I wish I had found these videos sooner. I had been putting off my Praxis tests for so long because I couldn't find any free guides to help. I found Kathleen and am so thankful! I passed the Core thanks to you!!! I am still going through your other videos to help with 5624 and 5857. Everyone had me terrified because it took them 4 or 5 tries to pass. It has been 38 years since high school 34 since college and I had all this information. Thank you again! Your approach makes it so much less stressful and manageable.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're happy to hear that our videos have been helpful to you in passing the Core Praxis test. It's never too late to pursue your goals, and we're glad we could assist you on your journey. Keep up the great work! ~Yiana Team Member at Kathleen Jasper LLC
Dr. Jasper, I just want to let you know that I passed my social studies/science/math elementary education praxis two weeks ago and I attribute the confidence and high scores to listening to your videos! You are a hero, and I know you've been through a lot to provide this for us. I have to take the Teaching Reading exam yet, I have your book and have listened to many of your videos. I honestly took it once and failed by one point--so frustrating--but I was functioning on 4 hours sleep. I'll do much better next time (and not pig out on sugar the night before, which is why I couldn't sleep!) THANK YOU so much for your amazing content and excellent delivery.
Thank you so much, Jodi. That means the world to me. Comments like this are why we keep going. Well done on passing your exams. We may have helped but you did the work. Good luck :)
Good afternoon! I am a new teacher… I need to take the PreK-3 test… I appreciate all the advices… please I would like to know the tittle of the book. Thank you so much!
I just started listening to your videos ! Excellent ! I am hoping to return to the classroom after a very looooonnggg hiatus in a different state ! Are you offering any webinars in the near future ?
Good morning 😃. I took my exam on Monday and guess what….🎉🎉🎉I PASSED IT ❤thank you for your videos. I use to hear you everyday everywhere 😅. God bless you 🥰. I will continue watching your videos, you have so much potential to share thank you again 🎉🎉🎉🎉😊
Update: I passed the TeXES 154 Bilingual supplemental--on my second try, and I want to thank you!!! I saved time, looking for bad words, finding good words like gold nuggets, Thank you!!!! My future, was truly depending on if i passed or not and two days later, I passed!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day. God bless you and helping people like me. Thank you.
Thank you so much! I just passed my EC391 English paper with a whopping 270! I had scored only 210 in my first attempt.. I just saw your videos pertaining to this subject and passed.. am truly grateful to you Ms. Kathleen!!.. I am still chasing my dream to become a Teacher.. and you are making it possible! Soon going to purchase your study guides :)
YES! Well done. I am working on a comprehensive guide for the EC-6 391. I hope to have it done by the end of the year. I am writing like crazy. Thanks for watching and letting me know how you did.
I wish I came across this before I started studying…but still a game changer. I am taking my exam tomorrow and now feel at ease. Thank you for this !!!
You are a godsend! I passed my Esol GACE after watching this video and implementing it along with your preparation guide . I literally had a couple of days to prepare. Thank you.
Hi Kathleen, I just wanted to say I used your videos as a study guide for the NYS teacher certification exam for literacy. I just got my score. I passed. Thank you for helping us teachers pass the certification exams.
I am literally in love with your videos … the content is something that I have never come across before . I am a student teacher and all of your videos I have seen so far is like one college coursework in college . Thank you so much for the work you do 💕
Hi Dr. Jasper, I wanted to let you know that I have been struggling to pass my PA teacher's certification exam in Early Childhood and Special Education. However, after watching and reviewing ALL your videos, I am happy to say I am certified in teaching!! Thank you for helping educators across the country pass their exam by giving them your knowledge and expertise to do well on any state test! I will continue to watch more of your videos as I take my next step in my teaching career!
