While in grad school in the late 70s at CSULB, my professor invited my class to his home in Huntington Beach, CA to meet and listen to Alan O' Day sing and play this song. Alan was a personal friend of our professor. We all sat in the living room while Alan talked to us, played the piano, and performed. I realize now how lucky we were to have had that up close experience. I recently bought a commercial CD collection that had this song on it. Absolutely wonderful!
Great song; great vocals! (still!); and great sense of humor! I woke-up with this song in my head (after what, 40 years?) and had to search youtube, and listen again. Glad I found it; thanks for posting! (And thanks for writing such a cool song.)
Love this Song -- I Think If After The First "What What What Ooooh We -- Maybe He Could Repeat That Phrase Once Or Twice And Get Funky With It Even More -- Like Some Of Rapping Thrown In There As Well Because This Song Is Really Fine.
I loved this song since I was a kid and I LOVED this video soooo much! Great performance! ❤🎉
I'm glad I found this version of it. I loved this song since 1977.
Miss the 70's and 80's. 😥
You and me both.
Alan O'Day is missed. This song takes me back to 1st grade.
