Where was that when i was working in the winter and spending nights in my rv? Oh yeah, right...that was 20 years ago........never mind. But pretty damn cool, Haxmeister! Betting its a bit pricey though but for certain situations, that would be worth it. Thanks for sharing this.... greatly appreciated! Take care, be safe and God bless!
Can confirm, EcoFlow Wave2 software deactivates the heat cycle below 41*F, per the user manual, where only the blower continues to function at ~50 watts use via DC connection (or 60 watts via AC plug). Having 4x EcoFlow Wave2 units connected via DC via adapters to two EcoFlow Delta Pro's, all 4 units stopped heat function as soon as 40*F was reached. It is now 4*F in my area with lower temps arriving tomorrow 01-14-2024. You'll need a secondary heat source if you desire heat below 41*F. Otherwise, the EcoFlow Wave2 is a fantastic cooling solution for small spaces, and equally effective heating down to 41*F. Thanks for the review.
I have it It doesn’t work that well if you don’t have any isolation in the vehicle It really only works if you have it kind of blow on you in a regular ( not isolated vehicle ) Note! I run it of a 5000wh + LiFePo4 battery ( DC load) trough my Delta 2 So if you only have the extension battery just forget it, you get 3h on max and 6-7 h on eco mode. Huge down side is also the vent tubes, they should be well isolated as they get very hot ( on AC mode ) and cold ( on Heating mode ) So this plays a huge factor for the ambient temperature. Also mine started making noise ( the blower fan ) and it’s kind of annoying clicking noise. Over all I like the unit but it is no perfect by any means and for the money it is not really worth it to be honest.
you only need to run the exhaust tube for cooling especialy so then its recycling the cool air its already made instead of trying to cool the outside air up
Hey there Adam wow cool portable dual ac you got there for our vehicle what did that set you back? So Ecoflow are making these now as well as there power stations what is next?. Most homes with ac down here are dual aircon/heaters these days anyways take care & stay safe mate.🦘
It’s about $1,400 USD for the combo. Definitely not worth it for everyone but I think these are really popular with overlanders. You probably have a lot of those in your neck of the woods. I have a really cool project with Ecoflow coming out in January. It’s a new automatic home backup power system. Thanks Rodney! Take care!
@@HaxmanXTRA Cheers mate as for overlanders we call them grey nomads lol they are usually retirees who. Have sold their houses bought a caravan etc and go walkabout ( wander off) lol. I look forward to your project in January mate.
I don’t understand why you’d use any of the hoses when heating? It’s not a diesel heater with exhaust, so wouldn’t you want to continue recirculating/heating the same air? Drawing in cold air from the outside as your input and attempting to constantly heat that seems extremely inefficient. What am I missing?
wrong set up buddy, you’re always sucking in the hottest air from outside making the machine work at its maximum, take that intake tube off completely and allow the machine to use the progressively cooler air from inside the room, as it is cooled the machine doesn’t have to work as hard to cool the air and you’ll find you can turn it to eco mode in a short time where as your way you’ll never use eco mode as you’re always sucking in hot air from outside
@@dennisTHEmenac3 you are spot on with that mate, it’s minimal and you’ll find that your room or caravan is not a completely sealed unit and allows enough air in to compensate but if you’re in a spray booth that’s completely sealed you would slightly crack the furthest window away from the cooling unit and as low as possible, I’m lucky I have windows and vents everywhere in my van so I have one window just cracked, it does allow a slight flow of fresh air in which I want anyway but the cooling advantage is so much better especially when outside is 46 Celsius, the air con wouldn’t cool at all with the inlet outside
Got off work a couple of hours early and there's a Haxman XTRA?! Hell yeah

Thanks so much Jim! You as well!

So it doesn't heat when it's actually cold, that's kinda useless.
@@atnfnhonestly! I’m from Minnesota and it gets damn cold here, what’s the main purpose of the heating element? 😂
Does it stop when the A/C unit goes under 41F or when the intake air goes below that?
Should add some (black) screen door mesh screening over the whole panel in the window.
Definitely. I actually looked to see if I had any on hand but I didn’t.
Nice. I have been looking for something to take the edge off the temperature in my garage. This might be a little small, but I will look into it.
Best review I've watched for this product. Nice production. Thanks.
Hey Hax - Great job. Best of luck with the hounds & travel. Thumbs up.
Thanks Chuck!
Thank you for sharing!!! I have the same SmartCap installed with a Toyota Hilux.
I'm compiling a list for Christmas, may have to add this to it!
I’m going to do a gift idea video on the main channel next week!
Looked like you were having too much fun playing with the ductwork 😂
Sweet cutting with the laser...wow.

People are saying it won't heat in the winter temps is that true
The one with the A/C only function doesn’t actually work for cooling so hopefully the one with the heating system will work better for heating
Need a screen over the vent and 100% not staying in place if you are going 80mph going down the road. So might need a 3D printed holder

Needs a little bit face vent to keep the rain out
Great videos. 👍
put screens on the outside of the vents.

It's a 2 loop system. There's another video from another creator who explains it.
My take is that the thermostat in it doesn't work very well. You set it to 68F, and it went way over unless I missed something.
I set it to 86 although I may have misspoke in the video.
Eco flow is taking over all things
They do make a ton of stuff. I’m actually installing an automatic switching home backup power system from them tomorrow.

What about the negative air pressure created by doing your suggestion?
