Many people are actually of the mind that being ‘forced’ into a medical and social experiment is undeniably a betrayal, not a simple mistake.
This very issue was raised, debated, and written in to the world codes and laws previously, and those laws and codes were ignored. That leaves things at the level of criminality which wants punishment and requires repentance prior to forgiveness. Sad but true, that is the situation.
How about the fact that it was called out that masks didn't work. Then the "experts" came and were like "yea, turns out they aren't effective at stopping spread and transmission". So many people got harassed, some violently, because they chose not to wear a mask.
These "caring" people might want to slowly let people still wearing masks know that they don't work. They don't have to tell them they always knew that... They can just do the "science changed" BS...
I work retail and 5% of people wear masks in the store still.

I'm all for burying the hatchet in personal relationships, but businesses, politicians, doctors, and anyone in authority who peddled this nonsense and lied to people and abused their authority need to be held accountable, or it will happen again but worse because they know that we'll tolerate it. Natural immunity is still considered to be as strong as vaccine immunity, which is to say neither make you immune but both protect you against the worst outcomes, while natural immunity does it naturally.

What scares me is how easily people complied without questioning anything, and those that did were silenced, threatened with loss of job and security, and had friends and family turn on them. Well to be fair, when you have people dropping dead left and right from the disease, it causes a lot of fear. We're lucky it wasn't Ebola, with little children bleeding from their eyeballs and ears and dying in droves. Absolutely no government body made Americans aware of the risk of pandemic or what to do if we had a pandemic. This caught everyone by surprise. So to just sit on your high horse and act like people should have just known is not only unfair but condescending as shit. Nobody knew. And only the Silent generation and in Boomers were old enough to remember Polio and the havoc that it reeked on their neighborhoods. Those who are younger, like myself, have been walking through life completely spoiled in regard to deadly communicable diseases. Even AIDS wasn't scary for me because I wasn't a gay man or having anal sex or using drugs with needles.

I had a friend of almost 20 yrs who is a nurse - absolutely HAMMERING me that I needed that shot. I was suspicious of all of it immediately, and I knew that the shot didn't meet the dictionary definition of "vax" so I knew they'd go and change that definition. Shut as shit, a month later they "updated" said definition... I lost 2 friends to very sudden and unforeseen heart problems, and another friend wound up had the same issue but survived with open heart and a pacemaker... Nurse friend still insists there's no such thing as vax injured...
20 people in my family are vax they are fine all my coworkers over 50 people and they are fine no heart problems... so yeah our experiences are vastly different

I understand what you're saying, but as a Canadian who didn't get the shot I was unable to enter restaurants, I was unable to visit my parents because they live in a different province, I, for a while according to the government of Canada website, was unable to get a passport. So no, I will not forgive the people who cheered this on. No.

My Papa died (age 88) in June of 2020. We had a very lovely service for him INSIDE our church. There was maybe 300 people who showed up. Not one person wore a mask. Kin flew in from as far away as Califronia. We live in Oklahoma. Nobody died. Nobody got sick. Over 1/2 the people at the service were over 65.
Remember how contagious they said it was? I still haven't had it..
Some people were duped, regret it, and learned from their mistakes. Others were told (by tv and politicians) to shame, demonize, even rat out their friends, family, etc. There is no reconciliation with these people. The only time I’ve worn a mask is if I have to go to the store or something when I know I am actively sick to not spread. Nothing to do with COVID. Just don’t want to get other people sick regardless of what I have.
I would just like to say that there are people that wear a mask because they have others they need to protect. I myself have an elderly compromised mom and so I take every precautionary measure to keep her safe. It is not always easy and people do look at me for wearing a mask, but my mom has not gotten covid in these last 3 years when everyone else around us did. I also get sick with something every year, but have not gotten sick in the last 3 years. Maybe we shouldn't be so judgmental as I'm sure everyone has their reasons! I'm just forwarded saying we should never forgive , we should remember that we are all going to want forgiveness one day! I can only hope and pray we will all get it! I was always taught that people are different and will come with different opinions and to just be respectful, as we all deserve to have our own opinions.

My sisters husband wasn’t able to watch his son be born cuz the hospitals said only one guest and my mom was the one who was with her when she went into labor he showed up in 5 mins but they said he couldn’t watch

When you're suspected of having a heart attack, the paramedics drop you of at the E.R. One of the things the folks at the hospital do is test your blood troponin levels. It's done to see if you have the indicator of heart tissue damage....this is the same thing we're seeing in people who are going to the hospital after getting a Jabb for Ko-Vid....elevated levels of blood troponin. But in the case of of a post-Jab hospital visit patient showing elevated levels it's dismissed as if it were no big deal......we have have young kids and young adults, especially males, showing signs of cardiac tissue injuries. When the overwhelming majority of the young people had a less than 1% chance of death/severe illness from the actual sickness the jabbs were suppose to stop.
Spouse went to the hospital during the lockdowns. First thing they did was test them for CVD before asking if they want to be jabbed before even having anything else done. They eventually just left because it was a waste of time and they felt fine. Everything was done over the phone in the patient room. Absolute hysteria.

As one who lost his job due to not complying with covid testing every week to keep my job or get the jab, I have no sympathy for every person who took the jab and is complicit to giving government more tyrannical power.
When the country is 180 degrees from what it’s supposed to be and what it once was then I can hold a grudge forever.
My mother had me incarcerated at age 13 (40 years ago) and recently said again that I deserved it. I find it very hard and have to constantly let it go, over and over and over again. It burns. I wholeheartedly believe that forgiveness is for the forgiver, not the forgiven, and yet, it is difficult with someone you love when they hold to a view that threatenes your own well-being and continue to express it. I can hardly be around any of the humans I used to consider my social circle. I feel sorry for them, and also am so dissapointed in my fellow humans in general. I reallyh didn't think so many people were so brainwashed, stupid, and cowardly. Many of them still continue to wear dirty cloth face covers, some still wear them in the car by themselves. It is insane, and crazy-making.
That's rough, and you're right, it is more for the one doing the forgiving, unless that other person is making a genuine effort to make amends. Then it is for both of you.
It took many years, but I learned to walk away and not be mad. Stay the course. Your course, and do whatever you have to, to stay a good person and to keep yourself of sound mind. Don't let anyone steal your inner peace. Hope your 2024 is great.

No, I love her. She loves me. She still believes that having me locked in a cement cage was the best option for lots of reasons. She is simply terribly immature in many ways (as am I, to be fair). She is in her 70's now, and I am in my 50's, and I am grateful not to be estranged anymore as we have been for long periods of time. I did stay away from her for long parts of my life. I have come to understand she did the best she could and it could have been much worse, as with all or most of us. She did not get good parenting either, as so many of us do not. No one makes you test. A lot of people have extra tests laying around as well as workplaces giving them away. A positive Covid test is a ticket out of meetings and paid leave for some workers.
Americans experience might be different, but in Canada i couldn't go to certain stores or public events or use public facilities and i lost my job. There were snitch lines. Cops arrested people who had too many people in their homes. Some people were denied care if they weren't vaccinated. It's absolutely personal.

The Covid shot helped ease your immune system to adapt to the virus rather than deal with it head on. That's Seth's point. People were dying too fast for natural immunity to take place. We learned over time too that you could get Covid over and over. The disease was usually less and less harsh on the body but it reinforces the fact that Natural Immunity wouldn't work fast enough with this virus
