Tanjiro was a Kanoe (6th rank demon hunter) on his 7th and 8th mission. Those were Hashira, with at least 50th missions completed and at least two years of demon slaying.
I can't even imagine what Tanjiro felt like before it was revealed Nezuko survived. Losing his only remaining family member after the rest was massacred is already devastating enough, but Tanjiro definitely would've thought Nezuko's death was his fault because he couldn't kill Upper 4 in time. I genuinely think Tanjiro couldn't go on living after it.

And here he is, unable to decide between protecting his sister or going after the demon, and Nezuko had to make the decision for him. I don't look at this as non-character development. I love how this season actually had a lesson for viewers. "Doing good things for people has a way of helping you in the end." And we see that EXPERTLY portrayed with Tanjiro and Muichiro's plotlines in this arc. Tanjiro offered kindness to Kotetsu ( and by extension, the other swordsmiths) when Muichiro didn't, and then planted the seed back into his head about kindness towards others. Then, when they got split up once the demons attacked, Muichiro took Tanjiro's words to heart and defended the swordsmiths against Gyokko. All the while, Haganezuka was working through blood, sweat, and tears to prepare Tanjiro's new sword. And finally, in the moment of need, Tanjiro's kindness towards Muichiro and the others came back to help him in the form of Yoriichi's reforged sword, which he used to stike fown Hantengu and save the day. That's actually some REALLY GOOD writing for this series to pull off, and NO ONE talks about it. Sure, Demon Slayer's plot and characters are relatively simple compared to other shonen anime, but there's still genuine quality writing if you look hard enough.
Yes! This is why it’s one of my favorite animes. the plot isn’t anything new, but it does it so effectively and efficiently that is just really entertaining and amazing to watch. There’s nothing wrong with a simple, relatively short, well done story :)
Thinking about it it also serves to contrast the self-destructive nature of the cruelty of Muzan and his followers. From the start we see Muzan was willing to kill a doctor out of spite just because he believed that his medical treatment wouldn't work, and lost potential access to the wonder drug that seemingly cured his illness and gave him superhuman powers. And for the next thousand years he's seemingly stagnated in his efforts to become a "perfect" being since he would habitually kill anyone who wasn't immediately useful to him. It doesn't seem like a coincidence that the first demon to make the breakthrough he couldn't was just a random survivor of his bloodshed who didn't succumb to the same demonic cruelty his other underlings did largely because of the kindness shared between herself and her family, and even happened to discover her sunlight immunity following an entirely selfless act.
A few differences from the manga - Hantengu is a demon with Mental Illness, He's been mentally ill for 200+ years which explains his Blood Demon Art manifesting as his emotions/torment, living in the same body with other manifestations of yourself which is why Hantengu is always crying, broken & terrified, his backstory is pretty sad when you have that detail, imagine blanking out while another of your emotions take over and finding your whole family slaughtered, he killed his numerous different families in a fit of hysteria & Paranoia, he'd hear voices that they were planning to kill him, he's also go on to pretend to be blind for sympathy in a time where Mental Illness wasn't understood. In his judgment scene, Muzan visits him in his cell and is the only one to trust Hantengu and sympathize with him and that alone helps Hantengu, Hantengu never had anyone just listen to what he was going through, Muzan did (Albeit he of course did this to manipulate Hantengu) and even his clones/personalities respect Muzan because he was the one who 'helped him' Muzan himself in the databook finds Hantengu "Okay, but sometimes he can get so annoying it's unbearable." In the final fight in the manga, when Tanjiro is about to slash at Hantengu's true neck, he looks down after Tanjiro yells at him to redeem himself in death, Hantengu looks down and his backstory is shown behind his saddened expression in the form of a broken shattered mirror, all we get on Hantengu's life is small images in shards, pretty obscure, this is because Hantengu as a human told so many lies mixed with his Hysteria that he actually forgot what was real and what was not, Hantengu isn't his real name, he's totally forgotten his life and these shards are the only thing (Unreliable Narrator) he can remember in pieces. Resentment (His Clone) at that point turns against Hantengu, and places its hand on Tanjiro's sword pushing to give Tanjiro the edge to finally kill the Progenitor of its torment, Hantengu being a coward unable to truly accept his death fights back and tries to crush Tanjiro's head, it's due to the strength of Resentment that Tanjiro is able to decapitate the true Upper-Moon 4 which combusts into ashes immediately (Due to the Sun) and Tanjiro falls through on the brink of unconsciousness before awakening an undesignated amount of time later to find Nezuko alive.
