How long did it take to get that treatment? Like, some people in this movie get stabbed in the same places as others and somehow live while others just die in what feels like seconds. I'm very disappointed in the fact they yet again took away deaths from the count.
I just saw Scream 6 yesterday and people were also clapping during moments at the end- I even joined in! It was just very exciting to see (without spoiling it too much) how the main characters succeeded or how they get back at the killers- it was a really cool experience
The problem I had with scream 5 was solved in scream 6. And they remade my favorite kill in the franchise and nailed it. Loved this movie and can’t wait for scream 7
The one thing I really liked about scream 4 was that they actually did leave 2 cops behind the main victim to make sure ghost face doesn’t come back. When Charlie mentioned that they should do that here I completely agree.

In a vast sea of really mid/shitty sequels to classic horror films, scream 6 was a breath of fresh air I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it tbh. Ghostface not being a bitch who falls over all the time in this film was also a welcome surprise Overall great self aware movie, good stuff for a modern horror film
To be fair, that girl from the slendeman stabbing who was 12 got stabbed 19 times and she survived her wounds. Adrenaline is not to be underestimated. While it isn't common, not everyone who is stabbed multiple times should be considered as good as dead. Love your videos Charlie. Hope I don't seem like an ass but I see too many people say this about some movies and TV shows and it's just not true.
It was good up until the reveal. I feel like the twist could've been way better. But overall I enjoyed it. I don't think there's been a bad Scream movie yet, I like them all.

Half the time my friend and I were simping over Jenna Ortega or laughing at the goofy dialogue, and the other half we were staring at each other like "what just happened?" Or "who was that again?". Overall, freaking awesome film and loved the theatrical experience.
Scream 5 was very meta and in a way that was actually shockingly great and not like "hey look, I'm a horror movie!" so I'm glad to hear that Scream 6 is the same. It's satire without becoming a comedy movie, which is a very hard thing to pull off.
@@areshorror it could easily lose the balance it’s supposed to strike, in many different ways. If you don’t understand why that is I just don’t think you’re paying attention to them

Yes, it's possible that Scream could just not introduce anything new and be a pointless sequel, but they aren't thinking about that, they are surprised that a movie is this meta when that is the whole point.

