The Guy Who Posts I'll just point out that Yukes needs to be fired and a new development team needs to be put in place. 2K only publishes the game, it is Yukes that develop it.

I have not played any wrestling games since the n64. Since you seem like you have played quite a few, could you recommend one? I like to be able to use weapons, get the characters visibly beaten up and bloody, good custom character, be able to fight outside of the ring like backstage and stuff if possible. Also, gameplay is very important.
Corpse Party In that case I'd recommend the PS4 and Xbox One versions of WWE 2K15. But If you don't have one of those 2 systems I'd say go with WWE 2K14. I hope this helped a bit

Man, i woul probably cut 2K14 some slack if they made their story mode based on the Ruthless Agression era, which was like 2002 to 2007.
+Griffin Higbe Then again, Attitude Era mode in this game went from 1997 to 1999 and that's not counting the bonus and off script matches.
This game is probably my favourite wrestling game on the Xbox 360. I even prefer this over 2k17. I spent so many hours in the game modes, especially story designer and creation suite, creating my own CAWs vs Attitude Era Storylines. I wish they made a game that focused more on WCW during the Nitro Era. That would be awesome.

TheAshevillian I had not played a wrestling game since wcw/nwo thunder for ps1 until this one. i would recommend it for sure the attitude era is awesome. it's a bit glitchy and pretty challenging and sometimes frustrating but all in all its a good time. there are also an insane amount of unlocks.
i got it for like 4 dollars on fleaby, looll. Is backstage any good?

Overall a good game. A step up from WWE 12 with the Attitude Era branding and more expanded creation suite. However there were a fuckload of glitches
I agree with you as well. When this game first came out, I was addicted to it like I was with 12 but maybe even more so. I remember thinking this one of the best wrestling games in awhile too. But, the amount of glitches in the game are what ultimately hold it back from being one of the best. WWE 2K14 is pretty much an improved version of this game, with less glitches, and improved flow with the controls. So, I'm hoping WWE video games get even better from here on in.
Tyler Melton I remember the multiple glitches in WWE 13 but considering the crazy amount of glitches & crashes in WWE2K20,WWE 13’s glitches were nothing.

I have this game on ps3 and it is really good! But I still like the SVR games though!
is this game worth it? i bought wwe 12 but found the controls kinda hard are the controls in wwe 13 more basic or more complex
one thing i miss was the skill set ability system from '08, what i mean is having high flyer,submission,hardcore, etc.
This game on the wii, it's better than wwe 12, but that's not saying much. WWE 13 is a good game, but it does have flaws. The positives are that it has a really good roster (mostly because of the attitude era stars), it has a great attitude era mode, it has some fun match types, and overall the game is fun for the most part. The negatives are that the graphics still looks mediocre, the matches can be very slow when you play them, it had some bad glitches, and some weapon shots had no sound effects. I mean come on, I know it's for the wii, but again it could have been better. I still play it for the attitude era mode and some matches. But I can see why after this they stop making wrestling games for the wii, it's because they don't really care about the wii game system.

I've seen some reviews of this series and read many peoples opinions on which games are the best. The general consensus seems to be that Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain are the very best of the series. Most people say HCtP is the better of the two, but some argue that SYM is a little better. Although they are not seen to be on the same level as those games, SvR 2006, SvR 2007, this game(WWE '13), WWE 2K14, and 2K16(I think) are also said to be really good. With the except of the first two games in the series, the rest are considered by the *majority*(not everyone) to be pretty bad.

it wasnt just the gameplay though. even the story of no mercy was awesome. it wasnt linear like all the wrestling games have been the past few years. it had branching storylines, depending on whether u win or lose the match, decide to help one person over the other, betrayals, etc. it was awesome in every way
are the buttons on WWE 13 the same as WWE 12 ?
By the way Smackdown Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes The Pain have better graphics than the new ones and those were on PS2

I seriously wish they could bring back the Career mode, especially during the Attitude Era, I remember how fun the career mode in Here Comes the Pain was, and the replay value was endless! So many different storylines to go by.
If you bought it can you explain to me about universe mode? I haven't bought a WWE game since 2007. And how does the cut scene work? Like if i picked CM punk would he have his own cut scenes?, cause i want to choose him, lol. I'm like still confused after the video THQ had showed. Thanks for the answer! For me, in '12 anytime I had a CAW in a match it would take so long to load that I eventually erased all my CAWS and just played with the current roster.

I've only ever really played (and owned) Smackdown 2: Know Your Role on PS1 and loved it. Is there a more recent (i.e. PS3) WWE game that is similar to that one?