Pretty sure that's just fan theory, the closest I could find to this information was the fact that his powers are based on an idiom that describes people's personalities. As it stands, Hantengu is just a compulsive liar who hates the idea of taking responsibility.
I don't think Nezuko's blood can turn people back into humans but can only make them less bloodthirsty. Its gonna be very interesting to see Montana react to Jujutsu Kaisen especially with all the disturbing imagery she's gonna see
Lady Tamayo is not turning demons into human yet. She's just cutting the connection between them and Muzan to make them independent, and less bloodthirsty (as you said). She cut her own connections with Muzan by herself, then turned Yushiro into a demon so he's automatically not in Muzan's command; but that husband she saved was probably the first one she managed to save.
@@HaydrogenBomb I prefer Toradora, A Lull in the Sea, Fruits Basket, Tomo-chan is a Girl, or Romantic Killer. I'm biased since these are some of my favorites and I wanted to include some newer ones.😄
Rundown of Nezuko's apparent aptitude for mutation. Nezuko is uniquely ADAPTABLE. As a Demon she is incredibly good at changing herself to adapt to her needs. When she first woke up she appeared to be an ordinary demon, trying to attack Tanjiro. However she quickly adapted, realizing what she was doing and her willpower changed it around so she then tried to protect Tanjiro, not eat him. This isn't something demons can usually do, you saw the guy Muzan turned in that crowd didn't hesitate to try and kill his wife, Tanjiro had to stop him, and he only just recently regained his sense of self, starved of humans the entire time. Nezuko did that in minutes. Next, Nezuko adamantly doesn't want to eat humans, but that's how demons grow and thrive. She adapted to do that by sleeping, growing and healing without consuming humans. Next, Nezuko wants to FIGHT against Demons, and in the moment defend her brother. So she develops a Blood Demon Art, that ONLY hurts DEMONS. She also progresses her demon form in an effort to protect Tanjiro, but we see that she loses her control. However by the time Tanjiro has recovered from the Entertainment District fight, she's again adapted and can retain her control even when using her stronger demon form. Now when exposed to the sunlight, she again manages to adapt to survive it. I believe Tamayo is talking about this, when she says there's something more important than regaining her sense of self. Her body has been trying to adapt to the sun, prioritizing that over all else, and now that it has finally done it, Nezuko begins speaking and relearning how to be a human. She's not human yet, but she's pushed her demonic side further away, and this provides hope that MAYBE, it actually IS possible to fully return a demon to being human. Nezuko's entire story has been one of being given the only option of "You are a demon, you must kill to survive and grow" and then developing a new way to still progress, and as a result she's gone farther in a few years than Muzan has in a thousand.
Breathing forms are just different techniques. No rules saying you cant learn another. Tanjiro literally knows Sun n Water, not hard to believe he can take aspects from the others to improve what he already knows or add to the techniques he already learned.
too many people forget this lol. its like mixed martial art, theres no rule, you can learn karate and boxing to enhance your moveset/improve your existing moves
@@Envi_sageI think the reason people misunderstand this point is that Tanjiro makes note that suddenly switching between Water and Fire breathing resulted in physical exhaustion during the Rui arc. Which was before Tanjiro mastered Constant and before he had as much experience with both styles
@relic5752 ah true, never took that into consideration since i just assumed first tike i saw that scene as "hinokami is strong asl so it would exhaust him" every stronk thing has a drawback type deal
It's also important to note that sun breathing is the original and all others are based on/variations of it. It only makes sense that a sun breather has a relatively easy time learning the other breathing forms/techniques than most people would.
I feel like most people underestimate Tanjiro's dilemma. Some say the obvious choice is to save Nezuko but dont remember that if he and Nezuko don't act within the interests of the demon slayer corps and allow humans to die as a result of their mission to turn Nezuko human it will result in the corp killing Nezuko and forcing Tanjiro Giyu and Urokudaki to commit seppuku
I don't think that applies her. The agreement was that if Nezuko herself harmed a human, then she would be put down, and Tanjiro, Giyu, and Urokodaki would atone by committing sepuku. This isn't directly Nezuko's fault, so I don't think the three of them would be punished
I actually cried when i thought that Nezuko died and when i heard her talking i just literally screamed ( in a good way) she has actually conquered the sun ❤😂😅😊
I am so grateful you guys were able to get past c*pyright to watch this series. So thank you Kenny and Montana. I look forward to the return of Slayer Saturdays!
