When you saw the name Zack anywhere, I am 100 percent sure, everyone go for it. Army of thieves focus mainly focus on safe cracking inside technology and little amount of love.
Seeing Bautista offer him $250,000 to open this safe really made me think he did this for Gwendoline seeing as he has 3 bags of cash. Maybe she somehow is killed by Brad/Anastasia at some point before AotD if they make a sequel to AoT prior to AotD. I think they said it was 6yrs prior to AotD? So him overcoming his fears to go do this is for her & him which is also why he was ok scrifcing himself possibly, to save our future virus spreader. Anyways I was pleasantly surprised with the comedy in this, "Once upon a time in a far away land of Munich.... For my International friends," made me laugh harder then I should have probably. When he punched Anastasia also? Like holy fuq >.< That scene reminded me of Superman's Kryptonite gas wearing off while Batman is punching him in the jaw.... it wears off and Batman takes some steps back while gesturing Supes to calm down just to get ragdolled. Ultimately I thought it had a great blend, with my only complaint was realizing that I enjoyed his char tremendously and that they dont have to bring him back if they don't want to.
Hey, Paul. Have you played the game "The Stanley Parable"? I played it recently and I think it was a pretty obvious easter egg in the movie, where Dieter entered a room with two doors and Korina said that he should enter the left one. I don't want to spoil the game here in case you or some else didn't played it, but If you know about this game, you know, what it means for that popular AOTD theory.
The most unrealistic part of the movie aren't the heists, zombies or breaking into an unbreakable safe. It was the Ludwig Dieter turning down a make out session with Korina!

Zeus tended to save the humans who tried to protect each other (or were given as tribute, lol) to zombie ceremony them later. Dieter could have survived or been bitten like Vanderhoe. Whether he then survived the nuke is the real question.
@@juanita-dark No one survived that Nuke. I don't think Zombie Dieter or Human Dieter would've survived that. The only thing that could save him was the safe and that was locked by him.
Army of Thieves was a great prequel and I loved the introductions for each character of the crew! Also I liked how Dieter named his shop after Gwen which I didn’t know who it was named after in the AOTD, so nice little Easter egg you could say.
AOTD was so bad that I forgot most of the story in that movie. The only reason I watched Army of Thieves is because it's based on the most interesting character in AOTD. I don't regret it. 🙂
I have a strange feeling that Hans Wagner and Sebastian are just the same person, just traveled back in time to see if he can reunite with Gwendoline. What do you guys think?
Maybe, but at the same time the woman in the locket at 2:44 doesn't look like Gwendoline to me. Then again, I do think it's absolutely possible that Sebastian and Hans could be the same person since it's also possible that the vault is a time travel thingy majingy.
I think Zack Snyder finally took his time on this movie and was still able to use his Suicide Squad character introduction scenes but was more useful since the characters are not super natural. I liked how they broke the 4th wall by not looking at the screen and how they implemented mountain biking. It was hilarious how he tried to steal a locked road bike. Zack definitely sucked us in to the characters and really felt like he enjoyed making this one.
Did anyone noticed when they go to crack the first safe when sebastian goes into the elevator and gwendaline puts in the key, there's an omega symbol on one of the buttons. I think the omega symbol will have a larger role in these movies
I honestly really liked this one. First Netflix movie that I really liked and I thought it wasn't just something made to just be made. Hope Snyder can continue to pull these off
Dieters death is 100% being worked around or retconned. Absolutely no way he isn’t in the next film after Army of Thieves. The story almost writes its self for the sequel, New outbreak so he goes and busts his old crew out of jail.
And Snyder even said in an interview "We don't see him die on camera, and there's still some time left. I won't tell you what happens in Army of the Dead 2 - aka Planet of the Dead - but let's just say that there's a chance Dieter survives. And there's a chance that brush with death would have caused him to want to find a jailed Gwendoline." It's basically confirmed he survived.
100% agree, there’s no way he’s not in the sequel. The fact he’s such a popular character and literally got his own movie surely means that he’ll he present in future instalments.

