On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" a pair of spooky boots has arrived to steal the show! Tune in for ghosts, ghouls and definitely, probably, no skeletons!
35 minutes in, Seth, Phil, and Richard fighting amongst themselves while the Scarab god player sits there, menacingly. Crim can't keep getting away with it!
Playing pithing needle naming lethal vapors was such a play in my old control deck. Force a turn skip or safety for a long time while digging for a win con.
I had an Army of Darkness theme deck that I made. I used Thraximundar as the commander as Evil Ash (or more like what Evil Ash becomes near the end of the movie). I used Kamahl, Pit Fighter in the deck as Ash because he’s red and his sword looks like it has chainsaw teeth on it. Fireshrieker was included for the shotgun. Made up of mostly skeletons. Evil Twin in there for flavor. I thought it would be a steaming pile, but I destroyed everyone else. Mainly because Thraximundar is crazy strong
its interesting to see how different people play on the same ideas. i cheated and played yore tiller as my commander as a representative of the kandarian demon. and ash was always norin in my deck since him with his little sling shot running from most fights just felt fitting. the rest of the deck were demons, and theft spells
Crim incorrectly said that Linda is the one trapped in the cellar in Evil Dead. It is actually Ash's sister Cheryl that is trapped in the cellar. Linda gets her head taken off by a shovel.
Loved the decks this week. The Saw deck was such a cool take on the franchise, creepy children managed to pull out a great theme deck with so few cards that could match, the costume deck using clones and stealing effects was inspired, and the zombie deck was a good zombie deck
Yo, could y’all have whoever’s perspective it is to zoom in on each card that’s played so that we can read it? Kinda confusing when no one says the name of the card and they don’t zoom in. Gracias
I feel like the best number Richard could choose in the Goblin game is 0, since even losing half of his life he still went to 5, which is actually higher than 2.
As a Seizan player, Iron Maiden, Black Vise and Viseling are the cards Seth is thinking of that punish having many cards in hand. The other effects like The Rack, Wheel of Torture, and Rackling are designed to kill opponents when they're hellbent.
i’ve had an idea for an evil dead deck for a while, but i was gonna do Syr Gwyn, Hero of ASHvale. then load the deck with zombie knights, chainsaw and shotgun like equipment and go to town.
I love when y'all do silly theme decks because a lot of interesting cards feature that wouldn't otherwise (also this is my favorite episode of the season so far)!
So along the not so deadly saw experience idea, I have thought about opening an escape room company you can hire to "kidnap" you at any point within a certain timeframe, and once you get where they are going, it's just an escape room
At 00:46:00ish Crim says the funniest thing I've ever heard from him....he claims his deck has synergies.....we know you Crim, you build a pile of salt and stick it together with some counterspells and decent creatures every week, don't claim that's real synergy! 😂 .....Phil outsalted everyone this week tho
Let s talk about it. I played a lot and the only thing it did for me was just a propaganda effect. No one is gonna trowh 2 damage at you. Generaly the kill me first. If ihave to choose i ll go with mind s eye
@@DiabloTommaso I find it a little bit better than Propaganda. If your opponent isn't doing anything, they often try and get some chip damage through your defenses. They don't if you have Mask instead.
@@PalPlays yes but why do you play this card? If you see it as a propaganda style is okysh but i see it as a card draw engine so it s a bit underwhelming
@@DiabloTommaso It's a propaganda that works against indirect damage effects. Sometimes you aren't losing in the attack step, but rather to the Torbran deck pinging you to death.
I absolutely love your games, and I don't know how much of this is just for the sake of entertaining content, but man oh man do Richard and Seth have a tendency to focus on killing someone if possible, when in multiplayer part of 'playing to your outs' can often be leaving weak players alive to take out the person in the lead. There are times where its appropriate to remove other players because they represent an unknown variable, but in this game they just "kingmade" Phil so much as a result lol. Also as a result I found myself agreeing with Crim waaaaay too much for my comfort hahahaha. Good games friends!
Seth and Richard dominated in theme. King Narfi by Crim’s own word was an Ash but he went with the dull Scarab God. Phil’s deck was the biggest reach ever. He had a clever theme with the invitationals and masks but none of the thefts were justified. Really a wet fart of a theme from the Costume Party deck. Still it was a good game.
@2:10:00 Crim trying so hard to help Richard and Richard stabbing him in the back. Watching Crim's struggle feels bad since I don't think he's playing cards like Notion Thief.
I feel like Phil's decks just seem to be consistently built stronger than everyone else. Like for this theme week he had about 10 percent of a theme, and then just threw in a bunch of good cards that are barely related.
Nah, he's big on theme and flavour. In my opinion, Crim is the one who just builds the same decks every week. This week I know he sold it as Army of the Dead, but it was just a zombie deck
@@AceCombatant to me it seemed like the Evil Dead deck was just a differently tuned zombie deck, which is okay but nothing exciting. Phil took an idea of a costume deck and ran with it - every card was pretending to be something else. I got full flavour from Phil, even if Sen Triplets happened to fit that flavour
I mean evil dead is a zombie movie, so naturally it would be zombie centric. The part that gets me is that when making themes I appreciate that Crim has assigned meanings to individual cards in his deck; I feel that things like this show thought was put in with a dedication to a theme. Phil was more on the lines of, people dress up as werewolves so here is a werewolf, or I took your creature thus theme right? It just feels lazy when you were supposed to tie your deck to the theme. I feel Crim actively picked his cards, Phil just had Edhrec make a list for him
is you stack all of the handsize related damage iirc you take 1 damage with exactly 3 cards in and and any more or less ticks it up in various ways. its an interesting way to try and build a burn deck.
I was just as confused as Crim when Richard targeted him with the pariah, instead of Phil with the triplets lol the ormendahl lifelink could’ve kept him out of lich drain range. Great game and great flavor all around! I think I enjoyed watching Seth’s deck the most
It was a good call. Everyone at the table knows that Crim plays pushed cards and will run away with the game if not kept in check. I loved watching Phil's deck the most as he took what seemed like an impossible theme (costume party) and made a great deck out of it :)
You have to bid at least 1. It might have been better for Richard to bid 2, in which case he would drop to 4. But it looks like he bid 8 and Seth bid 7, so Seth then lost another 7.
That was a frustrating game to watch. Richard's speed of play, threat assessment, and logic of decisions was rough. Figure it out. I felt bad for Crim. He just wanted to get someone with the Vorpal Sword.
The correct answer for Richard was to choose 0. He then would lose life equal to the amount he chose, which would be zero, and then loses half his life, putting him at 5. This is the best outcome for him.
To be fair to the spiral movie. They specifically didn’t want to be a horror movie. They wanted a cop comedy within the saw universe. But because the studio needing horror and the Halloween release date for the saw name so they made some agreements. It’s not good and has an identity crisis due to studio conflict… again. Like horror movies deal with this all the time
Why no Children of Korlis in Richard's deck? Its has the words "Sacrifice Children" printed right on it!
Everyone else: "Yay! Halloween!"
Richard: "I'm here to murder children."
Murder WITH children, thank you :P
Jigsaw: I want to play a game.
Seth: Ok.
Jigsaw: Do you pay the one for Rhystic Study?
Everyone but Seth: Nooooo!
You win, sir.
To be fair, Seth would also say no.
Man I really love Seth's commitment to the Halloween spirit. Wearing that sasquatch costume the whole game.
Crim: I am the worst punter in MTGO history!
Phil: Hold my costumes.
Seth: What is this thing on the card 'Oubliette?'
It's... it's an oubliette.
Was waiting for Phil to accidently cast damnation or supreme verdict in the end.
On this week of "Punt or Bluff?" a pair of spooky boots has arrived to steal the show! Tune in for ghosts, ghouls and definitely, probably, no skeletons!
I love "punt or bluff" keep it going m80
The editor is super inspired this days!! Clash on boys
35 minutes in, Seth, Phil, and Richard fighting amongst themselves while the Scarab god player sits there, menacingly.
Crim can't keep getting away with it!
An oubliette is a secret dungeon with access only through a trapdoor in its ceiling. Usually used for high value prisoners.
With extra fun spikes sometimes on the floor.
what is a high value prisoner? are you holding people for ransom?
Phil has officially joined the Goldfish grindset lmao Tomer would be proud.
The fighting children discussion makes me think of the scene in It's always sunny where Mac and Charlie go back and beat the kids up. 😂
I really hope that at the end of the season we get a montage of all the times Crim skipped his turn or punted with his mouse clicking 😂😂😂
Me too thanks
Phil's shirts and costumes have been a constant source of joy!
Playing pithing needle naming lethal vapors was such a play in my old control deck. Force a turn skip or safety for a long time while digging for a win con.
sick intro
Agreed
The editor's KILLING it with the new opening touches, looks awesome!
Phil: "If they want to print a werewolf, they just print a werewolf; not a guy in a werewolf suit."
Shadowbeast Sighting: :'(
I read an article about OG Innistrad, and apparently Trepenation Blade is the MTG equivalent of a chainsaw.
I love this idea because it's not just another zombie deck
Crim incorrectly said that Linda is the one trapped in the cellar in Evil Dead. It is actually Ash's sister Cheryl that is trapped in the cellar. Linda gets her head taken off by a shovel.