passed my LBS1; on the first attempt, the Illinois 155 test using your study guide, good words & bad words, and special education playlists. Her study guides go in depth with all facets of special education and numerous practice question scenarios, that correlated well with the state exam. I would highly recommend her free resources and study guide, as they are affordable and the real deal! Because of you, I was confident with selecting the appropriate choices on the exam! Thank you so much!
A colleague of mine had just shared your videos to me. Thank you so much for your valuable guidance on how to pass all kinds of exams. The Good and Bad words strategy did help me to large extent; I was pressed for time, and I was able to pass the ESOL. Thank you so much for your educational videos.
Used your study guide for the Praxis Sped Core and it was amazing. Your videos, especially good words/bad words, then helped me pass the subject area 5383 Praxis. I love your clear and understandable teaching style. I don't know what I would have done without you, thank you!!
I’m so happy to say that I just passed my LSB1 here in Illinois using good and bad words. Thanks for Your help. I’ll be passing this video to everyone.
Hello! If you do not mind me asking, can you tell me what sources you used to pass the Praxis 5039? Was this video a big help in helping you pass also?
Dear Dr. Jasper, I wanted to express my gratitude for the video that you shared. I watched it almost ten times before taking the AZ36 test, and it helped me tremendously. Even though your test prep was not specifically for my test, it still provided me with valuable insights that were applicable to my exam! I understand your frustration, especially with this test. Remember when taking this test you have to put yourself in a "perfect world" mindset. Hello Kathleen, I recently received my TEXES 231 English Language Arts 7-12 exam. The minimal requirement to pass is a 240. I received a 233. I retake my exam in 30 days. Any advice you can give me to ensure I am successful will be very much appreciated!
I found your videos as I was searching for help on the Gace Sped Adaptive Curriculum. Even though you don’t touch on this exam I took it today after studying for 5 days but having 15 years of experience in the field. Your good words bad words, working backwards and many of your other videos help tremendously. I passed my assessment on the Professional level. Thanks for being a great resource for those who are trying our best to meet the needs of students.
I was surprised that you said that grouping homogenously is usually not good to do. I thought this was generally good and a part of differentiation, like when students are assigned to reading groups at the beginning of the year. They can become part of different groups if they fall behind or get ahead, but this allows them to have explicit instruction on the reading skills they are struggling with. Would love to hear more thoughts on this
Hi there, I say at 20:58 that you will use homogeneous groups to apply interventions or differentiate instruction. However, you do not want to keep kids in homogenous groups based on skill level. I say in the video that this should be temporary.
It would be a great service to education if you did a series on "How to Teach Teaching." Your videos are the most useful resources I have found. You get straight to the point, and give clear relevant examples. I don't know why, but all the other teacher training material I have found spends forever not getting to the point and is lacking in practical information. If all teacher training material were as well executed as yours, I wouldn't have been pulling my hair out the last year getting my license.
I appreciate the feedback and your kind words. My instruction is a reflection of what I wanted when I was going through the certification process. I like your "How to Teach Teaching" suggestion and will take it into consideration. Thanks for watching and best of luck on your exam.
This is completely unrelated to the video, but because you were talking about Lt. Uhura(She was the Communications Officer on the Bridge) and Star Trek, the episode "Plato's Stepchildren" is credited as having the first interracial kiss (Lt. Uhura and Capt. Kirk) on American Network Televisions in history. It aired in 1968. Just a need little fact to share as a "sort-of" Trekkie. Related to the video, Thank you, your videos are always helpful and very insightful. I'm about to be taking my FORT exam in a few minutes and this is one of my final test preps that I'm reviewing before I sign in within the next hour.
