Minimalism doesn't mean having a completely black and white wardrobe or room that is void of color or personality. You can still own colorful expressive things that are true to your personality, but just be selective about what you own or how much you choose to have based on what you enjoy.

I think you took an extreme approach to minimalism. You could keep one artwork or photo framed on your wall where your desk is that you really really love as opposed to a gallery wall with a bunch together. I think that still counts as minimalism and it can liven up the room. Can also have your bedsheets in a color that you love like a calming blue without having a lot a throw pillows like most people do. Or a single plant that you can care for and watch it grow everyday.

Hey thanks for the feedback :) I definitely learnt that the hard way. If I were to do it again I don't think I would have gone so extreme. I like the idea about the plant though. Thanks for watching!

This is so trueee. Minimalism is beyond its aesthetic value it’s more on philosophy- therefore thinking about waste consumption, eliminating complicated habits , lifestyle meaning going out - less is more. Etcccc

I think you went about this in the wrong way. Minimalism does not mean get rid of everything, but rather, just get rid of the things that don't bring you any value/joy and clutter your space. This. would also apply to buying thing. Only buy things that bring you value/joy and don't clutter your space.

So many people say you doing minimalism wrong. Minimalisms flaw is it’s perfectionistic outcome.

Try a Wabi Sabi lifestyle. You keep and reuse what you value, and also try to be one with nature rather then fighting it to achieve a perfect outcome. Is it balance, by letting go. Minimalism and Maximilian is the extremes, Wabi Sabi is the centre of chaos and order with acceptance of life’s asymmetry.

Think you just googled the basic defnition and din't quite grasp the concept. Who said that you can't play games? And no brands or labels? You can have one Burberry trench because you use it all the time. Get good quality five tees than many because they are all the colours of the rainbow. Instead of just one set, you are allowed to have a set for two in case a friend comes visiting. Shouldn't one have at least a cup or mug or glass to offer water to a visitor? Decluttering is NOT MINIMALISM and extreme 'letting go' either. We're all inadvertently some sort of hoarders. The idea is to have essentials and whatever makes our lives calmer, organized, fuss free, and allows for focusing on the most important bits. Cheers!

I’ve learnt that the hard way unfortunately 😅 If I try it again in the future I won’t do it to the extreme I did this time and I’ll keep this in mind. Thanks for watching :)

I mean, I appreciated the effort… But, man you really stumbled through an entire month without any idea of what you are doing, just to summarize what minimalism is ACTUALLY about in a short sentence at the end of the video… But still glad you came to the right conclusion at the end… :)
Maybe you want to give it another try, but this time not focusing on getting rid of ALL the stuff day 1, but on actually figuring out, what brings you joy and what doesn’t…
Also, great video quality, keep it going! ☺️

Thanks for watching! I thought I would get more out of it by going all in but I guess not. I'll definitely consider giving it another go in the future in a less extreme way :)