It's nice to know Charlie liked it. Sounds like this Scream went back to its roots from the first 2 movies. The 3rd was a dumpsterfire. 4th was decent and 5th was decent. Wished they fleshed out the other characters more. They kinda went a little too much with Sam's relation to Billy. In all movies I didn't expect who the killers were except in the 5th. But I didn't guess both. I guessed one of them right and when it was revealed I was like "HOW DID YOU NOT SEE IT COMING?!" Like Sid tells Jill not to trust anyone when she was kinda mentoring her on finding the killer in the 4th AND a character even said not to count out certain people in the 5th movie itself. I saw the trailer yesterday and the killer really seems revamped. I mean the mask is completely different from anything now AND he seems more realistic and just "I want to kill you" Instead of "I want to toy with you before I kill you" type of way. And judging by the trailer, it seems like they've done their research on the past killers.
Scream Franchise is very much a roller coaster in terms of their quality of their films. Mix of movies that are good and those that just tank the brand
I kinda disagree. Scream is probably the most consistent franchise in horror. I’m a Halloween fanatic but there’s probably only 6 Halloween movies that are good. Scream I feel like every movie is solid and if scream 3 is the worst out of the 6 then they’re doing something right.
The worst scream movie is 3, and that’s only sort of mid. The scream series has been shockingly consistent overall, especially when compared to other slashers. It helps that there’s always some new horror trend to lampoon.
3:56 someone at Radio Silence pointed this out and I agree with him. Even though one character would definitely be dead, I'm fine with the survival. Sometimes it's better to forget about logic for a while and keep fan favorites alive. And as for the fake out death, it was dramatic because we've seen this in 5 other Scream films. You can't just stab someone a couple times in the gut and expect fans of the franchise to believe that character is dead. You need to make people believe they really died, so there's more emotion. I tried to avoid spoilers, but if you've seen the film, you know who I'm talking about.
Hard agree the best part about Scream as a franchise is the phone call. It's part of why Scream 3 just doesn't HIT like the others. I have to say the BEST call has to be Kirby's first call. "I never said I was in YOUR closet." was BONE chilling. Could hear a PIN drop.
I can't believe Charlie is like Sonic The Hedgehog, he runs super fast to the movie theaters, finishes the movie and go on to his Moist Meter. This Guy is Insane!
Slashers like Ghost face just can't work too well if it's based in America. In real life if some crazed guy was hunting everyone you'd legit have everyone with an AR, a side arm and a spare, spare pea shooter on their ankle. Then ghost face would proceed to get capped.
They very much try that in this film. Ghostface dodges, runs, and then comes at the guy from behind, disarms him, and blows his head off with his own gun.
I haven't say this, but this version is kind of like Dbd's variant. It's kind of why (though I haven't seen the movie yet) that I love this one and dead by daylight's one so much. He's competent, extremely dangerous, and above all, not entirely humorous. Dead by daylights ghostface is a methodical killer, seeking whatever pride he can get out of every kill to fuel his massive, yet fragile ego. And whenever, however rare, he slips up, his real spite shows, and he's even more sadistic than ever. It's honestly funny, how such a competent killer becomes what the ghistface is best known for for a moment; funny... Then he goes right back to being terrifyingly spiteful.
Idk man. You've never been stabbed, and there are tons of videos online you can see of stabbings. Its not like a gun shot. Adrenaline hits, and you fight. Even if you're being stabbed "50 times", you're probably not feeling it much, and you're not going down right away like a shot to the face. Not to say that you're gonna live for sure, but stabbing is a very inefficient way to kill lol
I mean, the entire Scream series is meant to be meta, that’s what it is, a meta horror movie- if it’s not meta and full of tropes, it’s bad Scream writing. It literally has its own scary movie based on Scream called Stab, which is meta.
Just recently got into the last couple scream movies, I don't really enjoy older movies, and its the first horror series I've actually enjoyed the entire way through.
the ready or not references in this movie are amazing. obviously samara weaving is the first victim but the whole way she died was some really good irony. she was basically playing hide and seek with him (the roles being reversed in ready or not). the scene in the dollar store is also a hide and seek moment where ghostface has a shotgun which is the same weapon the family beared in ready or not. there is also a reference to the dress that she wears in ready or not in the subway: someone getting off was wearing it, bullet ammo and all.
It's not very good. Easily the worst acting of all the Scream films, Dermot Mulroney is particularly woeful. As Charlie points out, characters are stabbed multiple times & recover very quickly, that's just one of many seriously silly logic flaws. They even cheap out on the New York setting, most, maybe even all of it clearly isn't actually shot in New York. Scream 5 is much better, it delivered on much more shocks & memorable moments like Dewey's death for instance. Nothing majorly significant happened in 6.
To be fair to the police in that film, a lot of police departments deliberately pick candidates who are deemed smart enough to do their bare minimum, but not smart enough to question orders. As such, it’s totally believable that a lot of cops would act stupidly in an emergency.
For the stabbing it really depends on where you were stabbed, depth, and how (was it blunt, sharp, weirdly shapped/edged?). There was a woman who was stabbed in the back multiple times with a screwdriver and was able to slit her assailants throat and walk out of her home.

I agree with everything but I do like the meta parts personally because that is what scream is remembered for and it’s been a part of the movies ever since the first one. The character Randy introduced the whole meta thing and I think that all the movies being self aware is the best part of the movies for me.
Moist, this film was HORRIBLE. The ending was god awful. I'm shocked you aren't shitting on it, honestly. Her letting her friends bleed out while she performs the perfect "revenge kill" on the bad guy. So bad. So cheesy.
Melissa Barrera REALLY made this movie. All the core 4 were amazing. Hayden Panettierre was awesome. But Melissa was RUTHLESS and intense. The fact that she got called the weakest actor (which was always hilarious to me considering I had seen her in a lot of stuff besides Scream and I knew how awesome she was otherwise) for her performance in Scream 5, she has given THE best performance in the 6th movie by a considerable distance. Brilliant movie. Loved it.

The train scene was so Dang claustrophobic. Loved the tension they made there.

To be somewhat fair, previous movies have had police watching over the main characters and they always get smoked.
The first time I’ve ever seen Charlie do something like a fake out video end, that weirdly makes me even more excited for Scream 6!
Seeing this tonight I’m hella excited. Scream is by far my favorite slasher series of all time!!😁😁

The one thing I really liked about scream 4 was that they actually did leave 2 cops behind the main victim to make sure ghost face doesn’t come back.
When Charlie mentioned that they should do that here I completely agree.
Those cops got owned. Scream cops are always incompetent. It's like an alternate reality.
So many stomach stabbings in this one to the point where it’s like ok how has nobody died this way yet surely it would puncture something anything?

