it's funny because he makes it seem so easy to understand and straight up, when in actuality this takes years of practice to master

@@serbian_nationalist14There’s a difference between mastering it and learning how to execute it properly. Even pros don’t fully master the forehand. There’s always room for improvement.

The angle the racquet tip points at is mostly determined by the grip, 45 deg. for semi-western like Djokovic, near 90 deg., tip facing side fence, for an eastern grip like Federer. Tip facing the back fence for a western grip.

Thanks, that helped a Lot, being a western forehand, mas forcing not to angle the raquete back

Djoko doesn’t use semi though, right. Always though it was somewhere in between semi and western…

No comparto la última parte del vídeo. La apertura de la raqueta y la parte del "lag" se genera por la rotación de la cadera que es empujada por los músculos posteriores con el avance del tobillo en su biomecánica de empuje

If you have to think about how to position your backswing all the time then there's no point in playing tennis.
The backswing should be natural, everyone has their own unique one.
We can't just watch Federer, Nadal and Djokovic's slow motion and copy that motion.
They are doing everything naturally, they don't even think about how they should do the backswing.

Info is probably correct. Hopefully this is a lesson only for high level players to refine their stroke. They would be the only ones able to do this on their own with just this video and no one to make corrections or progress or regress if neccessary. Just speak English. Your using too many unnecessary descriptors to sound more intelligent. Most players, first of all, will never develop this to a world class degree and never even understand what your saying. They need to have some wiggle room on technique to get the best parts of this. Second, show an average player in your videos being able to incorporate your instructions. Or even hit a few balls yourself. This will help players watching, relate to it, and possibly be able to use your information in this format. Otherwise your just talking too much and the student will just flounder alone.

It’s part of the schtick to sell himself. Truth is this guy is confusing a lot of beginners. All he’s describing is a natural stroke production when u have proper weight transfer and have loose arm/wrist.

Ive watched this video a 100 times... doesn't help! It's when your arm is extended to the point of contact with the ball is the problem. It's sped up and easier said then done.