Hi there. Thanks for sharing that interesting fact. We're glad you found the videos helpful and best of luck on your FORT exam. You’ve got this! 😊 ~Kathy Customer Support at Kathleen Jasper LLC
Thank you so much. We do have a playlist for the Praxis Math 5161 which is similar to the 6-12. Thanks for watching and commenting :) ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNzx9gIRo-uKBjAm-D7gMjCS.html
Valuable information! I will definitely use these tips when I take my exam. As a life long Star Trek fan, I’m compelled to correct the reference to cultural responsiveness. The character who inspired Whoopi Goldberg was Lt. Nyota Uhura brought to life by Nichelle Nichols. Not Aurora. Live long and Prosper.🖖
Unfortunately, we do not have resources for that. You can check all our videos here: www.youtube.com/@KathleenJasperEdD ~Yiana Team Member at Kathleen Jasper LLC
Wonderful information! And Uhura was a communications officer on the Enterprise, so that was an incredibly important job for a black woman of that time! 😊 Her name is pronounced "oo-hoo-ra" not Aurora. Just helping!
Thank you. Yes, I butchered the name. Not a Treky. I am more of a documentary watcher lol. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
Great help thanks ! I would add under questions about vocabulary that you use a CLOZE test that keeps coming up good word to look for. I am sure the star trek fans have been in you about her name already lol. Loved that story
Fewer than 50% of people pass their teacher certifications the first time. Many people have to take the exams multiple times. They are not easy. Keep going. You will pass. I have a study guide for the Praxis 5039 which is high school ELA. You can learn more about it here: kathleenjasper.com/products/praxis-5039-english-language-arts-content-and-analysis-digital-book
We prepare people for the Praxis exams. I do not have anything specific for the New York test. However, I do have a special education program. You can fin that here: kathleenjasper.com/collections/praxis-special-education-5354-and-5543 Both of these books are the same, except the 5543 has a writing component.
Can you please do a video on praxis 5024 Education of young Children exam. I find that alots of persons are doing this exam but there is not lots of resources on this exam.
Yes for sure. Those two tests have a lot of scenario questions, especially about reading in the early grades. We have comprehensive courses and study guides for both of those exams. We also have webinars and more UA-cam videos as well. Here are a few links: 5025: kathleenjasper.com/collections/praxis-early-childhood-5025 5205: kathleenjasper.com/products/praxis-teaching-reading-5205-digital-study-guide Teaching Reading Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNyCIAXtlGrYWe6hBcfBZNaH.html Hope that helps. Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
How about conflict with students and how to cope with this situation. Im a barber instructor and we still have adult learners, and theres alot about "Conflict Management " or how to deal with the students who are "smarter then teachers" or late comers troubled adults, disruption from these type adult learners. The book has nothing to do with teaching in hair, yet it so much more like being a classroom type instructor style learners.
Those are definitely challenging. One thing I find helpful when teaching adults is to set norms and procedures just like you would with students. Perhaps you go over the norms before starting, or maybe you agree to norms as a class. Another thing that helps is to have explicit expectations for every class. A list of outcomes or objectives helps. When people know exactly what is expected, they will often adhere to that. When expectations are ambiguous or unclear, people get restless and act out, even adults. I will do another video no this. However, I do have a classroom management playlist. This is for school-aged kids, but it can be used for all students. ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNyxh0UKjW_weiyEphpjNgzl.html
Yes absolutely. You may also want to check out our Special ED playlist too. Thanks for watching. ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNyT4D3hBxbxidUlcl8dzwmn.html
