Use a wet dish cloth or paper towel to “soak” those stuck on spots while you clean other areas… quite often comes off without having to use any scratch off pad.
I've had luck even getting dark hair dye out of my white quartz just by using alcohol multiple times a day over the course of the week. I saturate a cotton pad and leave it to sit for a few minutes and then wipe away. Alcohol such a great cleaning tool!
I have had quartz countertop for 13 years. They still look as good as new. Even when i got food coloring and blueberry juice on it. It wiped right off. We use the dish soap mixture.
Yes I have quartz and I am learning how to keep without other folks living in the space. I just had a leak of my ceiling and it left a brown water leak and I was away for 2 months...tried so many things that didn't work...hard to clean.
Please confirm if regular use of aluminum utensils will create streaks? Our pressure cookers are both aluminum and though the streak comes off, it needs a little work?
Thank you for this. We have "Miami white" (I think, but they're SUPER white) quartz countertops, and they're absolutely beautiful. Little did I know how easily they'd markup. I've been struggling, constantly wiping them down with Young Living thieves (diluted of course), and regular cotton towels. Now I know to use microfiber cloths and simple dish soap with water. I also have an essential oil stain (lemon), and I'm not sure how to buff that out. Let me know if there's something I can do about that. Great video. Thanks again!
I like bottles made for welders, last forever, chemical resistant, and have amazing spray triggers, Amazon usually carries them. Zep is pretty good and you can get them on sale often. Another place to look is car detailed products, some of them sell really nice spray bottles that will last a long time and work really well.
Any idea why black dots will suddenly appear on quarts countertops? wasn't there before and it's multiplying. Some go away when I wipe is down with dawn and sponge, others smear and impossible to come off. Contractor has never seen it before and tried white vinegar and didn't work. I tried white eraser, nothing, lastly did the baking soda paste and it made the ones that were smeared, lighter and some of the dots disappeared but I have a lot that smeared. Any thoughts why these black dots appear on white and ombre countertop and how to prevent them from smearing or growing more? HELP
If you have dark quartz and use baking soda or bar keepers you'll notice a bit of color difference. It's because dark quartz absorbs oils and will darken over time. Just clean the whole counter like you did the spot, and it will all match. I freaked the first time I cleaned a spot. After calling the countertop company, the guy told me what to do. Also, be very careful with dark quartz, you can still scratch or even chip it! It's not as carefree as you're led to believe!! But it is beautiful! One other thing... be sure to keep the area around your faucet dried! Water will leave white crusty marks that are a bear to get off!!!
Use any acid, be it citric, oxalic, muriatic. Just wear gloves and glasses when you clean. Remember, all mineral stains are erased with acid, all greasy, organic stains are removed with alkaline (baking soda, ash soda, hydrochloric soda, etc)
Hi There, I have acidic damage to my bathroom counter due to vinegar 😢....any recommendations. It's a black counter top and has left a significant damage on the surface
Hi! I’m just finding your channel and I love it! A quick question about the dish soap and water mix- how much soap to how much water? I’m one of those people who need the exact measurements- I don’t trust myself! Thank you!
I’ve watched a few of your videos and I know you use Incide for sanitizing. Would you avoid using it on natural stone? My home has natural stone in the bathroom and I was wondering what I should use to sanitize it. Thank you so much for your videos.
Thanks! You produce a awesome web-cast! I'm starting to incorporate your cleaning techniques in my daily cleaning chores. I'm making up my own tailored cleaning Checklist to help out.
I have a grey stone benchtop. I’ve noticed hard water stains in the light that won’t budge, rings and spots - How best to remove - I have tried dish soap and warm water to no avail?
I was just thinking about if products like Bon ami is safe on quartz countertop and what’s best to use. This video is helpful. I would avoid using magic eraser as I have took the varnish right off and it’s also not wood friendly for the same reason. I would recommend test it on a small surface on a hidden area first.
I used Magic Erase on my white doors to get off dark, black, oily grubby boys' hand prints...worked great! Until I realized that it took off the finish, and now they look awful!
The tap water splashing on our quartz bathroom sink tops has permanently stained them, eating away whatever clear coat made them shiny and smooth. We now have rough clouds all over thr place. It wasnt ky decision to install these and i trusted my spouse. It is infuriating the amount of money we spent and the work involved because we pulled out our old sinks and installed two of these things ourselves. It looks like garbage. And it bothers me the long list of substances they admit can stain it, including all of the most effective bathroom cleaners. I have watched multiple videos. They arent stained. They are tarnished. The clear coat has clearly been eaten away and the routh material underneath is exposed. Idk if this is the brand we purchased or a common problem, but it is irritating to read the very long list of things that it isnt safe to clean them with or set onto the surface. If it's that fragile, it shouldnt be marketed for kitchen or bathroom sinks at all.
Could you do one about high pressure laminate counter tops? I have a cheap one that has discoloured on my main working spot, and I'm afraid to go hard on the cleaners. It's a rental flat ...
What was the ratio of dawn & water? Thanks. I actually used the dawn u have in the background and sooo much soap. Took forever to get it off 😂- not doing that again lol
Kathy, yes! People don't realize quartz will scratch!! If the scratches aren't deep, you can try bar keepers. Just remember, since quartz scratches, bar keepers can scratch if rubbed too hard! So go over scratches lightly! If your counter is dark, you'll have to do the whole thing. Otherwise, you'll notice a color difference. I do mine periodically, and they come out beautiful. If the scratches are deeper, you will most likely need to call a countertop store and see if they can be professionally sanded and buffed. And don't use abrasive pads!! But do use cuttingboards!! Best of luck!
Looks like they claim it to be safe on the website. I just worry that it’s a little too acidic… The average PH for that is around 5.5 - 7 depending on the water being used. If it’s closer to the 7 PH range I would use it.
I didn’t see where you answered the question of black specs on the white quartz countertop. I’m having the same issue. please answer so I can get my black spots off my quartz countertop. I am regretting putting quartz in my kitchen. It is a very expensive mistake that I can’t afford a granite countertop to replace this awful quartz.
We spilt some tomato sauce on the top that we didn't realise as it was underneath a chopping board. We have tried to remove but there is a dark shadow. Any help or ideas on how to reduce this? We have silestone work tops. Any help would be much appreciated
Never use bleach or fabric softener……I have tons of these. Fabric softener leaves a film in the towel and when cleaning something like windows they won’t be clear. Bleach breaks down the fiber
Does your range have stainless steel top? I don’t have a wolf but have a gas stovetop that is stainless steel and I’m terrified to ruin it with cleaners. I feel like our fingernails have already scratched the surface where the knobs are
We have new counters and I have ZERO clue what type of material it is. Looks like natural material is whitish with specs that look like tiny shards of glass for decoration? Anyone have a clue?
Moral of the story for me, don't get a stone countertop. Seems like way more trouble than it's worth haha. Just some Clorox bleach cleaner on my non stone counter and I'm good to go 😁
never use rubbing alcohol on a counter. They have a Wymans quartz cleaner it disinfects up to 99% cleans and protects too can’t beat that product you are missing out Brandon
I haven’t tried that one yet. Looks like the main ingredient in the cleaner is isopropyl alcohol like I’m using here. I’m not a huge fan of cleaners with “protectants” because they can lead to build up over time.
Just moved into a house with these countertops so this was very, very helpful and timely!! Thanks very much!! 👩🍳
Good to know. Any suggestions for making the shine a bit more?

