Hi Stacey and thanks for watching. Yes there is, they call it 'Dress to Impress'. Dates are not generally advertised beforehand but if you get the App then all the events and dress codes appear in the App a few days before the cruise. Apart from Dress to Impress night Royal aren't really that big on theme nights.
Great video! Just wanted to ask about the pillows on pacific encounter. If they are feather or not? My husband is allergic to feathers. Thanks for sharing :)
hi Suzie :) excuse me 'sticking my nose in', but with a potentially serious health matter concerning allergic reactions, it might be just as well to contact pacific encounter directly to get their confirmation, either way, in writing. extra reassurance and also useful just in case, god forbid, an issue with feathers does materialise and you decide to seek recourse... but that's just my opinion. happy travels :)
@@walkietalkietraveller2932 Hi and no problem with commenting. We absolutely agree with you. The pillows we had were not feather but we can't speak for all the cabins on the ship so, as you suggest and with any matters which could be health related, we would always suggest speaking to the cruise line.
Hi guys love your videos and tips - can you tell me what cruising from 3 nights is like in July , i have not cruised before and am a tad anxious. Many Thanks: Karen
Hi Karen. We love the 3 nighters as it's like combining a holiday and a long weekend all in one. Which cruise are you thinking of in July? We are on the 3 night comedy cruise with P&O from Brisbane and if it's the same one we would love to meet up and make you feel more comfortable. If you let us know what you are anxious about we are more than happy to answer any questions you have.
Hi guys we are doing the comedy cruise from Sydney what a shame we wont be able to meet , as i have never cruised before due to suffering from motion sickness i am trying to figure out how to hopefully minimise the effects. We booked a cabin in centre of ship on deck 10 and i am going to take an arsenal of medication. I am looking forward to it but that little niggle of what have i done. 🦋
Hi Karen. If worse comes to worse and you can't get rid of the motion sickness go to see the medical centre. There is an injection that they can give you which is absolutely brilliant. You have to pay for it but it's worth it. Some friends of ours were just on a 9 day cruise and she was as sick as a dog for the first 5 days. I suggested she get the jab and she enjoyed the remaining 4. Last I heard, which was pre-COVID, it was around AU$100 but definitely worth checking out if nothing else works.
Hi Kathy. Generally speaking yes you do. Any cash put on your card on the ship that you don't spend you will get back. Be careful though with anything put on pre-cruise. With Carnival, for example, if you pre-load cash then you might not get it back.
Hi Jonathan and thanks for watching. The App connects to the ship's wifi which you do not pay for. You do not, however, get internet access so you can't do anything other than use what the ship puts out over their wifi. If you want to use internet services then you have to pay for that. Hope this helps.
You two are so enjoyable to watch. Thanks for posting!
Thanks Bryan.
Awesome tips
Great info and loving the bloopers lol :)
Thanks Jo. We're thinking we might make this a regular feature. Where we have them, of course.
You are both fantastic! Thank you!!

Is it true you can buy the drinks package on encounter at the ice cream bar?

Great information Rob and Ali

On quantum of the seas is there a set formal night? When do you find this information out prior to departing?
Im interested in knowing this too

Question?? When you put cash on the cruise card and you don’t spend it all can you get back the money not spent?

So, if your using the app during the cruise does that mean having to pay for the onboard wifi for the duration?