Has Seth heard about Escape Rooms? Because sounds like he is describing the thrill of an escape room as something purely hypothetical.
Yo, could y’all have whoever’s perspective it is to zoom in on each card that’s played so that we can read it? Kinda confusing when no one says the name of the card and they don’t zoom in. Gracias
I‘m honestly very curious how many times Richard has actually had Dowsing Dagger in the first 3 turns. Just hilarious 😂
I feel like the best number Richard could choose in the Goblin game is 0, since even losing half of his life he still went to 5, which is actually higher than 2.
Goblin Game says you have to hide at least one item, but I agree, he should have chosen the lowest number possible.
I just started the video and whoever made the intro needs a raise and a shoutout.
Crim, the Evil Dead themed deck was so on point! "This is my BOOM stick!"
1:53:13
Phil is describing Commandeer.
I really want a "Number of turns Crim skipped" in the stats episode.
Whoever did the intro deserves a cookie.
As a Seizan player, Iron Maiden, Black Vise and Viseling are the cards Seth is thinking of that punish having many cards in hand. The other effects like The Rack, Wheel of Torture, and Rackling are designed to kill opponents when they're hellbent.
I have all of those plus Ebony owl netsuke and Skullcage in the same deck because hand size matters.
"Oubliette is a .99 cent card...for now."
*Thanks for the Content* !
Oubliette is a French prison. where they literally throw you in a pit and forget about you.
That intro was outstanding!
i’ve had an idea for an evil dead deck for a while, but i was gonna do Syr Gwyn, Hero of ASHvale. then load the deck with zombie knights, chainsaw and shotgun like equipment and go to town.
Automatic favorite, due to the inclusion of Evil Dead. I loved it so much I named my son Ash William
He's got the Williams chin, but does he have the Williams balls?
I assume the Judge Promo of Demonic Tutor (creepy child on it) costs too many tix on MTGO?!
I love when y'all do silly theme decks because a lot of interesting cards feature that wouldn't otherwise (also this is my favorite episode of the season so far)!
I feel like an opportunity to use Children of the Corn as a title was slightly missed here lol.
Everyone else: makes a fun themed deck
Phil: chooses violence
As someone with an evil dead tattoo I respect crim even more
So along the not so deadly saw experience idea, I have thought about opening an escape room company you can hire to "kidnap" you at any point within a certain timeframe, and once you get where they are going, it's just an escape room
a) Phil, I think I am falling in love with you
b) AWESOME INTRO!
Oubliette: A place for forgetting
lol so true
I can't believe it wasn't called "Commander Slash"
At 00:46:00ish Crim says the funniest thing I've ever heard from him....he claims his deck has synergies.....we know you Crim, you build a pile of salt and stick it together with some counterspells and decent creatures every week, don't claim that's real synergy! 😂 .....Phil outsalted everyone this week tho
Loved that Phil's salt was part of the cool theme of his deck
Crim with the wrong turn.... You absolutely should have given the child of alara to seth, what a trick!
This has been the best episode of commander clash ever
YES GUYS! Farsight Mask is criminally underplayed. I discovered it when brewing 5 CMC Tribal and instantly fell in love.
Let s talk about it. I played a lot and the only thing it did for me was just a propaganda effect. No one is gonna trowh 2 damage at you. Generaly the kill me first. If ihave to choose i ll go with mind s eye