Hi. Do you have any tips on removing limescale on quartz countertop?
Great channel! I just found it. Do you have a "Daily Clean Check List"? A Weekly Check List? Including how long it should take to do?
I have had quartz countertop for 13 years. They still look as good as new. Even when i got food coloring and blueberry juice on it. It wiped right off. We use the dish soap mixture.
Thank you so much for this video! My husband and I have quartz countertops in our house, and we've never had it before now.
Happy to help!
Yes I have quartz and I am learning how to keep without other folks living in the space. I just had a leak of my ceiling and it left a brown water leak and I was away for 2 months...tried so many things that didn't work...hard to clean.
The company that installed our quartz counters recommends Vim with a soft cloth on stains. We've tried and it works.
I've used soft scrub on my quartz countertops and it works great on stains
What do you recommend for a rust stain left behind by cast iron pan on white quartz countertop?
Mix citric acid with hot water and use a towel to clean. Rinse once done l.
My counter fabricator told me to use only denatured alcohol, not isopropyl. It doesnt always remove dark stains though.
Please confirm if regular use of aluminum utensils will create streaks? Our pressure cookers are both aluminum and though the streak comes off, it needs a little work?
How do you clean quartz that already stained? I have tried baking soda mix with Hydrogen Peroxide but did not work

Recommended spray bottle? My Home Depot ones always seem to break fairly quickly.
Zep bottles last much longer!

