It's just a light and fun song. This and "Heaven On The 7th Floor" remind me of each other.
Paul Nicholas!! Oh, uh, er......I have NO idea why I know that.
The instrument you're asking about is a Moog synthesizer, which was ubiquitous in all kinds of music in the '70s.
Thanks!
Loved this song back in the day....and STILL DO!! Blast from the past!!! Woo-hoo!!! 🤗
The 70s were full of innuendo. Being young and innocent back then, I didn’t always get it 🤣
I like that though. Now they slap you in the face with it. Repeatedly! Lol
I was a kid when this song came out. Back then I misheard the lyrics. Instead of, " midnight fantasy" I thought he said "midnight Tennessee". 🤣
Me too !
I third that , it does sound like midnight Tennessee.
Add another to the list. I've thought it was midnight Tennessee until 5 minutes ago.
Olivia was such a nice lady amazing voice one of the most special people I I cried when she passed away
The noise was made by a synthesizer. If you eve heard The Captain and Tennille's "Muskrat Love", they use the same thing for the muskrat noises, just pitched a bit higher.
I'm glad this made the cut Angela! You probably like it for whatever reason I like it. The summer it was a big hit, I was 13 year old young girl, and I would loudly sing along to it with glee. It wasn't until my late 30's when I heard it again, that I realized, and verified, it is indeed about a young boy discovering, well, the "M" word, and/or "special dreams" alone in his bed, learning what a sexual relationship with a girl would be like someday! That's mainly the reason it is a guilty pleasure now that I'm not that innocent naive girl anymore ! 🤭😊
The undeniable groove of Jeff Porcaro on drums and Lee Sklar on bass.
Wow do I ever miss 70's pop music! The world could use it right about now.
"...I said ooh ooh ooh whee, she said alright!..."
Great song, thanks who asked for this one, and for your regeret, having fun. A song from 1977, the 70`s.... had something special, picked Billboard chart that year. Nice reaction.
You're welcome; I'm not afraid to admit it 😁!
Love your reviews and reactions - great job. I remember this song VERY well - it came out in 1977, the year I retired from the United States Air Force (after 20 years) Have drank a few beers listing to this song. You're funny tonight. Thanks
Love the hair. Beautiful young lady emerges the beautiful woman
Good song !! Back in the day we had so much fun going to the dance clubs. No cell phones just good times . (To Shy) by Kajagoogoo is a catcy song that sticks in your mind once you hear it.
It was such a fun catchy song…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That sound is some kind of synthesized keyboard. Don't know exactly which one. I am guessing moog because of how far back this song comes from. Keith Emerson of Emerson Lake and Palmer was a pioneer in the use of synthesizers. He bought the 1st version of the moog which was a monster especially after he added to it. "Toccata" from the California Jam also features the 1st use of "Electric drums" That include a "repeater"
Great 70’s song!!
They first risqué lyrics I really understood.😆 "Steal Away", by Bobby Dupree, is in a similar vein.
So for the effects... The echo and gain to the microphones were played with in studio.
As for the song, it was actually about having a wet dream
Really. 🤭Gotta listen again.
When you take a deep dive into the lyrics this song is really about. Can't say that word on UA-cam.
you are on a roll, i think my aunt had the 45 lol,
Just simple fun pop music from a magical decade..the 70's
What a good throwback! The 70s were fun :)
Great guilty pleasure song. How about trying “Sentimental Lady” by Bob Welch? Not as upbeat at this one but similar fun-but-cheesy vibe and from the same rough timeframe.
Had this on a 45 in '77(?)
The transitions in this song. LOL
Great song! Alas, Alan left us in 2013 due to brain cancer. R.I.P. sir
The main instrument in this song is definitely a keyboard. Either one with built in sounds like the synthesizer or it could have been multiple keyboards….👍🏼👍🏼
Both his great songs (this and Angie Baby) were all about bedroom fantasies
Great song
You like this song because it's a great song, honey! That's all that matters. It was a great song back then and it's still a great song today. I hope your channel continues to grow, because you are precious and the songs you react to are awesome!
I haven't heard this so since the early 80s.
Whaaaat ... lol
really liked this tune growing up, it's kinda weird when u listen to the lyrics, but a fun one! keep on truckin' girl 😉
So you apparently have been going through all my 45's! 😂😂
I think this tune came out around the Disco era I dig it, but let me suggest Dream Weaver by Gary Wright! Another groovy tune!
love this song since i was 14
3/4 of Angela's guilty pleasure songs are great songs. Nothing to feel guilty about.
You should do live versions of meatloaf "two out of three ain't bad" and "you took the words right out of my mouth"
Randy Vanwarmer. Just When I Needed You Most. It's a beautiful song.
That instrument is a Moog Synthesizer .. spelled wrong ,,,, close enough,🎃🎸✌️🎼. It's catchy........
I think this is under the term "Bubble Gum" music. Made for pre-teen to 15 year old girls. Not making fun of it, it's an actual name or genre of music that was used in the record business.
Oh yeah!
If you do a Guilty Pleasure Part II
SILVER: "Wham Bam Shang-A- Lang"
One of my Favs Whaaaat' another tune to React too is Escape (the pina colada song) by Rupert Holmes.

You play awesome tunes..:) Check out Nick Lowe's "Cruel Too Be Kind".!
she is too cute
LOL!! I would swear a teen boy wrote this!
If "Highway to Heaven" had been a sitcom, this would be the perfect theme tune.
I've invented a TV series based on this song. And if I were a better writer, perhaps we'd all be watching it.
Thanks listen to Alan O Days song Angie Baby - Robin Fox
That's why it's a guilty pleasure...you like it but ..huh why?
Love your channel.

I ask God to cool my hotnesd
Catchy song, but it was always weird to have a hit song about the unspeakable 'M' word. Hopefully he found a real girl at some point. :)
The way I understand it, he does by the end of the song! "She said whaaat?" "I said get closer to me"
This song is about auto-eroticism.
Hey girl, what happened to your hair ?
Don't go changing to try and please me
You never let me down before, mmm
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore
I love you just the way you are.
Love that. 😘
@@DayOneReacts Please listen to ERIC CARMEN's " LOVE IS ALL THAT MATTERS " ua-cam.com/video/wA6Ztgr8vZc/v-deo.html. , Engelbert Humperdinck's " IL MONDO " ua-cam.com/video/TFtCN9nvQzc/v-deo.html. Best Regards !
Wh.....at?
I can't believe you're dissing Donna and me! What did we do to deserve that? Shame on you!
Yeahhhhhh, this was definitely one of my guilty pleasures back in the day. Of course, you'd NEVER find it in my playlist NOW. Nope. Nuh uh. Never.
Reactor lack luster in reactions
What do you mean?
Just wasted 30 seconds