Army of Thieves was so good, fun and entertaining. Sebastian/Dieter is becoming my favourite character in the whole franchise and I also want Gwendoline and Korina back in the planet of the dead🙏. 9/10🔥🔥🔥
He's talking about Rolph. Seriously mate, it's like one of the easiest names to remember lol. I actually really hope Sebastian survived the attack and managed to run since he was nimble. Or since he might of died, he got a movie since we won't see him again
I have the feeling that the sequel movie will have a story where in the future, people go back in time trying to stop the zombie appocaplyse from happening but they ultimately fails. This may explain the zombie robot
I really like all the potential of these two films and the films to come. They're just flat out fun to watch. Oh yeah and I really like Sébastien a lot too
Paul, you'd probably be highly entertained by what a locksport tournament looks like. The part with the safes all in a circle is kind of a dramatic take on one, lol. There are also a lot of Nibelungenlied references in this movie.
I think that Zeus didn’t kill Dieter. I think Zeus took him to the Olympus then I think Dieter escaped, got out of Las Vegas and found a car then drove to a safe distance. I believe that Zac Snyder said that in a horror movie, no one is really dead unless they are shown dying and he said that there was enough time for Dieter to escape.
I enjoyed this more over aotd, better cast and focused story. Aotd has an amazing opening sequence though too bad the most interesting character died in the opening lol
I really liked the film. I didn't know it was connected to army of the dead until watching it. It was a nice surprise. I do like Dieter. One of the favorite characters. Hopefully he is alive.
This movie was good but ultimately felt pointless knowing Dieter dies in Army of the Dead. Also, the actor that plays him is now dating Ruby O. Fee (Korina in the movie)...lucky bastard.
I shed a tear at the end, knowing that he will never get to see her again because he dies in army of the dead. I loved this movie and I liked it more than the previous one. Knowing how he died makes the ending of this one so much more bittersweet. I really wish Snyder finds a way to keep dieter alive because I want him to reunite with Gwendolyn.
@@KumudSingh739 So far there are 2 movies on Netflix. A prequel movie Army of Thieves, and Army of the Dead. Next year they are going to release anime series which contains 6 episodes called Army of the Dead Lost Vegas which is the origin of the zombie virus. And lastly Army of the Dead sequel is in development which will be called Planet of the Dead.
It crazy because people have been mentioning aliens and the apocalypse. The army of the dead is all about it, then in army of thieves there is a video about mark of the beast. Dieter says it himself twilight of the gods, "it's death or rebirth" . That's why when something ends, there's a new beginning. Liked the army of thieves more.
When brad held “nervous guy” hand and looked into his eyes… it was right there when brad fucked up hahahaha side note that scene reminded me of lion king
Just rewatched this movie, I hope the next one would be a "mystery" catergory where Deiter enter the safe and travel to "another realm" or back in time that would explain the corpse that died before them.
Is it me or should Army of Thieves should have came out before Army of the Dead? I love AoT a hell of a lot more and would have made me love the characters more in AotD.
After losing his love to the cops, Ludwig began to regress back into his comic book writing, everything we see is his psychological reflection of that... thats why he survives and is able to be apart of these tales... hes probably just watching the news somewhere and just inserting himself into the heist so he can fill some sort of lonely hole in his heart
Honestly AOT (no not attack on titan) was better then AOTD and **spoiler** **Spoiler** **Spoiler**--> But I don't think Deiter shoulda died and should've just got in the vault with van
it was good. i give it a 11 out of 10. i hope he isn't dead in army of the dead. would like to see him in future films, he is the best character and gives the movies soul
I actually liked this movie a lot. Is a very likeable character going around blind in a heist movie. It's just fun and I guess i'm just simple like that.
Does anyone know where to get the 92nd minute song "Firewall" by Stephanie Olmanni ?? Thanks!!!! ¿¿Alguien sabe dónde conseguir la canción del minuto 92, "Firewall" de Stephanie Olmanni?? Gracias...
I never watched AOTD but I will tonight. I just finished the movie and now I see why the Spanish chick was making fun of him in the car, saying that his nightmares may be premonitions. I didn't know it was a prequel (update: oh ok, it's not a prequel unless I concocted a theory)
Paul. Could you please do a Heavy Spoilers break down of Y The Last Man? I know it was canceled but I feel like if someone like yourself checked out and broke down all the cool things about the show it might get a second chance.
