very much and avoid sunlight like the plague cuz sunlight tends to speed up the yellowing process of the dyes in the leather... If there is a stain on the bag there is almost nothing you can do to remove it without altering the orignal state/treatment of the leather. With white bags I am afraid one needs to accept and love the fact that they show more signs of wear. Its liek a good pair of jeans that with time age on the body of the wearer and that adds more character to the jeans. Now I am not saying its impossible to keep a white lambskin bag clean but the only way to really keep them clean is to not use them and that defeats the purpose of having such a lovely bag ;) So I say enjoy it and let it breathe and live cuz you will look fabulous with your bag, exuding confidence while wearing a bag and not being afraid to show that you love it and that you are proud of its signs of wear :) xoxo

Don't forget that caviar is calfskin with a pressed form that looks like pebbles or caviar, hence the nickname "caviar". Dearest Rebecca! I am thrilled you decided to keep your beautiful lambskin! It is delicate but then again, a CHANEL bag is not a tank! We need to treat it delicately and with a lot of love so I think lambskin in that respect pays off so magically for so many reasons.. many reasons you heard me mention in my video... but you know, there really is something to be said of the misconception that caviar is more resistant than lambskin because it is not and all the small scratches in the lambskin that come along with age and wear are just to be seen as beautiful character marks that only your bag has and no other bag in the world! I would never stop loving my girlfriend or boyfriend if they were to get a scar somewhere on their bodies/faces... I would love them just the same and kiss the scars to show them how beautiful they always will be! :) xoxo
Thank you Anna! Unfortuantely when white leather is stained it stays stained. There is no way of cleaning it I am afraid.... at least not with just a microfiber cloth and without altering the chemical balance of the material...

Unfortunately not! If its scratched its scratched but to avoid scratches I literally put my hand on my bag whenever I am close to a counter or an edge or a tight passage or a door or other people that are too close to me...
Nope. They were gold plated but not solid gold. Gold is a relatively soft metal and would not keep its shape well under the use and presure as a lock and turnlock plus it would be extremly expensive since it would be a big chunk of gold.
OMG I finally got the Chanel Classic Flap Medium in the lambskin yesterday. I had the WOC in caviar but I so wanted a lambskin bag. I can't stop staring at it and I haven't yet used it however I am already seeing tiny scratches 😢 Thanks for the tip. xxxx

Actually those scratches will come use your fingers and rub some oild from your hair or skin make sure you dint wear makeup, and rub gently on the leather and it will desappear also u can buy from clarks leather restorer cream wich works magic!!!! i have two lambskin bags one of wich is 16 years old and has not even one scratch bcs all of them adre gone

Dearest Rebecca! I am thrilled you decided to keep your beautiful lambskin! It is delicate but then again, a CHANEL bag is not a tank! We need to treat it delicately and with a lot of love so I think lambskin in that respect pays off so magically for so many reasons.. many reasons you heard me mention in my video... but you know, there really is something to be said of the misconception that caviar is more resistant than lambskin because it is not and all the small scratches in the lambskin that come along with age and wear are just to be seen as beautiful character marks that only your bag has and no other bag in the world! I would never stop loving my girlfriend or boyfriend if they were to get a scar somewhere on their bodies/faces... I would love them just the same and kiss the scars to show them how beautiful they always will be! :) xoxo

Love the video. Any advise how to clean the white Lambskin? Mine has stains from daily use and starting to look bit dirty. 😓 mine is a wallet.
Thank you Anna! Unfortuantely when white leather is stained it stays stained. There is no way of cleaning it I am afraid.... at least not with just a microfiber cloth and without altering the chemical balance of the material...

Unfortunately not! If its scratched its scratched but to avoid scratches I literally put my hand on my bag whenever I am close to a counter or an edge or a tight passage or a door or other people that are too close to me...

Hi J. This is not a vintage bag. This is a seasonal extra mini flap from the fall/winter 2013 collection and I bought it at a CHANEL boutique.

No CHANEL bag has real gold hardware. They can be gold plated or gold tones but there are no CHANEL bags that were ever made with pure gold hardware.

Nope. They were gold plated but not solid gold. Gold is a relatively soft metal and would not keep its shape well under the use and presure as a lock and turnlock plus it would be extremly expensive since it would be a big chunk of gold.

OMG I finally got the Chanel Classic Flap Medium in the lambskin yesterday. I had the WOC in caviar but I so wanted a lambskin bag. I can't stop staring at it and I haven't yet used it however I am already seeing tiny scratches 😢 Thanks for the tip. xxxx

Actually those scratches will come use your fingers and rub some
oild from your hair or skin make sure you dint wear makeup, and rub gently on the leather and it will desappear also u can buy from
clarks leather restorer cream wich works magic!!!! i have two lambskin bags one of wich is 16 years old and has not even one scratch bcs all of them adre gone