Yes. Using our good words and bad words strategy will help you think like a test maker and pass your exam. You pass these exams by being strategic. Here is a list of the good words and bad words mentioned in the video. Good Words: Standards Alignment Data-Driven Differentiated Instruction Critical thinking Culturally responsive Student Centered Vocabulary in context Authentic learning experiences Bad Words: Extra homework Extrinsic rewards Anything negative English only Vocab - copying from a dictionary Multiple-choice test Homogeneous Grouping ~Yiana Team Member at Kathleen Jasper LLC
Do you have a webinar for the praxis 5206 or can I just watch all your reading webinars that are already posted? I’m guessing all the reading skills are similar.
We do not have 5206 but we have 5031, which is similar. Check out our “Teaching Reading” playlist. There are some videos there that will definitely help you. Thanks for watching!
Hi ! Do these good words/bad words work with the 190 for the OAE as well ? I used your strategies for my 012 and I will tell you, I never felt so confident in taking a test before because I would always get either 210 or 212 and you need 220 to pass but using your strategies I never felt so confident working backwards and using the good words/ bad words!!
I have your book for 5039. I brought it from Amazon. I have a question, what other videos will help me on 5039? I watched work backward, good words/bad words, and using the study companion to help study. I am at my wit's end and I am extremely tired of taking the 5039 and 5733.
We have a full online course for 5733. It is extremely comprehensive. I am working on a few videos for the 5038 and 5039 for youtube. What is giving you the most trouble with 5039?
Hi there. We do not have test preparation for the FTCE. We focus on the praxis exams. There are many similarities among teacher certification exams regardless of state. However, our materials are aligned with the ETS exam blueprints and test specifications for the Praxis exams. Here are a few other of our most popular playlists: Test Strategy Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNx6O8mmZLaqhWtZPsHUZ04v.html Teaching Reading Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNzOOH2PpGJaVLFbW1Nzlybe.html Math Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNwlKYroqVO6b_PApLdqUY-K.html How to Become a Highly Effective Educator Playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNwM4R9OzKLUFKV9nJMFdZdS.html ~Kathy Customer Support at Kathleen Jasper LLC
Thank you so much for watching and clarifying. I am not a Trekkie but I do remember her, and was always moved by Whoopi Goldberg's explanation of how she felt when she saw Uhura for the first time.
Hello, I would like to know how do you apply good words, bad words a teacher certificate for Science, Social Studies, Physical Education and Fine Arts? I am referring to the Texas ECS-6 191 Test.
Hi there, it is the same. However, the science social science and PE are very content focused. For PE, good words include life-long fitness, inclusion, explicit instruction, safety and health. We just did a whole thing on science and social science. Here is our middle school science playlist ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNxBap1RibSb_UqZmRydNuw3.html. Here are some videos for social science: ua-cam.com/video/XRsKj07dOdE/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/mvWVzVrCLkQ/v-deo.html
@@KathleenJasperEdD I took the Texas EC-6 191 passed the English but failed the SS, SC, PE, and Fine Arts. Then, I took the Sped 163 and failed by one question and toom the PPR and failed by two questions. We are working on TExES resources. We are starting the with the EC-6 (391). A video for that will be out today. It is for ELAR though and will help you for sure. So be sure to check t out.
This video will help you with all of those. But going into your test specifications is going to help you most. Watch this video for how to do that. The methods in tis video will help you with any exam. Good luck! ua-cam.com/video/5LN5ZcGPtos/v-deo.html
Yes we have a few videos. Check out the playlists below. EC-6 playlist: ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNzBK7DijeypYZwLLkXJzB2M.html Also, the PPR is a lot like the PLT. So use this playlist for the PPR: ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNzxQRLnMxzPx2AjBM9XaGJK.html
The strategies in this video will help with any test. However, the SS 7-12 is very content heavy. You have to look over your study companion. This video will show you how. ua-cam.com/video/Cxyv35EApvs/v-deo.html We also have a few social science videos, and I am working on filming more. ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNzxFuTPvOkRxXrQdiENf7dZ.html Hope this helps!