May be
Maybe, but at the same time the woman in the locket at 2:44 doesn't look like Gwendoline to me.
Then again, I do think it's absolutely possible that Sebastian and Hans could be the same person since it's also possible that the vault is a time travel thingy majingy.
I thought first he is the son of Hans Wagner
It was kinda hilarious how he turned down Korina knowing they're a couple in real life.
Are they really?
@@AVybzdagoat yea, look em up!
Really loving this little universe Zack is making at Netflix!
@@antoniothehuman2504 where the source he said that?
100% agree, there’s no way he’s not in the sequel. The fact he’s such a popular character and literally got his own movie surely means that he’ll he present in future instalments.
@@antoniothehuman2504 I heard him say that but man they have to get it right. A swarm of zombies and then a bomb being dropped on him. It’s a hard sell to just say oh he was under a rock 😂
@@antoniothehuman2504 and think about it dude being grabbed by one of those prime zombie u think he alive? on top of bomb dropped on las vegas? nahh bro hard sell to me..snyder just want to do cheap marketing so we will watch his superpowers zombie movie
Army of Thieves was so good, fun and entertaining. Sebastian/Dieter is becoming my favourite character in the whole franchise and I also want Gwendoline and Korina back in the planet of the dead🙏. 9/10🔥🔥🔥
I also want to have the black guy come back too, he didn't got the chance to have more interactions though
@@iamfriendly6483 You mean the guy at the end of AOTD? He may be a zombie.
@@iamfriendly6483 Vanderhoe right?
@@terrywhyte6281 No. The black guy from army of thives, THE DRIVER
He's talking about Rolph. Seriously mate, it's like one of the easiest names to remember lol. I actually really hope Sebastian survived the attack and managed to run since he was nimble. Or since he might of died, he got a movie since we won't see him again
In a snyderverse far far away, Zack Snyder filmed in harmony. Then, everything changed when Warner Brothers attacked.
I have the feeling that the sequel movie will have a story where in the future, people go back in time trying to stop the zombie appocaplyse from happening but they ultimately fails. This may explain the zombie robot
I’m actually starting to really enjoy Zack’s armyverse it’s so fresh with great callbacks And I’m really excited for what’s to come

I really like all the potential of these two films and the films to come. They're just flat out fun to watch. Oh yeah and I really like Sébastien a lot too
Movie was pretty epic overall, would like to see another sequel though, after Planet of the Dead
To be honest, after seeing all the intricate designs of the safes in army of thieves, the safe from army of the dead looks pretty dull by comparison.
Indeed
I remember there were only three locks in AotD, meanwhile, the third vault in AoT literally has seven.
Paul, you'd probably be highly entertained by what a locksport tournament looks like. The part with the safes all in a circle is kind of a dramatic take on one, lol. There are also a lot of Nibelungenlied references in this movie.
Gotta appreciate Snyder’s willingness to combine two completely different genres no matter if you like his movies or not
Just finished this. I absolutely loved this movie. Dieter was my favorite character in Army of The Dead. This was a ton of fun.
WB really did drop the ball couldn't agree more.
8/10 from me too man.
Great vid mate, i didn't even know this was out. Have you been watching Foundation you would do great reviews on that series 4 sure.
Nah I haven’t had a chance to see it yet

Didn’t even know this Movie came out…
I hope he didn't die in army of the dead, so we get to see him reunited with gwen
I enjoyed this more over aotd, better cast and focused story. Aotd has an amazing opening sequence though too bad the most interesting character died in the opening lol
the letters and numbers that looks like water marks is obviously a code for something, sense thats dieters whole thing
Honestly just seeing the incredible amount of correlation between the end of Army of Thieves and Army of the Dead was incredible!
Planet of The Dead!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can't wait for the sequel of AOTD.
What I’m more impressed with is that the lead actor, unpronounceable name, is the Director of the movie. Like what the fuck? This was a good movie.
A bloody good movie.
I really liked the film. I didn't know it was connected to army of the dead until watching it. It was a nice surprise. I do like Dieter. One of the favorite characters. Hopefully he is alive.