Did you know that in my career mode if you preview a locked move and press x or A it will be added to the moveset
Did they do something with the diving moves in the game because say i'm going to do a 450 or corkscrew splash there if a "force" that pushes me and i miss the opponent or ii get pushed out of the ring. Does anyone else get this too? If anything try doing the 450 or corkscrew when they arent in the middle of the ring try closer to the ropes.

I'm considering buying this just for the nostalgia of the attitude era. The last wrestling game I purchased was Wrestlemania X8 for Gamecube... and that was solely based off how much myself and friends loved the old THQ Wrestling games from the late 90s -early 2000s. Countless hours were spent playing WCW/NWO World Tour or Revenge... and WWF No Mercy and Wrestlemania 2000. Those games are classics. I still own them. Maybe it's time to dust 'em off ;).

I love this game but I hardly ever get a good connection online. It's major lag. I learnt to adapt by pressing buttons 2 seconds in advance but then that really stuffs me up when playing a game without lag as I press buttons to early haha. I hate spammers who just use the same move over and over. Spear, spear, spear spear, spear..... just for a win, is that fun? Honestly? Play it like its a real match, WAY more fun and exciting win or lose! Do different moves, take risks etc.
should i get this game or wwe 12? Because loads of people are moaning about this game but I want to get the most up to date one!

Man 2k did well with 2k14 after that it went to hell. Wwe 13 was my absolute favorite

I've only used the servers a couple times, and I connected very fast with no problems both times. Was able to get into community creations with no problems as well.

Hopefully on next gen consoles the games look super realistic with no glitches and realistic crowd and reactions and being able to go backstage during any match and having tons of freedom.

In the entrance you can hardly hear your entrance music because the crowd is screaming so loud.
I actually bought the game today and I like the pacing, it is far more faster than in the SVR series which is great because i always found them too slow, till now though gameplay wise the transition change is new to me but nothing I won't get use to. My real problem is that crowd cheers are louder than the entrance music & ring announcer and the sounds of moves aren't as loud as before which make me feel like theirs no power in my hits

The reviewer from last year's game was a different guy.This series is not overrated at all,if anything it's underrated.This game is great.
This year is all about the Attitude Era which i watch most of my childhood years and its still one of the best WWE era ever but it doesnt feel right where you dont have all the characters that was apart of the era like Kurt Angle, Hardys, the Dudley Boys, DLO Brown and others who were apart of the Attitude

I don't know about this game, but looking at customization and how you can create the old wwe rings and the the old addition of the attitude era makes me want to get it. I haven't played a wrestling game in years ( SVR 2010 was the last one) so i don't want to be disappointed with this one.

I do agree with the issues stated but I think that one thing missed was online multiplayer. It seems to never get better even when THQ says it's better. The only time I've actually used online is to download something off of Community Creations. My rating with the online would be 6.9.
Which Svr?
The first SVR was good, but Smackdown vs raw 2006 was the best wrestling experience I had ever played. The following SVR 2007 and 2008 wasn't as good...so I stopped purchasing the series ever since. But since I hear WWE 12 and 13 had good ratings, I'm willing to give it a try. Which one would you guys recommend?

I did a suplex off the ladder and I was floating in air the glitches really need to stop.
Wow...i actually LIKE the idea of all the multiple camera angles. it could be tough to play with yeah and thankfully you can turn it off, but i like to sometimes do CPU VS CPU matches so with those camera angles On, it'll feel kind of like if im watching WWE TV

The only problem I had with this game was the laggy online but I just played a match and it didn't lag once, so fingers crossed this carries on, about time THQ!

Have no clue what to expect from 2k14 because apparently it was too late in the production cycle to add or remove things and change.
I think the noisy crowd adds to the realism factor.
In real life you can also barely hear yourself talking with 100.000 people screaming at a time.

My main issue with WWE 12 was seeing my opponent spring up within 5 seconds after hitting them with a fucking tank or somthing.

If you enjoy the chaos of the Attitude Era, the new match types like I quit and Special Guest Ref, and a new and DEFINETLY improved enviorment including a smarter and smooth grappling and reversing system. Also, the made mid-game replays of amazing moments and OMG moments like The Collasping ring, breaking a barricade, standing on top of the announce table and doing your finisher, suplexing opponents from the top rope to the floor outside of the ring, and

My god this game is amazing, With all of the online creations (which are mostly just as well created as the wrestlers already in the game). the Attitude era, I couldn't ask for more.My roster is endless, glitches are minimal,and I really have customised my game, only using with WE belt WHC and Attitude Championships.Can anybody tell me (maybe a stupid question) can your PS3 get a virus, or anything like that? After my about 20th download, sometimes when I'm editing wrestlers,its freezing. Help?

Also throwing opponents over the top rope with a grappling move was removed, which i also liked to have returned in WWE 13, but still isn't
