- In today's video, I start my new series on the channel where I make DIY fish traps out of random items I find. Today I use a traffic cone and catch tons of exotic aquarium fish like pacu, peacock bass, jewel cichlids. And one of the pacu HAD ONE EYE!

You know what would be cool? If you used a lid to one of the buckets, screwed it to the bottom of the traffic cone (drill holes in the lid), and flipped the top of the cone like you would with a bottle fish trap

You should make an opening mechanism on the narrow end of the cone that way you can just dump the fish out of the trap.

use a bucket, cut out the back put a cat house thing door there 2 nails and a cast net so u can see the fish!

I think you should get some minnows or some kind of bait fish maybe like 20 or 30 or more and let them all go at once in the predator pond and let us see the feeding frenzy. I'm so curious about that. I think it's be awesome as long as you think it'd be ok to do so! 🙂 Just a thought and so curious about how they would do.

Use a rubber band or elastic hair-tie to fasten the netting over the small end of the cone, then you could remove it and just time the small fish out from there.
Get a milk crate buy metal chicken fencing small square holes like that net to keep smaller fish and use the screen with zipties to open and close open part and leave handles on both sides for fish entry
Those aren't pacu. They are silver dollars. Silver dollar is the common name assigned to a variety of species in 4 genera. I would guess Myleus as the genus, but I can't say what species.

Yes I agree. I would never had thought of on my own that these were videos I would enjoy but I stumbled on his channel and watched a video and said ehh so clicked on the next and was like cool and then the next and next and next and now I am hooked. You have came up with a great idea I don't know what it is about watching videos of these fish I am slightly into koi and I like fish but your video intrigue me maybe it's the rare fish maybe it's you but either way your doing great and have this old man hooked on your videos. Your have a glow about you when you talk about your fish that is contagious and makes people around you want to feel that same feeling it's like coffee you want to drink it to feel the same way. Thank you for sharing you are a wonderful person and you bring joy to the videos thank you. Oh if you knew me you would know those are not words I share often or at all so take it how you want to but I think you are a great person and thank you for sharing that enthusiasm with us all. 🤙

I like the traffic cone idea but you should of used screws instead of nails that way you can easily replace the net.
You should do comparison fish traps eg make a new one and put it up against the cone. Also some waterproof lights in the cichlid pond would be good.

Common silver dollar fish, they're called that because the get to the size of a silver dollar and they're silver 👍🏻 name the other one captain Jack. They're schooling fish, so try to catch at least 4-5 more.

When “piranha” are small, they are speckled like that and the more I see it the more I’m convinced that they are red belly piranha but that’s just my opinion. Either way I keep having fun I enjoy watching.

We had a celestial goldfish in a tank with a couple of regular goldfish. Woke up one morning and the celestial had no eyes. His teammates had eaten his eyes. It was horrifying. Fish lived a long time like that. He was blind but didn't have any trouble getting around.

Eh Bobby! Try a 2 in 1 trap. Create a BIG trap out of a clear bin then place a smaller trap inside to get the smaller fish or hang up bait for them BIG BIG BIG BOYS/LADIES and capture yourself SOMETHING GNARLY.
