Thank you, Dr. Jasper. I took my reading and writing on July 20 and I passed both on the first try. I am not a good test taker by any means, but going over your study material and questions. Definitely prepared me for the exam. Lastly, I have the math which is going to be a very difficult challenge to say the least.

Dear Kathleen, thank you very much for a wonderful explanation! I'm only concerting about the short limits I will face in my writing test. I think 30 minutes is a very short amount of time to write a good essay. Hopefully, I will be alright and finish my essay within the given time.

this helps a lot with essays but what exactly is Praxis Core
I'm glad to hear that the information was helpful. Praxis Core is one of several sets of tests used for teacher certification in the United States. Depending on your state and the grade levels or subjects you intend to teach, you may also be required to take other Praxis exams in addition to the Praxis Core tests.

Your online course and videos have helped me tremendously; I answered 31 out of 34 grammar questions correctly yet I have to retake the writing portion as I froze up on the essays. I only did 1 of the 2 essays as I just kept on hitting continue and there was no going back. I am not even sure if my first essay was graded as I ran out of time when reviewing it???? Is there a button at the bottom of the page that one needs to hit??? I retake the writing portion at the end of the month.
Also, all of your math videos helped me ace that portion of the exam; I scored a 198.
I have shared your website with other colleagues taking exams. I commented to them that your voice echoed in my head as I worked my way through each question.

Well done on passing your tests. There usually is a button to hit submit for the writing. If you are running out of time, I would practice your writing before taking it again. There are several prompts in our book. You can set the timer and practice at home. Remember, less is more when it comes to the writing. Just answer the question, use specific examples, proof quickly without changing your whole essay, and submit. I hope this helps. Good luck!

I tend to write 4 paragraph essays: an intro, two body paragraphs, and a concluding paragraph. Is that frowned upon?
Not at all. Whether it is 3, 4, 5... all that matters is that it flows, is grammatically correct and supports your thesis. It is not graded on how many paragraphs you have, but the content of the essay. Good luck on your exam and thanks for watching our videos.
How many grammar questions do I need to get correct to pass if I don’t do well on the essays?

Hey Kathleen I took the praxis core couple weeks ago. I still did not receive my scores . I followed the layout of your other tutorial . This layout seems to be different . Would this be a perfect score of 6? I know the other tutorial is 4
Hi there, and thank you for watching. They are just different approaches. There is no way to know exactly what each one would be scored. There is no minimum paragraph or word count. I like to show people a variety of ways to meet the expectation. You can do a 4 or 3 paragraph essay. The most important thing is that you complete the task, use specific examples, and keep it organized. That can be done a variety of ways. I am sure you crushed it.
