How can I get ready for the English Language GK test? I want to have resources.
You have to be kidding me! Everything my English teacher said just clicked. I used to look right through her, and I would understand maybe 15% of what she was teaching. Look at my sentence. It has two independent clauses. 'I used to look right through her.' 'I would understand maybe 15% of what she was teaching.' A comma after 'her,' (a punctuation to weak by itself to separate two independent clauses) 'AND' (the coordinated conjunction known as F.A.N.B.O.Y.S.=For, And, Nor, But, Or, Yet, So, connected with the punctuation to properly separate the two independent clauses) together create the proper and strong punctuation to separate two independent clauses. Or, I can dump the comma and the conjunction 'AND' by replacing it with a semicolon creating a stand alone strong punctuation, separating my two independent clauses. It would read like this instead, "I used to look right through her; I would understand maybe 15% of what she was teaching." Who else is deconstructing their own written sentence after this study here in the comments. lol!
Also if this helps anyone, 'Failure is Feedback'. I remind myself of this phrase if I don't pass the first time.

Hi, I have taken this test 4x and can't pass. This is the only test on missing to do my student teaching.Can you provide me with more suggestions to accomplish this. Thanks
Dr. Jasper, this would be my fifth time taking the praxis writing (GACE) test. Which one of your books would you recommend to buy. I did all your 3 UA-cam video. I felt great however, my score was 225 Please help!
It’s ok. Lots of people struggle with this. I would suggest our Writing Digital course. It has videos for all the questions in the MC in our book, and it has detailed videos for the essay. Hi, I have a question about the Writting. I recently just took it, and failed by 2 points. Needed a 162, and got a 160. How do they grade? Was I only off by one question? Your videos are very helpful, and I am going to keep trying!
It is difficult to accurately predict a score on the writing. However, there are 2 sections: the multiple choice and the writing. I have a blog that explains this. You can read it here: kathleenjasper.com/blogs/news/how-to-calculate-your-praxis-score
I know the feeling, failed the math by 2pts
Took the praxis writing and failed the multiple choice horribly. I received 11 out of 34 correct. However, I received a 19 out of 24 on the writing. How does this happen? I am so disgusted with this test ! :(
Definitely use our videos for Grammar and get that multiple choice up. You can do it.

i got a 10-34 on MC and a 19 as well on the writing i was so upset with myself

@@Jazzyykeepitbanging i got 15/34 on mc and a 15/25 on essays and i didnt pass. I had a hard time with my second essay but i re-took it last week and i feel alot better about the essays since i finished and think i wrote good work. The multiple choice though is probably gonna make or break me so fingers crossed when i get my score
