If I saw a bowl of candy and a tray of homemade brownies at work, I'd automatically give the brownie maker more credit bc that's obviously way harder to do than, as Justin so eloquently put it, "opening a plastic bag....and upending it into a bowl"
Baked goods are also automatically seen as higher value-regardless of which one an individual person prefers-because of our ability to see caloric value in different foods. And the person in the community who is able to provide and willing to share the highest-calorie resources for the group will be seen as indispensable. This question’s got evolutionary now. We’re playing with primate brains here bay-bee

I gotta say, I always dig the little designs you do for the question askers, especially since it’s real subtle, and completely unacknowledged.
Today’s was a treat. The twin braids, bolo tie, boots, belt buckle and jeans makes them look like a business-casual cowboy, an aesthetic I could only dream of pulling off so well.
I would totally rock Griffins shirt. I work with a couple people who also have IBS and we could be a crew

For anyone reading the above phrase, you specifically need to read it in the voice of an Amish character from the 90's cartoon Pinky and the Brain: namely, the episode in which the eponymous mice visit an Amish community that raises a new barn every night.
I lost it at Travis as an old-time-y, Willie Wonka-esque carnival barker unveiling the "whimsical contraption" that is Griffin's body.
I feel like I say this every time, but you are SO GOOD at using slight variations in shapes and palette to make each character unique, plus they have a developed-enough aesthetic that the viewer recognizes them as an individual with their own backstory and motivations.
So we not only get these nuggets of joy that are your animations, but then there’s the whole Geo-verse full of new McElroy-adjacent people ☺️ I love it so much!!!

I'm a teacher. We've discussed more than once how easily it would be to just poison all of us at once by sneaking brownies into our staff room. If I see treats there, I just eat them. No thought, no hesitation, just chomps.
I think the strat is to leave a small (signed) handwritten note indicating the presence or absence of nuts in the brownies under the guise of allergy concern.

I don't know how you do it, but your characters are always the cutest. Especially the ladies. And unlike some artists, they all have such a distinct look from each other. Brownie lady looks way different from 5:22 crowd lady who looks different from the haunted fishin' hole lady and so on. Such unique looks for each. Just another reason I love your work!

When I heard this bit, I thought Travis was just suddenly going off on a tangent, but just now I realized that "Snickers and Smarties" means something different to me, a Canadian, than to Justin and Travis, Americans. American Smarties/Canadian Rockets are trash tier to begin with, let alone mixed with chocolate.
I once had a mixed bag of Halloween candy that had Twizzlers in it, and they somehow tainted everything else, even through the wrappers. I sampled some of the chocolate and tasted cherry Twizzler, it was the worst!

Nah I get it. You see a table of candy and brownies and it's like "ding ding ding jackpot! Treat day!" I think they'd only get recognition if you offered them around the office in person.

I'm with Griffin. Like, most of my coworkers I'd expect to be upstanding, clean, non-experimental treatsmiths, but I'm still suspicious of home made goods. Packaged candies mass produced from shady corporations have never betrayed my digestive system.

I'm so disappointed that they didn't think of the obvious solution: eat all the good candies before anyone else notices. Then your brownies actually look BETTER in comparison to half a bowl of licorice and pillow mints.
Not to distract from the jokes, but the obvious solution is to just bake brownies more than once.
Eventually you become That Person Who Makes the Good Brownies.
the best thing about these animations is that they reward multiple watches because there are so many fun things hidden throughout

I gotta agree that if I see a bowl of candy and a tray of brownies my brain would go "oh neat, snacks!", but I don't really see the issue there.
I would eat both. The brownies still get enjoyed.
Half the joy I derive from these videos is seeing all of the fun character design work and environmental details you put into these videos. I always watch them at least twice, pausing to take everything in as a scene changes the second time through. Such an amazing, fleshed-out world you've built for these bits.

Honestly, Travis is right. You can't mix fruit sweets and chocolate sweets. A lady at my office, she's a sweetheart bless her soul, BUT.. she brings giant bags of smarties/starburst and throws it into the candy bowl of chocolates. And I swear, I cannot eat a piece of starburst or a chocolate bar without tasting the aforementioned candy. Words of wisdom, Travis. Words of wisdom.

One of my favorite things to do is to look at the episode title and try to guess who said the joke. And for this ep I KNEW that there was going to be an extended bit of Justin roasting Griffin about his irritable bowels
At 1:58, it looks like the brothers are going to curb stomp the employee who brought in candy, and I love it.
I just need to tell your work is so impressive - especially the expressions and body language. Even if the sound's off I'm able to get the gist of what's going on (which given some of the clips that you've chosen to animate is quite an accomplishment). I am in awe or your talent and your hard work! X

The last time we wait a long time for the newest GeoTheBio animatic, we got a 10 minute animation of a FANTASTIC mbmbam moment. It was flawless. Beautiful. I was so happy.

I’d just be a weirdo and during lunch, with an uncomfortable bluntness, just say I something like “oh bugger, I brought brownies so people might like me more, but the candies are getting in the way” place it on the table, and walk away without making any eye contact.
I love how these always start off with some relatively normal answers and then they suddenly start going off the deep end, plotting evil schemes to fix the problem-in this case, removing the candy bowl from the equation all together. It’s just so funny to me lol

you GOTTA eliminate the candy from the equation. no question. if u put the brownies out next to the candy, u have to split the treat credit and if u bring brownies in te next day, it seems like u stole the candy persons idea. u could “accidentally” destroy the candy bowl, OR even better, you steal the candy, replace it w brownies, then bring the candy out the next day and pass it off as your own so that u have now treated the office twice in a row. u will make one major enemy of the person who brought the candy, but everyone else will love you so much that it balances out

I think the real solution to this is, you make one of those 3x4 cards that says like, the ingredients or whatever, and a little :) at the bottom with a nice message and then people will be like “aw! So and so made such a nice little treat for us!” And tou can then direct people liek “oh hey i made brownies for you all btw! Theyre in the break room!” And then they asume YOU left the candy not the other way around. Double credit.

Genuinely forgot smarties weren't chocolate in america. We call them rockets/sweettarts here in canada and our smarties are like, mnm's but flatter and worse.
