At the start of the year I asked 4 guests and the audience to predict what would happen in the 2022 season and we're back to see how everyone did. It... was a mixed bag.

You may notices points ticking up randomly about half an hour in. That's just an animation error. The points are ultimately correct, but I missed a keyframe so they ticked up during the course of the discussion instead of suddenly at the end. The actual result is still correct.
So, when do fans that do say that they want to see their points final in email?
How many components did Alpine use? 56:40 I assume that's a typo and they *are* second.
Is it correct? As far as i remember Mazepin drove the least amount of laps followed by De Vries and Hülkenberg. So the audience should have won it.

I initially thought Hazel had gone mad selecting India for a sprint race. I had no idea this is what the flag of Miami looks like.
I was wondering through most of the show whether I’d missed a joke about Miami being India but apparently the flag is very similar.

As an american even seeing a city flag is so weird to me. If anything we are used to state flags, very rarely does a city/town even have a flag
@@sparksk8erost American cities have flags, but most are pretty bad and are not flown frequently. The only major exception I can think of is Chicago, who’s city flag is everywhere

I think next year you should do "true or false" near the start. It's a bit anticlimactic.

I would love to see each section's points be separated as by the time you get to the last few questions of the last section, you know how is going to win
So rather than see who is winning overall, you can see who is winning that round
Points overall should be what is used though

Deffo can keep you on the edge of your seat with who wins and make a spectacle of who wins each section and if that's enough to make them win out over the opponents
Might be a little more work and make the video longer next year, but I would welcome that change - no harm in testing that either right ?
Love the videos all you guys make, I definitely wouldn't be as clued in with F1 events/technical understanding/everything really if it wasn't for you guys

I hate when the season ends, and then I remember I get to watch the pre-season challenge results show! It’s not quite a race weekend, but it’s always a nice year end treat!
Thank you so much for making these every year! Looking back at the predictions at the end of the year, both yours and my own, really puts the season in perspective. As always, it's also obvious that you put a lot of time and effort into making these videos, from coming up with the questions, polling the audience and the great presentations. I can't wait for next year.
Opinion: the Haas on day 3 of Barcelona testing (the simplest design) was the best livery of the season
Where is Stuart? He hasn't uploaded any video since this one, and has been quiet on Twitter for an unusually long time. I hope he's doing well and just taking some well deserved time off.

I scored 289 points however, I dropped 55 points (and the individual audience member win) in the question regarding races with most DNFs. I misread the question and only chose 1 race instead of 3! I would've chosen Jeddah and Singapore in addition to Baku as these are races of attrition but oh well, I'll take the win in my rookie year!

5:15 "nobody got any points"... apart from Latifi, who did score points!
There seems to be issue with score, I started to notice it around 35:15 where Jonty's, the Audience's and then Dan's points keep increasing by 1, happens about 15-20 seconds apart each time.

I played along at the start of the season, and ended up with a total of 281 points, and were 1 different pole sitter away from another 29 (predicted 7 different pole sitters and there were 6). Really enjoy playing along with these!

Small suggestion though - maybe make DNFs worth 3 points, not 5, next time. That was a pretty big point scorer.

Hey! I think there was one question from the googleform before the start of the season that was missed in the video. After comparing averages starting positions of Stroll and Vettel, there was an extra question worth 5 points to select which one of Stroll and Vettel will actually be higher. Otherwise amazing video, always looking forward to it before and after the season! :)

Great content as always! I know how much work goes into these, and its deeply appreciated! A cool idea might be to show clips of funny guesses from the original predictions, I could see some of those being hilarious, hearing the replays could add a lot!
I want to say that I originally voted for mazepin not to be included in the fewest racing laps question, but upon reflection I don't think it was correct.
I can't quite remember how you phrased the poll, but I think you lumped mazepin and subs to lumped together. I don't think that subs like hulkenberg and devries should have counted, but in some ways the people who guessed mazepin did so based on all his flaws as a driver, which ultimately was the reason he didn't do any laps. I think they should have been awarded points, or the question should just have been removed.
Maybe it would be interesting for next season if you ask them some of the questions again after seeing the cars or maybe even after testing and maybe after x amount of races and then compare how they adjusted

I'm in bed with the flu right now and have been bored out of my mind. So excited that you posted this!
This year I decided to do the predictions as well and I'm pretty pleased with 233 points. It was so fun relating to you guys haha and laughing at my predictions.
Got 259 points. Had some bonkers luck with the DNFs picking Baku, Saudi and Singapore. Baku could've easily been just 1 DNF, but then we had the hat-trick of sudden DNFs in 5 minutes.

I got 271 in total, got that same DNF luck, I predicted as my bold prediction haas will get 7th and i scored it myself as 35 points if it came true and it did so my score might be slightly off depending on how the audience woud have rated my bold prediction.

I’m sorry but the Alfa Romeo was the best looking car all year. That shade of red plus the white and the touch of green from the 4 leaf clover on top of the engine cover was just beautiful.
With the car flips I've seen in the past year in F1. Got me thinking about when Nascar briefly had a wing on the car, and they seen a large increase of times the car became air born. Then put back their traditional spoiler, and the car was happy again I just wonder if F1 should look at something similar.
Every year I make screenshots of my answers and compare them.
This year I got 244 points. Again not winning. Even behind the average of the audience with a few points.

F1 needs to start giving points for 11-20. I want to see and root for Williams or Alfa. Who cares if they even finish the races when they don't get points anyway...? 0 for DNFs to encourage reliability.

I think I did rellay well until the DNF round. Only got 40 points from that but still scored 272 points. I think that overall this was my best year although I was over optimistic with Latifi.

I scored 185 - really lost out on the 1st round and the retirements.
I got 177 points, so Dan outscored me by 1 point. If that doesn't make him feel better about his results, I don't know what will.
I wouldn’t blame Mercedes’ engine spend in 2021 on shonkiness… it was more part of their strategy to beat Max.
Hey Chain Bear. You like data.. Do teams actually get closer to each other over the years with fixed regulations?
The Ferrari was gorgeous, close second but I think the Alfa Romeo took the cake - stunning looking car, particularly from the sides.
Look, we can hate on the special liveries all we want, but McLaren's floral one at year's end was pretty nice. Not as good as their Gulf one, but if they were going to go with a new title sponsor in their livery, I'd love to see that carry over.
As a McLaren fan, I wholeheartedly agree their livery looked absolutely horrendous this year

238 for me. Actually felt like a better result than that but I guess doing well on Yuki's points with 10 wasn't all that helpful :D
I got 256 - scored massive points by nailing the sprints and unreliables, but missed out by overrating Aston Martin and underrating Alfa Romeo/Alpine.
Ok 265... Reliability cost me oh.... so much... Picked Hungary and Mazepin. On the other hand I chose the Shumacher Q3 so that was very lucky bump for me.

Agree with the assessment of the audience's reaction to Alpine's car design.
The 2021 livery was just such a classy design. I don't know how well it rates in the highly objective and scientific 'Best Liveries of all time' league, but it looked like a fantastic place to start from at least.
The 2022 livery was just a fairly average one, but the delta in classiness was so great that it was voted on how disappointing it was.
Happy with my score of 267 this year but gotta try get top spot next year!