I remember crying like a little baby when I was reading the manga, when Nezuko kicked Tanjiro off of her, prioritizing few villagers over her own life, and then sobbing when she actually conquered the sun
13:05 haven't see anyone say this before but when it shows all the demon slayers, you can see kanae kocho, shunobu and kanao sister and first flower hashira, i love that they didn't forget about the powerhouse of a lady
What made him so powerful is the more humans u eat the stronger u become and he was the first so statistically has eaten the most humans, also these flashback scenes r the original demon vs non demon slayers so it makes him seem even more op
So the demon had a multiple personality disorder. That's why his abilities are multiple demons. In his human life he did and did not do the crimes accused it was another personality that did the crime
What you guys mentioned on tamayo's idea of her having to focus on smth else rn i think she means nezuko has to focus on her biology like tamayo she needs to cure herself of muzans curse so i think thats what nezuko is devoteing her energy and resources to, instead of give some to bodly function she is focusing only on changing her biology
Yes, basically Nezuko freed herself from Muzan's control, then prioritized getting stronger as a demon so she could help Tanjiro, who was constantly facing demons far stronger than himself.
@@bouboulrozyour so pretty anddd I totally agree I think nezuko prioritising getting stronger is so smart especially with how much she has saved tanjiro as well as how many times tanjiro saves nezuko it makes alot of sense
Muzan was sick basically right from the birth...but the doctor's medicine changed Muzan's internal physiology so much, he wasn't aware of the mutations happening inside his own body. That made the pain even worse and made him sick to the core...mentally too. When he got aware of his situation that he had been turned a Demon after killing the doctor, it was too late. P.S - The only reason he couldn't find the Blue Spider Lily was due to the fact that it blossomed only in sublight and had shortest of lifespan...
I always thought nezuko becoming immune was a narrative one like "Only a demon willing to forsake its life for humans in the face of sunlight is worthy to become immune" which is why no other demons can become like her
I don't think we find out why exactly Nezuko can survive in the sunlight other than she just can in the manga. But we do get a heavily implied answer in extra material (possible spoilers in case it's adapted) Kie Kamado, Nezuko and Tanjiros mother, conveniently found the blue spider lily, and used them for medicinal purposes. This means that Nezuko unknowingly consumed it at some point and Muzan killed the only person who knew where the flower bloomed twice
I heard about that and went and watched the episode again. During the scene when Tamayo is examining Nezuko's blood under a microscope, you can see little blue particles that seem to clear it up. That must be eluding to the Blue Spider Lily.
Spoiler alert 🚨: so you all might know that zenitsu went on a mission by himself right well it looks like he only fights when he is asleep well actually this time he won’t sleep he will actually kill an upper moon by himself without sleeping but he will not fight with tanjiro or inosuke or any of the hashiras and he actually kills the upper moon 2nd spoiler alert 🚨: actually all the hashiras die when they try to kill upper moon 1 and some of them die when they try to kill Muzan Jackson aka muzan kibitjsu but tengen he doesn’t die cause he didn’t fight with upper moon 1 or upper moon 2 or upper moon 3 * by the way if you didn’t know akaza is upper moon 3 and douma is upper moon 2 and I don’t actually know how to spell upper moon 3s name 😅 *
SPOILERS: The Manga does explain it, it's because genetically Tanjiro has sun-breathing from his ancestors, Nezuko would to, if Nezuko became a swordsman she'd be a Sun-Breather, as a demon she's immune to the sun, Sun-Breathers if they became a demon they'd be immune, Muzan destroys himself at that, Muzan fears the Sun Breathers would kill him so he creates other demons to kill them out in mass unknowingly destroying his only chance to absorb them and conquer the day.
