Yamaha XL800 Waverunner Rebuild Part 3

Started the removal of the bottom half of the XL800 engine to replace the 3 oil seals and found out right away the 2 oil seals on the PTO end were missing. I thought the inner seal was there and the outer seal was the only one missing. So now I'm going to do a complete disassembly and check for engine damage.

That block may have been sealed with a a special gasket liquid like locktite 518

I hope u didn’t hone those cylinders Yamaha uses nikasil on their cylinders it’s very thin honing will damage it

I thought you can hone it very little

the piece that fell looks like a sacrificial anode for salt water.
