I pulled in in 84, 85, 87 & 88. I always left San Diego around October and returned 6 months later in March. We escorted the Kitty Hawk, Midway and USS Iowa. I don't remember much, but we had a ships party at the Florida Club

@11:34 you went past the Fish and Chips shop on the left, they did really decent breakfasts and other stuff, unfortunately they closed permanently at the end of September.
That area might get crazy once again. I think the US Navy has an eye on the Korean shipyard that went out of business in 2019. Closer to Barrio Barretto than Olongapo
So glad happy I found your channel and I'm getting ready to do the same thing you're doing into or those same places no doubt and where do you stash your cash I'm plan on bringing $10,000 over
I didn't bring a ton of cash. Maybe a $1000. Navy Federal Credit Union ATM only takes 1% (I think) And the Thai bank might take $4. Today I have a Thai bank account. I have to wire money from the US into the Thai account. They also have a credit/atm card from Charles Schwab that refunds all atm fees from the foreign bank.
@@EagerExpat thank you very much. I have a time bank account my bank in America charges me 3% when I pull money? Back in 1983❤1984 used to hang out in Barrio Barreto Samurai massage then head to Subic City to Marylins Bar for smiles

Oh man, I hate to see a business close. Especially a good spot. I live in Bangkok. Just visiting the old Navy liberty port. Thanks for watching
Really enjoying your videos I loved Barrio. I'm going back October before we go Pattaya in June.
Cool man. Thanks for watching. Angeles City video soon. I'm kicking back at a cool little bar in Bangkok as I write.

Any information on the three new Navy Bases in the North?
Only what I read online. I'd bet they take the shipyard the Koreans left in 2019
