Snakeheads are not the only fish that eat baby ducks. Largemouth Bass do, Northern Pike do. Just about any fish that can fit one in its mouth will eat one.
Those were BEAUTIFUL peacock bass though. Pretty decent size too for just little ponds. I was even getting frustrated for you, lol. I've never used those to fish with but it looked infuriating! That snakehead though was big too for a pond. Someone is clearly feeding them lol
I have some experience with fishing I caught a 15 pound lake trout so I advise you to just let it sit there and then when you see one real close to it and wait and fish really like weeds they don’t just sit right in the open unless the water is deep
I got me a northern snake on a duck but it wasn't the one you were using It was the smaller one with hooks like a frog rather then that crazy big one with the treble hook
Hopefully IF you manage to catch a Snakehead you don't throw them back, being that they are an invasive species and it's illegal to release them back into the water.
WRONG!! Perfectly legal to release snakeheads where caught anywhere in the U.S. where established. Research has found they aren't the threat once believed.
When fishing snakehead u need to wait atleast 3 to 5 sec to hookset the fish or if it miss try twitching it so it can follow up another strike
What should I fish with next?🤔
kittyfish
Worm best one to fish

You won’t have to worry about bass when these fish take over
Your comment is a laughable. They have been in SoFla waterways for over 25 years now and bass populations continue to rise.

As a scuba diver, I use to think I knew where fish like to hang out. After spending hours in their world. I found out I was completely wrong.
Tried hookset too early. Would've been a pretty epic day.

Heading down to FL for Christmas block leave. The snakehead is one of my target species. Which parts of Florida are good to fish for them?
If the citizen combine and put some effort all invasive snakeheads will be extinct.
U we’re setting the hook to early gotta let them eat
Getting younger every day? 🤣
GOOD
And use a buzz bait or whopper plopper and like the person under me says you got to wait a couple secs cause they have teeth they bite then eat
