Crazy to be reminded that ultra max and c200 used to cost 5$
When I first got into film 10+ years ago I was buying 5 packs of Pro Image for $9.99.
At a thrift store
When you awkwardly yelled "get me drunk dammit" ... I clicked subscribe. kudos homie
Also real quick. I ran a dip and dunk for 3 years and processed thousands of rolls of Cinestill. With the light leaking issues, I suspect it's not your photography. I'm almost certain it's poor QC in the manufacturing (probably during the remjet removal, which would make the most sense). I just saw it across way too many photographers. Some great shots in here man. Great vid. Peace
Looks like Cinestill would do great here in the UK, where it’s usually overcast
still stand by this, though I have not shot CineStill in a while
Even though it's sunny at the moment with the heatwaves, I still bought a roll, I'm thinking I'll go shoot late night London, it's supposed to be good in dark light with neon signs and things like that :)
@@jtsmphotography oooh nice, good luck! Would love to see those when you get them developed!
I actually love how it looks for sunsets but I must agree that it's definitely a film best suited towards the evening and blues. The halation is also epic when localized but I can't stand the 'light leaks' that seem random.
That picture of your wife/gf is absolutely amazing, btw.
hilarious text edits. awesome vid man
thanks g
I think I've finally finished every one of your videos, and they're really strong. You're a great photographer.
Cant't believe I'm 33 years old and still laughing at fart noises!! Every damn one of them
Can't tell if I laughed at the fart noises, or the idea of someone else laughing at the far noises, but I laughed hard.
Love this shit, keep it up man. The film community needs someone like you!
Hi Jason, Cinestill 800T is the bomb! Ideal film for many applications, although at night it really is in a class of its own.
Great photos! Keep the channel!
My homie Jose got me into film and especially your channel and it’s kinda been wonderful. Thanks man.
I love the halation! I'm going to pick up a roll. I live in England so the conditions are basically perfect anyway.
Cinestill 800T is the first film I ever bought today, can't wait to see how it turns out!
Shot some cinestill 800T Recently. Loved the look but was definitely more conscious of its haliations and color behavior. I think its a beautiful film for the right time... just gotta find the right time as you said.
Yea it's definitely a film you gotta be a little conscious of for sure. But hey that feeling when you nail the shot is unbelievable
“These are called halations 💨”
Seriously had to catch myself thinking it was moi who tutted .
That "peace " like Willem Verbeeck at the end of the video ahah
Your videos are incredibly entertaining.
I’ve also had a few of those “light leaks” but only when using Metropolis. But I just got done shooting some 120 Cinestill 50d, so we’ll see what happens.
love that rijksmuseum shot
I kinda like the halations...gives a nice effect. Many years ago, the rage was Kodak 5247 film...another motion picture film made for 35mm format...this film kept the remjet layer. Not sure if its even available anymore. I'd like to give the Cinestill a try, but seems to be backordered everywhere.
Your spot on with your “negative” comments about the film, that’s why I won’t shoot a second roll in any hurry.
Great review and great sense of humour
Much appreciated!
The T stands for Tungsten, so the film is corrected for tungsten light. You'l need a filter for daylight exposures.
XD your Exchange rate convertion to PESOS got me subscribed hahaha , Greetings from Tijuana Mexico! .
Just bought a roll of Cinestill 800T, and have a roll of 50D I still need to shoot. Been waiting for something worth shooting with it though because it is so expensive haha.
I like the ease of this video...
Great mahn!
4:56, that's the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam! (:
intro : 10/10
Cinestill 800t
Or as I call it: _the good shit_
Love this film and this review. Your right though this film def needs to be shot under certain circumstances. Also those light leaks come from when you load it under light .. "supposedly your supposed to load it in the dark 😕
😂😂😂😂😂 It is an incontrovertible truth: a fart always is a winner!
The pool shot: where it all began
Dope photos ! Did you underexposed for the night shots and if you did, how many stops down ?
Watched this whilst getting my first tattoo
I’ll have to try the cinestill now. I really like the camera strap, do you sell those? Or do you have info on where o can find one?
Fart noises. Still comical. Who knew?
