That galaxy blue color looked really good on the purse.
Lots of work went into making this purse look good. I feel though that the leather inside the chain should have been cleaned and painted as well. At the end, I could see the difference in the the two. The leather inside the chain was obviously not as bad as the purse was before it got painted but it is noticeable afterwards. Other than that, I will watch this video for when I repaint my black purse. Hopefully mine will come out looking this amazing.

You can remove the CC part of the lock, it'll make it much easier to clean and then paint that area of the bag. Just unscrew the two screws on the inner side
It also would lessen scratch impact on it- cleaning with horse brush
I know right. Surprise to see the person just casually brushing on that hardware. It just shows us how much of an amateur this person is.

No, if you apply finisher on the strap after dyeing.
Great video only I think you made the leather too shiny to the point that now the bag looks fake. Maybe it’s the lighting though I don’t know 🤷🏼♀️

Restored bags always look dry/painted when they are finished. I dont think I’ve ever seen one that look newer
If cleaning the shoulder strap as well It will be beautiful and look new, both the strap and the bag.

@Repair Studio I was thinking of repainting it myself. It's a mini square. Is it correct for each coat to spread it as much as possible to create a thin layer for each coat so leather texture won't be compromised?

Amazing work as always! Is it me or is the finisher too shiny? Chanel bags are supposed to be matte
Not saying it’s not amazing work but repainted/dyed lambskin never looks the same. It’s a last resort.

Not all chanel bags are matte. You have a lot of classic flaps with shiny finishes.
@@rbguerreiro2466 yes, but the timeless classic in lambskin has got a beautiful natural finish. The shiny, patent, pearlised, metallic classics etc are seasonal pieces.
That doesn’t mean that the job of this artisan is not outstanding. ;)

The Leather Surgeons. They are in Pennsylvania but they get shipments literally all over the world. They are Chanel specialists. The owner worked for Chanel for 20 years.

The title of the video should have been HOW TO REPAINT , it's okay but not a professional job. Professional would be to cover the hardware and airbrush the bag with leather dye and finishes , brushes always leave brush strokes and uneven paint/finish, the hardware was not polished , the strap wasn't cleaned and restored, and above all the bag after being washed , it should have a good quality of leather cream or balm. Well you got what you pay
No offense that's a terrible looking back for $7,000...
Loved it but not one of my faves..... you never polished the hardwear nor the strap left me a little irritated lol..... x