Harris Professional on Amazon the longest lasting 😀

What if u don't have a scrub daddy sponge. What should one use on counter tops and glass dividers in the washroom
Can I use this dish soap + alcohol + water combo on cleaning marble bathroom tiles?

Totally agree! A magic eraser is always my last option if the spot is not coming out.
@@CleanThatUp Thanks for replying! Yes, it’s my “for special occasion” sponge and when it works, it works like a charm! Have a great weekend!
Our guy that installed ours said yes, Bon Ami is ok to use.
@@Nancy-md7qr Thank you!

No Dawn in the UK, do you or anyone know any alternative suggestions for Dawn specifically please. Thanks
It's Fairy liquid in the UK in place of Dawn
How do you deal with fingerprints on black quartz?

Our countertop stains are baking pans and my metal teapot kept by the sink for too long. I think it's rust or some similar reaction?
Great tips! And explained very well, too. Thanks!

1 tsp/20oz
Can you make a video on how to use a duster? I don’t understand how to properly use it
Had sharpie bleed through on my quarts and it scared me so bad. Had to use isopropyl and baking soda
Thanks for the tips
I accidently bought 91% isopropyl alcohol. Is that too strong? If so, can I just dilute it a bit?
Any suggestions if I have scratches in my countertop?

I have an polished natural stone counter. It's dark gray. Are bleach wipes bad for it or are they ok to use?
I probably wouldn’t use them personally
Can you use force of nature? The cleaner machine that makes hypochlorous acid.
Looks like they claim it to be safe on the website. I just worry that it’s a little too acidic… The average PH for that is around 5.5 - 7 depending on the water being used. If it’s closer to the 7 PH range I would use it.
@@CleanThatUp I just use our filtered fridge water.
Will any dish soap work? Prefer to use unscented, more natural dish soaps.
Yes!

can i also use 70% ethyl alcohol instead of isopropyl?
Is a steam cleaner okay to use?
Good day..how do you clean your microfiber dishcloths please
Never use bleach or fabric softener……I have tons of these. Fabric softener leaves a film in the towel and when cleaning something like windows they won’t be clear.
Bleach breaks down the fiber
is the dishwashing liquid plus water not enough to disinifect the countertop?
Exactly my thought!
How do you remove cooking oil stains from white quartz countertop?
What if there is a stain that is in the quartz
Love your channel. Would love to see a video on how to clean a Wolf Gas range, especially the baffles for the vent.
Does your range have stainless steel top? I don’t have a wolf but have a gas stovetop that is stainless steel and I’m terrified to ruin it with cleaners. I feel like our fingernails have already scratched the surface where the knobs are
I’m confused, you say not to use anything too acidic or alkaline, then recommend baking soda which is alkaline??
I accidentally cleaned my quarts countertop with comet spray bathroom cleaner (without bleach). Did I ruin my quartz in any way?
I'm moving into a rental in 2 weeks w bright white quartz. Thank God I saw this video! Now I'm going to be super paranoid about my coffee bar.
Great info as Usual!
Thank you sir I appreciate it
This is the video I didn’t know I needed!! ⭐️
That was a really good visual of the scratches ❤
Anyone have the same results with a wet rag as they do quartz countertop clean and shines???
I need help! Mine turned yellow all over and there are marks anything left on them leaves a mark and the sorrounding is yellow.
Clorox gel
How to clean granite?
I have to pink stuff and a magic eraser. Nothing else will remove tea or turmeric stains
Thanks for the tips! ❤
We have new counters and I have ZERO clue what type of material it is. Looks like natural material is whitish with specs that look like tiny shards of glass for decoration? Anyone have a clue?
Err on the side of caution and be very gentle with your cleaners...! As there is no way of knowing, really, what they are made of.
So cool
I've had granite and quartz counter tops. Thumbs down for quartz - chips too easily and stains. Granite thumbs up. Much more durable and beautiful.
The chips are around the edges of the kitchen sink. Beware of washing heavy pans.
Where you been all my life?!?!
Just cleaning 😅
If you came here expecting a way to bring the polish shine back.. forget it.
Try hydrogen peroxide with baking soda let it overnight and scrap it gently
Moral of the story for me, don't get a stone countertop. Seems like way more trouble than it's worth haha. Just some Clorox bleach cleaner on my non stone counter and I'm good to go 😁
That is exactly what I thought 2 minutes in.
Don't stare at the quartz counter top it will stain.
