Hi everyone! So here's the cleaning video as many of you requested on my Dior reveal video! As a disclaimer I do not claim to be a professional and please please please do this at your own risk! I found this method through youtube and I'll like to the lovely girl's channel in the video below! I liked the method and this worked for me so for anyone out there who wanted to see how clean and buff out my bags here it is!
Please dont leave any hate/negativity in the comments below about how "i'm ruining my bags" because this is what I found works. Best thing is to send it to get professionally cleaned, but bth dont have the cashflow for that! haha

FYI Chanel recommends Cadillac cleaner/conditioner for care. They use it as well in the stores to buff out any scratches or small damage products may get.
June, you never cease to amaze me with how knowledgable you are with regard to so many topics relating to luxe products! I really learned a lot watching this video, I'm still terrified to clean my more delicate bags but I may give it a go in the near future 😬

Thanks for the tips! I recently purchased one of my first luxury handbags and it's lambskin too. I did so online so I was not given any specific care instructions one might get in the store and I was wondering what products I should use on the leather. (Makes sense one would care for this kind of leather the same one does for shoes but yeah - the bag was expensive as hell so I'm very cautious about cleaning! :P)

Thank so much for this video! Does the Cadillac cleaner leave any faint white residue on the lamb skin? I have used another leather conditioner on my fendi peekaboo (nappa leather) and it feels conditioning but once it’s dried, leaves a faint white residue (I have buffed it well). Thanks for any responses! ☺️

this is in singapore dollars btw, because i'm from singapore.
initally for all vachetta including the tie string was $1.2K
Without the tie string ($95) and all the vachetta was $1170
i only replaced the vachetta on the shoulder straps below, front closure and base it was $910. (SGD)
I just sent it off yesterday so i won't get it back until july, i hope this helps, this is for the GM size, so they may quote you differently :)

I used the Cadillac conditioner for my caviar Chanel classic and WOC and it worked very well.

Cadillac is the best the most reliable conditioner. It works on all leathers and it doesn't change color or damage any finish. I use it on my lambskin flap too.

I dont do that because I dont really use them that frequently. I maybe clean them 2-3x a year? :) xo

Please don’t beat me up but the best polish is one call saphir mirror gloss it will blow you away compared to the kiwi! It’s worth the money just do a UA-cam search!

is this technique suitable for Chanel flap? esp the clear kiwi polish will it be too rough for the lambskin quilted area to endure?
I used the kiwi polish on my chanel handbag and it was fine! If you are worried you can use a cotton rag instead to apply the polish :) xoxo
how do you clean the hardware on the bags?
like the charms, zipper, studs etc?
depends on the bag. Usually if its gold plated I just buff it out. There's not a lot you can do. If it's brass I'll clean it with brasso :) xo

the hardware seems too gold... I think its not so gold on the original, did you noticed? are u sure you have bought the original one?
