  • This is my method for smoothing my pla 3d prints. There are many ways to do this so expeirment and find the best way for you!

    Interesting, I’ve only had a 3D printer for a couple of months, mainly making parts for workshop use, so no need for that level of detail. Would like to see the finished Iron Man helmet.

      they are super cool! what sort of workshop things are you printing, very interesting!! I will be sure to post a video or picture of the iron man when it's painted !

      @@mattsdiy4595 before I got the printer I started to learn Fusion 360 as I wanted to be able to design my own parts, not just download designs from Thingiverse.
      So I’ve started with simple parts like star knobs, paint dogs, guide rail stops and a flag stop for T-tracks.
      From Thingiverse, I’ve printed a router base for the Katsu that runs on the Festool/Makita guide rail, and vacuum hose clips to keep cables secured.
      I’m currently looking at this, a system like the commercial Button Fix product, that’s been designed by Mike M here on YT.

      that's super cool!! need to start to learn fusion360 aswell so I can make my own tools and cosplay stuff!
      let me know how you get on with that stuff I'd love to print some of your stuff and show it off !!!!