Will you guys play with Prosper Tome Bound one time? Pleeeeeeease!
The crew would love to, but it's up to Wizards to add him to Magic Online first...
Is Phil a model or something similar?
Creepy children but no judge demonic tutor??
CLASH ON!
"maybe richard is getting old" I feel you. hahaha that's me half the time I play commander
Seth has played that wheel wrong twice now. Lol
Watching them learn that Oubliette is GG in commander live was fun.

No trepanation blade in the evil dead deck? It was apparently designed top-down as a chainsaw.
Trepanation Blade was actually designed as a top-down Chainsaw. Not one of Innistrad's most memorable cards (despite being a Richard Garfield design)
Amazing episode.
I think the Episode number is wrong in the title.
Crim could be do some next level playes at 1:33:35. Give the child to Seth.
Clash on is the best thing that happened this year!
Phil would have done 10240 damage if the giselas had lived. Would've been so sweet
That intro was awesome!! Did Brewer's Kitchen create that for this one?
Those late game punts were amazing
I love the edit at the start!!

Phil's deck to me kinda felt like he just took Sen Triplet's Edhrec page, flipped the commanders, and called it thematic
I believe Phil was thinking of Narset’s Reversal. copies a spell then puts the original back in its owners hand. Has Narset gesturing in the art.
Now I want to build an Evil Dead deck
Incredible trailer intro! :D

I couldn't disagree more adam. Crim had explanations to go with his card choices, while Phil's deck seems ripped straight off the Sen Triplet's edhrec

Amazing intro
The real question for Crim about his deck is.
Where is the Boomstick?
Love the trailer
intro was pretty dope
I love seeing Crim win... But I also love seeing him say Clash On. Oh well...
... just sitting here waiting on Crim to cast the VS and destroy their hopes and dreams.

Well, with the number he chose, he ended up at 4 but Seth also lost half of his life, so I don't think that was a punt
You have to bid at least 1, so 4 is the most he could've ended up with, assuming everyone else would bid at least 5.
Richard worked hard to earn that 2nd place in this game.