I am taking my PPR EC-12 tomorrow and this is very helpful. Thank you!
Good luck, I am sure you will do fine. Thanks for watching.
how did you do queen ?

Your videos were very helpful to me. I was able to pass my PPR exam ♥️

Well done! Thank is awesome.
Your videos helped me pass my texes Ed diag exam with flying colors. Thank you!
That is wonderful. Well done!
You are amazing! Our educational system would be the BEST in the world if all teachers were like you. God bless you
That is such a nice thing to say. Thank you so much :)
I'm taking my FTCE English Area exam next week. I'm loving your videos. Thanks for all the resources!
My pleasure. Thank you for watching.
Thank you for mentioning Lieutenant Uhoora . I believe I am going to pass the praxis this time. You have been so much help. 🙂
I believe you will pass this time as well, thanks for watching.
Nichelle Nichols as Lt. Uhura.
You are a QUEEN! Thank you so much.
Well thank you very much. It is my pleasure. Thanks for watching :)
Thanks prof. JasperKathleen!
My pleasure :)
Thank you for this video. I found it to be very informative and inspirational
My pleasure, glad I was able to help. Thanks for watching.
Very Knowledgeable content
Thanks for watching.

Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching :)
Just to be accurate....it was Ohura. Nyota Ohura was Nichelle Nichol's character name on Star Trek.
You are amazing! I want to watch all your videos. I hope you have some for the FTCE 6-12 Mathematics 🙏🏽
Thank you so much. We do have a playlist for the Praxis Math 5161 which is similar to the 6-12. Thanks for watching and commenting :) ua-cam.com/play/PLBtoj0Jl2SNzx9gIRo-uKBjAm-D7gMjCS.html
Valuable information! I will definitely use these tips when I take my exam. As a life long Star Trek fan, I’m compelled to correct the reference to cultural responsiveness. The character who inspired Whoopi Goldberg was Lt. Nyota Uhura brought to life by Nichelle Nichols. Not Aurora. Live long and Prosper.🖖
Best of luck on your exam, and may you live long and prosper. 🖖

Thank you for helping teachers.
It's my pleasure. I love what I do. I'm a teacher just like you all :)
@@KathleenJasperEdD I just pass my FTCE Reading test using your NAVA Ed book. It really helps. I took the test yesterday...Thank you again.
Great help thanks ! I would add under questions about vocabulary that you use a CLOZE test that keeps coming up good word to look for. I am sure the star trek fans have been in you about her name already lol. Loved that story
Would love to see something on Praxis 5051 Technology Education
You are an amazing teacher. I'm feel really dejected after not passing the ELAR 7-12 exam. Running out of time. 😢
Thank you for your videos
My pleasure, thanks for watching.
Do you have the study guide for the New York special education test in your prep books? I am interested in getting one.
We prepare people for the Praxis exams. I do not have anything specific for the New York test. However, I do have a special education program. You can fin that here: kathleenjasper.com/collections/praxis-special-education-5354-and-5543
Both of these books are the same, except the 5543 has a writing component.
Can you please do a video on praxis 5024 Education of young Children exam. I find that alots of persons are doing this exam but there is not lots of resources on this exam.
At the moment, I don’t have anything for the 5024. But I will put it on my list. Thank you so much for watching. Have a great day.
Thank you for this amazing video!
Our pleasure! Thank you for watching. :)
Your videos are very informative. That being said, will the good and bad words work on Praxis 5025 & 5205? Thank you for your help!
Yes for sure. Those two tests have a lot of scenario questions, especially about reading in the early grades. We have comprehensive courses and study guides for both of those exams. We also have webinars and more UA-cam videos as well. Here are a few links:
5025: kathleenjasper.com/collections/praxis-early-childhood-5025

Super helpful!! Do you have anything similar to the ftce English 6-12
Glad I could help. Unfortunately, I do not have anything for the English 6-12 specifically. Thanks for watching.
Great 😊 video. Thank you
I shared this with my study group.
Awesome! Thank you so much.

Yes absolutely. You may also want to check out our Special ED playlist too. Thanks for watching.

Thank you 🙏 ❤️
It's my pleasure. Look for those good words!
Thank you!

Yes this strategy works especially well with the 190 and OAE. Well done on the 012 😊
Hi, is this video good for the EC-6 391 TEXES exam, STR, PPR, and ESL exams?
These are good strategies for any teacher certification assessment.
Yes! These work for all exams. I am working on some Texas material. So stay tuned!
@@KathleenJasperEdD thank you. I tried on some practice questions and it was very helpful
@@mahysi6290 thanks
I have your book for 5039. I brought it from Amazon. I have a question, what other videos will help me on 5039? I watched work backward, good words/bad words, and using the study companion to help study. I am at my wit's end and I am extremely tired of taking the 5039 and 5733.
We have a full online course for 5733. It is extremely comprehensive. I am working on a few videos for the 5038 and 5039 for youtube. What is giving you the most trouble with 5039?
@@KathleenJasperEdD listening, speaking and a little bit of reading.
I am planning on taking FTCE subject matter English 6-12…does the Praxis English Language Arts Content knowledge study guide help?
Hi there. We do not have test preparation for the FTCE. We focus on the praxis exams. There are many similarities among teacher certification exams regardless of state. However, our materials are aligned with the ETS exam blueprints and test specifications for the Praxis exams.

The Star Trek character was Uhuru
I am not a Trekie but I thought it was Uhuru too.
Uhura on Star Trek was in charge of Communications.

We are working on TExES resources. We are starting the with the EC-6 (391). A video for that will be out today. It is for ELAR though and will help you for sure. So be sure to check t out.
Any advice out there if after 3 attempts, I am missing the 5543 Special Ed Mild Moderate by 2/3 points?
Is there videos of good words/ bad words for the TExES Core for Social Studies, ELA, Math, Fine Arts, and Science?