It was explained, that ingesting the Blue Spider Lily itself isn't enough as shown by Tamayo when she makes the demon reverse cure, the reason is because they Tanjiro and Nezuko's ancestors were taught sunbreathing by Yoirrchi (Whose implied to be a Demigod) and that trait has passed down their surviving families. Muzan killed all of them except Tanjiro's line calling Sunbreathing Hinokami Kagura, Muzan finds Kie and turns her but she doesn't survive the base transformation leading to Muzan's disappointment unknowing that Nezuko survived and survive the Sun and Tanjiro of course as a human has Sunbreathing. It's also why when Tanjiro becomes a demon he too is also immune to the sun.@josebenitez8236
I've always interpreted the episode title "A connected bond, day break and first light" as both a refernce to the sibling bond of Tanjiro and Nezuko, as well as the daybreak in this episode being Nezuko's "first light" or her first time being in light since becoming a demon.
One thing about Hantengu y'all need to know that he was a liar to his core. He lied so much in his human life that he forgot his actual name, as he used to kill people for money and had many wives too which he killed himself. He changed names across time and always played a victim card... The flashback you see in the anime was the end point of his life as he was caught stealing money by high ranking samurai. The village was gonna behead him as that was the sentence was thievery back then, when Muzan intervened and turned him into a demon... He was not at all a good man to show any empathy at the first place.
Exactly idk where all this false sympathy for Hantengu came from? It's like everyone wants a sympathetic backstory for every demon, yet sometimes people can be so evil that they absolutely WOULD become Demons by choice 🤷
Fun fact: In the manga, Tanjiro kills Hantengu via a clean cut through his resentment clone which kills him while hes still inside. But here, he takes the effort to cut him out and expose him to sunlight, while decapitating him, thus giving Hantengu the most painful death possible. Imagine this wrath if he meets Akaza, or god forbid, Muzan again
"like those people that spray paint baby seals" just about took me out. I had no idea about it and hearing that out of nowhere before the reasoning was wild.
Montana mentioning that the light is purifying therefore, since Nezuko never consumed flesh she was “purified” and has become human again makes so much sense!
I don't understand why the 3 villagers don't just run in 3 different directions LOL. The headless demon can't catch all 3 of them if they run in opposite directions.
i love the fact that the first demon with a 100% unsympathetic backstory- even before Muzan- is the one we are briefly made to belive is responsible for Nezuko's death top tier writing decision to really drive home the idea that Nezuko died before the big reveal
Season 3 ending in such an amazing way! Loved seeing both your reactions to the season finale, can’t wait for more reactions of Demon slayer, once it fully returns!
I'm not complete sure, but i think tanjiro didn't really use thunder breathing, he just focused his breathing in his legs to move quickly (which is the base of the thunder breathing's techniques), and then beeing close to the demon he used one of his sun breathing techniques. I believe learning different breathing styles means literally learning to breath differently, like we see when tanjiro switched between water and sun in mid-battle, and that is why he said in one episode that (i'll paraphase) "water breathing didn't adjust completely to his body like hinokami (sun breathing)", and is for this exact reason that so many breathing styles exists, because at first people was trying to learn sun breathing (the first breathing) but their bodys couldn't adapt to it, so they adjut the breathing to their bodys creating the 5 mayor breathing and then the same happened to people trying to learn those styles. Sorry if it's difficult to read, i'm not sure how to use punctuation in English.
Remember how back when they first reacted to this series they put it on hold for a decent while before they made it to THAT episode in season 1? To think it felt like they were dropping the series but they they came around and here we are. 😭
I always took what was priority over sense of self was nezuko's body adapting to withstand the sun. They did reference her cells quickly mutating. And in the english sub i think i remember reading her think that she believes one day nezuko will be able to conquer the sun. Connecting the flashback to the present like tada she was right shes been mutating and adpating quickly to eventually, now, conquer the sun.
Muzan can know any information, that his demon's know due to their connection with the curse and his blood. The only exceptions are Nezuko, Tamayo and Yushiro who aren't cursed.
Its important to note that Muzan didnt specifically make nezuko, she was simply a rare survivor of him. Even getting her in the sun, was all coincidence. Hes been makig demons to see if one day one could evolve to conquer the sun, since he hasnt. But now that Nezuko did it, he wants her.
And as he's said, he doesn't even like having other demons as is. But he needed a network to scour Japan for this blue spider lily. It's also why every human disguise he's in, he's in some kind of rich family. He's using them for their resources and money and influence to search for it
This is just my theory but, black swords wielders like Tanjiro, in other words compatible people with Sun Breathing, could wield any type of Breathing style such as Water and Lightning: Water Breather swordsmen use blue swords, and Lightning Breathers do yellow swords. And black contains blue and yellow and red and all the colors. This is why I think black swords wielders could use any kind of Breathing styles.
