9th option: let the ice cream melt over your hand as you talk to the person you rear-ended, and act increasingly more uncomfortable with this predicament
10th option: the 7th/8th options, except instead of acting like the cone is/was the driver, act as if the real driver had the cone and left it behind while running away. "Geez, he booked it out of here. Oh me? No, not my car. Ooh hey, free ice cream."
11th option: move to shotgun and have the person you rear ended get in your car's drivers seat, making them look like the perpetrator
by far the most likely scenario lol
That is option 1 for anyone with social anxiety. Pretty sure that would be my exact reaction

As a Type 1 Diabetic who would be FORCED to eat the ice cream since I would’ve bolused for it already, this is my worst nightmare.

1:13 to 1:20 I love the look of the *STONE COLD STARE* as they eat the ice cream. Ice cream with threatening aura. The thought of someone rear ending me, then they give a death glare while eating ice cream would make me not involve the cops, the insurance, or anyone. I would just count myself as lucky that I survived this encounter with an obvious assassin.

@@geothebio I'm glad BusketPosket asked and you clarified, because I ONE HUNDRED PERCENT thought a blindfolded travis was being surrounded by a myriad of severed tongues gently falling around him, which I interpreted as him being some kind of Joey-Chestnut-esque savant of guzzling things, and the tongues were meant to represent his mastery of gobbling. Or alternatively he is directly responsible for the severing of his opponent's tongues as he engaged in a specific competition where the rules stipulate that the loser of each round has their tongue cut out.
That is what the image at 2:46 conveyed to me, and while it was a wild time living in that reality where Travis is so nonchalant about his competitive eating victories and his large collection of foes' tongues ...honestly the world feels a bit safer knowing that this was all a misunderstanding and they're just flower petals :)

I gotta say, Im always impressed by your character design. what sort of process do you go through for it, or is it just on a whim. the random question asker in this one is so rad and fashionable, but at the same time looks like a person I would actually see in real life. are these OC's? do they have names? im so curious
most of them are random! however this one was inspired by an outfit that i actually own myself haha!

It took me about 15 seconds to remember what MBMBAM segment this was an animation of, but the moment I did I was delighted to realize some one animated this gem.
This is nonironically why I ask for a cup when I get an ice cream from McDonald's. I love eating it normally, but I also love to to turn it over and/or gently crush the cone as a waffle topping in the sundae cup JUST to avoid awkwardly holding an ice cream cone😭

Reminds me about a coversation w/ my mum where I said I worried about wearing cat ears while driving cause what if I got in an accident and then I have to remember to take them off before talking to the other person which I think might send me mentally to the deep end of absurdity. Or end up in an ambulance in cat ears. She thought I should have other worries but frankly if I can remove even a small worry from my plate I'll take it
Option 5 reminds me of the girl in my high school who hit multiple cars in the student parking lot and every time it happened she would get out of car and be like "you're okay", give a thumbs up, and drive away without giving the person she hit any contact or insurance info

I've always enjoyed art but you (and kindoflinc) made me actually start practicing doodling and drawing because what you make is so beautiful and sweet and expressive. Eventhough I'm a bit embarassed that I'm in my mid 30's and only starting now haha.
I think it'll be worth it to some day be able to draw the McElroy's and TAZ characters.
It’s never too late to start. Doodling is fun and a good stress reliever.

I can't believe no one thought of simply asking the other party to hold the ice cream cone. Now they suddenly realize exactly what's at stake for you, they can feel the weight dripping down their fingers. They will be so eager to get this over with they might just let you go.

Real talk though if you're ever responsible for an auto accident then you better not also present that you were eating food while doing that. You won't just be paying for the property damage but could easily be hit with a Reckless Endangerment charge which is a misdemeanor in most states that I know of.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the odds of a wreck due to eating and driving go up by 80 percent. Under Georgia state law, reckless driving is a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of up to $1,000 and possibly one year in jail. A motorist could also face points on his license or even the loss of driving privileges. Penalties can be greater if there are other charges involved.
If the other person involved in the crash were to die, then the fact you were eating food while this happened would mean you absolutely could be tried for involuntary manslaughter in the state of Georgia at least.
So, maybe option number 10 : Pray they're not dead, leave the ice-cream in the cup holder, and hope it doesn't come up as evidence towards the fact you legitimately are responsible for endangering yourself and others.
I feel that this is the big point they glossed over for comedy, the person writing is definitely in the wrong. Even if you aren't actively eating, you should never be driving with something in your hand that prevents you from using both hands to operate the vehicle.
Seriously. More people die because of distracted drivers than drunk ones at this point, but I guess because we've collectively decided that Only Bad People Drink Alcohol Ever but obviously everybody eats, nobody actually gives a shit about distracted driving until someone actually does die.
Okay, okay, hold on one second. The asker does not say they were eating the cone when this happened, nor did they say that they were going to be eating it while driving. They got in the accident pulling out of the drive-through, and seemingly had not begun eating it yet. Yes, their priorities are not amazing, but they were not recklessly endangering anyone by having an ice cream cone in the car. It is entirely possible they were going to save it in their cup holder until they got home, but were concerned that the collision would take so long to sort out it would melt.
Also, I somehow doubt that this was any kind of crash where someone was potentially injured or killed; they called it a “fender bender” and, as someone who’s gotten into an accident pulling out of a drive-thru restaurant, their car could not have been moving fast enough to do THAT much damage.
@@sorio99 Driving a moving vehicle with one hand and part of your focus otherwise occupied is a huge issue even without actively eating.
If they were going to put it in a cupholder the question would not have been asked in the first place and it isn't like they couldn't have understood the issue of ordering ice cream while driving ahead of time.
The severity of the resulting accident is not the issue here. The decisions leading up to that point and continued focus on the insignificant ice cream rather than throwing it away when a much larger issue came up both paint a picture of someone who is not responsible enough to be allowed to drive.
@@jazzy4830 What about having the ice cream in the cup holder means that question wouldn't have been asked? Like it would melt if dealing with insurance and all that took too long, cup holders aren't freezers last I checked.