The fact that Chad survived after being stabbed a dozen times was just dumb.
Honestly other than the first movie this was the best one. The kills in this movie are INSANELY BRUTAL highly recommend going to see this the ending twist was also great
jesus hitting us with another vid
Can't believe Mindy straight up tells us exactly what the twist is in the beginning
I called it about 30 minutes in. I actually thought the movie was tricking me with that fake twist at the end and I almost bought it.
Im a NYer studying in Montreal and many scenes of this movie were filmed around my neighborhood and even outside my apartment! Really excited to see this movie
In a vast sea of really mid/shitty sequels to classic horror films, scream 6 was a breath of fresh air
I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it tbh. Ghostface not being a bitch who falls over all the time in this film was also a welcome surprise
Overall great self aware movie, good stuff for a modern horror film
Man, getting fed 12 ads in a 9 minute video feels great. There was even a Scream ad in there.
I enjoyed myself but was kinda let down due to critics hyping it up like it’s a masterpiece it’s definitely different but I expected more
The previews are actually hype for this movie I actually want to see it.
They did a justice to all movies in this movie. By far one of my favorite scream movies.
I just saw the movie and I have to agree. I actually would have preferred the false twist premise that was given at the very end.

Scream 5 was very meta and in a way that was actually shockingly great and not like "hey look, I'm a horror movie!" so I'm glad to hear that Scream 6 is the same.
It's satire without becoming a comedy movie, which is a very hard thing to pull off.
That is the whole point of Scream lol.

@DontGetSmacked- I don't think they are worried it is going to not have meta commentary if they don't understand that's the point of the franchise. Yes, it's possible that Scream could just not introduce anything new and be a pointless sequel, but they aren't thinking about that, they are surprised that a movie is this meta when that is the whole point.
Scream has officially taken the slasher crown back from Halloween.

The thing with the stabbings not doing much does seem like a bit of a theme with these movies
tbf the two people stabbing chad were wimpy but it was crazy that neither gale or chad died
I haven't seen your comic, but I hope it has success. It's always cool to see people strive to do what they're interested in.
After seeing the last movie I've been excited to see Scream VI. Love to see a horror franchise still remain relevant after x years of iterations
Scream Franchise is very much a roller coaster in terms of their quality of their films. Mix of movies that are good and those that just tank the brand
not really its actually a pretty consistent franchise with 3 being its low point still being enjoyable..
I kinda disagree. Scream is probably the most consistent franchise in horror. I’m a Halloween fanatic but there’s probably only 6 Halloween movies that are good. Scream I feel like every movie is solid and if scream 3 is the worst out of the 6 then they’re doing something right.
@@k8lemonade i liked 3 more than 4 ngl
The worst scream movie is 3, and that’s only sort of mid. The scream series has been shockingly consistent overall, especially when compared to other slashers.
It helps that there’s always some new horror trend to lampoon.
Strong disagree. Only horror franchise where it is consistent imo

This Guy is Insane!
chad inherited the dewey effect because he still wouldn't die even after being stabbed by 2 ghostface at the same time
The fact that this is the first time I’m hearing about this movie means that it delivered and that’s about it
when you find out you’re not the main character
Bro found out he isn’t the main character
You never heard of SCREAM??? Where have you been, man?
Nah you just live under a rock, the world doesn't revolve around you bro
You're probably a child if you haven't heard about SCREAM.
The cops not helping almost at all to capture a serial killer is scary accurate for how that's gone in the past
Horror movie getting a decent score is amazing, step forward
Thats a bodega... it's a liquor store, not a dollar store. Lol.

It’s fucking awful. Charlie has shit taste.
@@NoirFan84 it’s pretty good tbh.
@@WiredLain_ I'm amazed anyone thinks this but fair enough.
The love and care the directors have for this franchise is evident. I hope they stick with it until the end.
To be fair to the police in that film, a lot of police departments deliberately pick candidates who are deemed smart enough to do their bare minimum, but not smart enough to question orders. As such, it’s totally believable that a lot of cops would act stupidly in an emergency.
You misspelled "UA-cam commenter".
For the stabbing it really depends on where you were stabbed, depth, and how (was it blunt, sharp, weirdly shapped/edged?). There was a woman who was stabbed in the back multiple times with a screwdriver and was able to slit her assailants throat and walk out of her home.
Ghostface almost always stabs deep. Realistically the two people should've died.
If Charlie really ended the video 30 seconds in it would still be in my top 10 youtube videos of all time
Being meta is a dying trend and I love it
