I hope you like it! However just a reminder, if youre just talking about food its a "plant based diet" as veganism is more of an ethical stance that applies to avoding animal cruelty in all areas of life, not only whats on your plate 💚

@@countrywithouttrucksandbeerpls I'm whole food plant based and vegan as well (and I mean like not even eat nut milk, defatted foods and tofu, whole food) but I would say that going whole food plant based is separate from my veganism. I went vegan beforehand and didn't even know that whole plant foods were healthy or what was even healthy or unhealthy at all for that matter

I just came across your channel. I do want to try eating more plant based but always felt so overwhelmed 😕. Personally, I feel I need meals that are simple and quick. But of course nutritious and tasteful as well. I think I can manage 5 days though. I’m going to sign up for your challenge!
Welcome to this channel! ☺️ I totally understand you, that's how I think as well. Ofc there are easier alternatives but maybe not so nutritious so you'll have to weigh pros and cons with cooking. I've done my best to make these recipes as easy as possible but still nutritious, I really hope you try something you like! 💚

I am going for my dream of becoming a pilot after raising my family. However, I am overweight and want to feel healthy again. This is one of the reasons why your channel is much more than just a channel of great recipes...it really is an amazing stepping stone to a healthier life for someone like me. Hi, Alexandra! My second son, who is an avid weightlifter/exercise enthusiast, convinced me to go vegan over a year ago. I feel remarkably better and more energetic but it has been a struggle trying to come up with recipes - on a regular basis - that keep my taste buds interested. I’ve followed a number of vegan sites for over a year. Just received the 2023 challenge meal plan, downloaded the app and plan to subscribe for a full year. Having someone else develop the recipes and guide me over the next year, will truly be a blessing! I’ve tried a number of your recipes already, and I appreciate that they use common household tools/ingredients and don’t take a tremendous amount of time. And cost wise, it’s a steal!

Made my list and finally got the app!I love it !Especially the groceries list and the fact that it is so easy to do a meal with the things you already have at home.Also very helpful that it converts the food for one or more people ❤️love love the app

Been vegan for years but I'll sign up anyway because your diet looks a lot like mine, minus the maple syrup and( and I'm Canadian lollll) and that i don't use oil. You're very motivated to do that being at the end of your pregnancy!! I assume the video frequency will reduce a bit after birth right? Please don't overwork yourself;)
Doesn't hurt with some more inspiration in the kitchen right!? 😘 I feel very good so we decided to do the challenge even this year. And yes the frequency will likely go down a bit after birth for a while ☺️

Hi Alexandra! Thank you so much for the challenge! Much appreciated for all your hard work! I started plant based because of extremely high cholesterol. Is it okay to substitute the full fat coconut milk for something else in the ingredient list? Also would organic soy milk work instead of plant based milk which I assume you mean almond or oat. I started drinking soy for the calcium and benefits regarding hot flashes in menopause.

What is a good substitute for the coconut milk in the curry recipe? I'm allergic. Thank you!
Either just unsweetened plant milk (soy is usually creamiest), a barista version plant milk. Or you could do cashew cream by blending 1/4 cup boiled cashews with 1/2 cup water until completely smooth (you need a high powered blender for this though 900W+) when you add the cashew cream to a simmering liquid it will thicken up :)

Hi. Just subscribed in the app. I really love the plant based idea and I am all for it but I know my family won't be as committed as I. We agreed to 2 meat meals and 5 meat free meals in a week. All the dairy products you provided ...can those be dairy products if I want to?? I mean they won't even recognise this but where I live its not always easy to get those.
Hi! Happy to have you joining 💚 There are not many vegan dairy products but the ones that are present in the meal plan you can switch out :). And that is a great approach in your family, 5 meat free meals is a great accomplishment!

Hi Giulia! You're most welcome ☺️ 1 cup oats = 80g, 1 cup cashews = 130g. If you have the app you can change to a metric system in the settings (click on the profile down to the right -> settings up to the right -> click metric system)
What are the daily calories on this meal plan? Daily Macros? I'm eating lower fat and higher protein vegan bc I'm working out a lot and trying to see results :)
When I develop meal plans it's hard to satisfy everyones needs since all need different, but the calories are roughly 1800 per day (100-200 more if cooking with oil) but as I write in the meal plan, you should eat more if you feel more hungry. I make sure to have a balance of proteins, fats and complex carbs in every meal but I don't focus on a perfect ratio because there isn't one. I would guess the protein is roughly 15-20%. Fat is pretty low since it is whole food focused

I am not a fan of Curry, what is a good substitue? I do like spicy!
There's curry powder in the dressing, in that case you can either remove the curry powder and keep it as it is. Or you could replace it with paprika powder if you like that :)

I like your videos and all.. but I hate when people are just doing to gain ( just for money) .. when you genuinely are doing something to help free doesn’t come with bribing people to subscribe to unlock what’s free!!! The greatest thing you can do with you gift is to give it for free first!! God bless you
Not happy with your 5 day meal plan I had to pay for , most of it is “eat leftovers” the next day like c’mon now you only had to do recipes for 5 days and most of them are leftovers . Waste of money