Some people saying that army of thieves is better then army of the dead this is called creating momentum movie by movie you will love more installment
This movie was good but ultimately felt pointless knowing Dieter dies in Army of the Dead. Also, the actor that plays him is now dating Ruby O. Fee (Korina in the movie)...lucky bastard.
I have to say, I really enjoyed this film, didn't think I would. Stylishly directed and very entertaining.
Zack killed this movie Dieter really became one of my characters in the movieverse can't wait to see where Zack is taking all this
it was so good to see Guz in this. been really enjoying him in this season's taskmaster - charming guy
The prequel is better than Army of the Dead itself.
Same here. I care about the these characters more than Army of the Dead.
Fr? Cause I haven't watched it.
@@adityawankhede7260 Yeah for real. I liked Army of the Dead but I LOVED Army of Thieves.
@@abdullahshaker17 Can anyone pls tell all the movies in this franchise
I am want to start it
@@KumudSingh739 So far there are 2 movies on Netflix.
Brad Cage = Jugh Hackman
Hahahah
When brad held “nervous guy” hand and looked into his eyes… it was right there when brad fucked up hahahaha side note that scene reminded me of lion king
I felt like I watched a fast and furious spinoff with Ramsey
One of the very few times a prequel really works for a franchise.
I liked both movies, but if I had to choose I liked Army of the Dead better.
Just rewatched this movie, I hope the next one would be a "mystery" catergory where Deiter enter the safe and travel to "another realm" or back in time that would explain the corpse that died before them.
They cancelled the series
I enjoyed this more than army of the dead
Probably cause these characters where not idiots like AotD.
@@jarigustafsson7620 in army of the dead non erano idioti

Awesome video Sir gonna watch it soon 👍👍👍
Does anyone know which song plays when gwen fights the 2 security guards at 1:03?
Is it me or should Army of Thieves should have came out before Army of the Dead? I love AoT a hell of a lot more and would have made me love the characters more in AotD.
I enjoyed the story telling. 7.5 out of 10
whats the name of the movie that appears in the minute 6:00
The most realistic review of AoT on UA-cam rn👍🏽
Really enjoyed it! I only got annoyed as he talked AT the scene of the crime before and after cracking the vaults as if time was on their side lol
What was the name of the song in the background of this video ?
Like 10 minutes ago i watched army of thieves, and i didnt even know army of the dead exists. This is a great start !!
Dude how do you manage to make Quality Content DAILY
ive got good people around me
And magic......thats what i heard....could be a rumor tho
Amazing review, hit all the points including UFOs, gods and time loops amongst other things!
Why did Sebastian say that i know the reason after cracking the 3rd safe???
Love...
I would rate the movie 🍿🎥 an 8.5/10 instead of an 8
Korina is just smoking hot.
I like how I'm a hiest movie there always a bike chase scene but they replaced it with him on a bicycle lmao
Zack should make a few more "Origin stories" set before Army
After losing his love to the cops, Ludwig began to regress back into his comic book writing, everything we see is his psychological reflection of that... thats why he survives and is able to be apart of these tales... hes probably just watching the news somewhere and just inserting himself into the heist so he can fill some sort of lonely hole in his heart
Honestly AOT (no not attack on titan) was better then AOTD and **spoiler** **Spoiler** **Spoiler**--> But I don't think Deiter shoulda died and should've just got in the vault with van
Always love your reviews.
it was good. i give it a 11 out of 10. i hope he isn't dead in army of the dead. would like to see him in future films, he is the best character and gives the movies soul
I liked the connection it did at the end to Army of the dead.
Fuck this movie was so good. Hacker Nerd Girl is beautiful too.
I actually liked this movie a lot. Is a very likeable character going around blind in a heist movie. It's just fun and I guess i'm just simple like that.
8/10 is a good score.

The making of the safe i think symbolizes that in the movie the army of the dead, everybody is locked in a cycle just like hans wagner and the ring cycle and could be that the safebreaker breaking through to the final safe breaks them free of this timeloop as there were their bodies from previous cycles that never made it through, and then this timeline continues
