I like the fact that you can make the rub and save in a big jar. The possibilities of this rub on other meats is endless. Thankyou Chris 😀
my pleasure Kim
Thank you for sharing your gift. May it return tenfold.
I made the seasoning mixture but added smoked paprika. I tell you it was the BEST!!!!The flavor is absolutely amazing. I marinated my wings in the seasoning rub overnight in plastic bags in the frig. I baked it in the oven and....it was perfect! I love your recipes. I hope you continue to share your knowledge. :)
Avis…thank you for mentioning that you marinated the chicken in the rub overnight…I was wondering if it should marinate before grilling.
Love how you explain the seasons ur my go to for pro tip
Most of the videos I watch don’t explain seasons there already pre-maid
Keep up the good work
Nice plant
love me some basil
@@caribbeanpot thought it was a tomato?
Thought was I alone who spot it 😂
Nice plant on the side

Garnish for the jerk chicken lol
Another excellent rub I can make and give as gifts! Thanks Chris.

Hi, Chris! I had Jerk Chicken while visiting Jamaica 30 years ago and it was so amazing. I've tried many versions in restaurants here in the states over the years but they didn't come close to that chicken in Jamaica. Can't wait to try this. Thank You for this recipe!
Thanks for making it easy and accessible Chris! My kitchen is my back garden in NYC. 💙🤘
enjoy

Waaaa Gwan Chris , 2 questions, what temperature is your grill at when you place the chicken down for the first time ? And at what point did you move the chicken closer to the middle of the grill doe the direct heat ?
it was 325 for the most part yea. I went closer to the heat source after about 1 hr 15 mins. to start adding color and a little kiss of char
Hey, great video!! Question: I know this is dry rub but which do you think is better the dry rub or the same fresh ingredients?? Thx
to be honest - I prefer fresh.. but that is a different recipe. As I like adding olive oil, soy sauce and a citrus or fruit juice of some sort.. plus honey
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 you did it again Uncle Chris. I can’t wait to try it. Mine will be in the oven unfortunately. I have some ribs in the fridge. I’m trying this tomorrow 😜😜😜😜.

Jody from Miami sends

Love the weed plant in the background 😂
What will you serve with your chicken? I don't have a grill and will be making mine in the oven. What temperature and for how long should it cook?
I'd have to leave out the pepper flakes or use more mild ones coz my stomach is really sensitive to spicy things, but this chicken looks so good! When Lay's brand brought out the Jerk flavored chips, I liked those, so I can only imagine what actual jerk chicken is like. The catnip plant next to your grill is looking good, by the way. I don't partake anymore, but it's pretty.
Hi Chris, I am sorry but you could send the link for making the pepper flakes please? I looked through the list but I can't seem to find it. Thank you.

Looks really good. Cheers, Chris!
thanks Dwayne
How long do you let the dry rub sit on the chicken before cooking?
wow the food looks great save me a plate :)
New subscriber here. Great video
Definitely prefer the jerk rub over jerk sauce. I spent some time in Kingston years ago and the dry rub jerk protein in the steel drum grills was amazing. Since then, it seems most places I've visited in the US give you sauce, which is ok, but not as robust in flavor.
What bush growing next to the grill?
Hi Chris just wanted to know we're U pickup the smoke pigtails
Can't find it in Brampton
I recently made my first batch of jerked seasoning and it was good! I plan to try this dry rub recipe and I'm looking forward to tasting it. Where can I find your procedure for dehydrating the scotch bonnet peppers?
caribbeanpot.com
I wonder. Add sauce or green seasoning at end if you've novices to dry rub. You know how people expect BBQ sauce (wet) in America. Would you recommend the green seasoning as a last brush and flip for people or some other of 'sauce' you make? After scotch bonnet in rub they might burn up on green seasoning or is it milder than the other sauce you might recommend? It's the American pallet weakness one has t accommodate at a 'cookout' where the expectation is BBQ and cold slaw, 😃. Thank you Chris. I will keep mine true jerk!
You can always make a sauce for those who like it "wet"
Thanks xx will try this
enjoy
Is that light brown sugar?
Thanks for sharing 👍🏽
my pleasure
Doing this tonight!
nice.. enjoy
you are the man
thx kindly
Dont forget to add pimento wood chips or use pimento wood charcoal. for authenticity
providing you can source it. Paying over 30$ for a small bag is not worth it IMHO. Wet some apple wood and add some bay leaves to a foil pouch - great flavor
Is it possible to get the recipe in text form?
Chris your garden👁️👁️
coming along nicely
Seems excellent! I just wouldn't have the patience to wait two hours for it to cook...
lol @ weed plant in background when he is putting the chicken on the grill...
The lady in the back sounds like my Guyanese mom lmaooo
You looking to make me go do jerk chicken for breakfast now 👍🏽🇻🇮
What accent is that? Not a Jamaican accent. Trini? Pastor Stewart?
love the plants. you know it would be a great idea to show how to cut up the chicken for the grill. I tried to use the knife and chop the meat into bite size pieces but it didn't work. i cold use help.
ok, I'll try to get a video done soon ok
@@caribbeanpot Yes please. I would love to see how to hack up the quarters after grilling.