Love these videos, keep it up man. And the noises.
Great video man, make more. I’ve been trying to make videos like this.
thanks dawg
drinks near the keyboard always give me so much anxiety lol
❤
Light leaks are definitely prominent in the beginning of this film. I suspect it's because of the way the film is packaged into a cassette? But these light leaks are so beautiful, they only add to a picture!!
Agreed... I only ever tried a couple of rolls and both had light leaks. Doesn't put me off though - I like this film.
Love the F5. What lens were you using?
Sigma 35mm 1.4 my dude!
How are you doing these shots handheld? Is the light meter built into your camera accurate enough?
Subscribed for the fart noises. 5 stars.
Absolutely loved the fact that you put the price in pesos (other than the fact that it's losing value fast af)
lol! "L.A. is sunny 365 days a year...like some godamn mad max wasteland"
Love yo' videos, you got yourself another sub. Super keen to try cinestill.
Have you shot with an ECN-2 film yet. Like the Kodak Vision 3?
Its the fart noises that lead me to the thought... "Yeup, I'm subscribing"
That's my local in n out :{D
This guy living in la:" too much sun every single day. Can't use it properly"
Me living in northern Europe: perfect 👌
SInce you are in sunny LA, use the cinestill at night!
I know that in an out! Burbank. Also I’ve had light leaks as well
Why those fart sounds? haha hilarious
i never know that you can make it rain with cinestill films
Learn something new everyday huh
@@grainydaysss knowledge
What about Cinestill 50D? Have you ever shoot with it?
what are the best conditions to shoot it overcast and night neon signs?
Baller tossing 60$ 8n the air at the start like that wewf
Do you know the font he used for the intro ? It looks like the one Cooke's lenses one, but I can't find it tho...
Thank you , Great Content , LOVE the Fart Sounds . !!!
The first second of the video was funny
In Italy it’s almost impossible to find. I bought a roll yesterday for 21€ which is about 26 US dollars
what kind of camera strap is that??
I’m craving this “flamingo flavored” strap. 😂 Do you mind sharing the brand? Love your videos dude.
yeah that is all I'm seeing really.
Subbed for the farting sound effects and casual explanation of the film.
Might be the canister that leaks light?
Bring back the fart noises.
Cinestill is dope. I use it only at night in city lights, however.
hey bud its ***
however, I only use it at night in city lights***
@@averagejoegrows hey bud, it’s “it’s” not “its”.
@@GeraldFigal lol no shit clown
This film is so hard to find at a good price
Hate the fart noises. Thanks for the video anyway lol
what camera strap is that?
No cinestill available! Nowhere😢
18 of May
yo lumberjack jason
great channel, i think you have an English sense of humour
Umm the hot tones are getting muted coz its tungsten balanced. Use the filter and you'd have the truest colors.
4:39 I wish those were still the prices lol
good pics
thanks bruh
it looks like you forgot to color grade your footage.
You are so lucky, cinestill here is like 20 bucks here
Even though the prices in pesos are useful for me I still laugh af when I seen them.
Best at night
I just paid $21 for a roll because everyone is sold out 🙃
anyone else remember when cinestill was affordable?
dope shot 3:35 !
thanks dawg
And now we are paying 20 bucks on this thing...
1:23 stop flexin on us :(
I'm the random cool guy
I shot Cinestill 800T once. Loved it. Great film. You can check out some of my images if you search for 'Frankfurt am Main Cinestill 800T' on flickr. Would love to have some feedback.
Need more fart noises in your videos on the reg.
I think it makes a great film if you don't have the halation.
I wish I could pay 11$ for 800t
I think it’s hilarious that he thinks 11$ for a film is expensive wile I have to pay 50$ for the simplest of films in my country... it’s, like, 30% of the minimum salary here, like dude 🙄🙄🙄 I wanna be american so baaadd
I rather just shoot 500t and process it myself.
$5 a roll 🤣
Update 1 roll of 135 is up to $30 so rip😂
Pesos jajjajaja
Great video! Could do without the fart noises though....
Haha word
@@grainydaysss Nah, the fart noises were great. Keep them.
It's not