Just to clarify..To be a hashira..you should either defeat one of the moons ALONE..Or you should have defeated 50 demons...You need to be Kinoe rank too.. Tanjiro has not defeated a lower moon..let alone an uppermoon..ALL ON HIS OWN..Without anyone else....Neither has he defeated 50 demons.. So he is not a hashira.
I was able to watch the showing of the next season last night. I’m really scared for the new season, but it was great and I’m happy we’re getting more of the hashira.
So Montana was a bit disturbed when the Demon Slayer's master described Muzan as their family's sole blight. Now that we've that he's always been a selfish, malicious bastard, I think that description is rather apt Edit: It should be noted that Muzan's wish for living things to die was indeed before the medicine made him crave flesh
25:18 Because he KNOWS exactly what sort of pain can happen in these moments. There are too many anime where someone would blindside Nezuko right then and there. Headshot. And then credits. NEVER underestimate the potential for cruelty in anime! Them mfs don't care!
Nezuko is stuck in a child like state because before becoming a demon she was just 12 years old, while she still ages normally in her mind shes still that same child.
Ready for the next season coming this spring now! Although it will most likely be a little bit longer before the English version comes out, but still excited!
Now nezuko is just a human whit superpowers and full inmortality(since she is inmune to sunlight and the demon slayer swords are able to kill Demons because they absorbe sunlight, even if her head is cut of by one of them she won't die)
The new season hashira training is gonna be so cool i think it comes out in 2 months all i want to say (no spoilers) is after the hashira training arc everything will go absolutely insane hashira training arc is basically just for more character development and training so make the most of it
Upper 4 has split personality disorder that's why he speak things contrary to the things he has done. that's why when he becomes a dmeon he manifested different personas
You know, at 20:40, it took me way too long to realise that Tanjiro saw the main body inside the heart due to his Transparent World. Even though I read the whole manga already. 😅 I feel stupid.
So, I deliberately avoided the trailers for the next season. Then months later, I happened to see that "demon slayer" was in theaters. Oh boy, thought I. Another movie! Not realizing it was actually just a 10 minute AMV montage of the previous seasons, followed by the entire final episode of season 3, before showing the kind of slow setup first two episodes of next season. The first episodes of any season are usually the slowest. So why there was a cinema screening baffled me. I imagine it might have been fun if I was prepared for it, but I was hyped for a movie, and an hour in it was still just showing stuff I'd already seen, so I just felt scammed. Had I done the slightest research before seeing it, I would have known, but you all know how hard it can be to avoid spoilers.
Tanjiro didn't use Thunder breathing as a breathing technique. He just mixed Hinokami with the physical stance of thunder, and the projecting thrust technique. This is not a spoiler, but Tanjiro as a multi-breather user does not make sense because he uses 2 breathings and he admitted he was good at water as Giyu.
Hantengu is a pathological liar with a persecution complex. According to the author's guidebook, his personalities are based on the multiple lies he's spun about himself. It's even said that he isn't even sure if his name is real anymore. He's also married multiple times and would always end up slaughtering his wives and children for imagined slights, then would proclaim that it was no fault of his own. He isn't a victim of DID. He's a deluded, cowardly individual who refuses to accept accountability for his own actions. Also, ya'll in the comments need to stop calling the authoress by the wrong name. Her name is Koyoharu Gotouge. Gege Akutami is JJK's author.

It doesn't seem like a coincidence that the first demon to make the breakthrough he couldn't was just a random survivor of his bloodshed who didn't succumb to the same demonic cruelty his other underlings did largely because of the kindness shared between herself and her family, and even happened to discover her sunlight immunity following an entirely selfless act.
my favorite thing is that at 16:34 genya is actively trying to get down the cliff so he can help
He's a homeboy
In his judgment scene, Muzan visits him in his cell and is the only one to trust Hantengu and sympathize with him and that alone helps Hantengu, Hantengu never had anyone just listen to what he was going through, Muzan did (Albeit he of course did this to manipulate Hantengu) and even his clones/personalities respect Muzan because he was the one who 'helped him' Muzan himself in the databook finds Hantengu "Okay, but sometimes he can get so annoying it's unbearable."
In the final fight in the manga, when Tanjiro is about to slash at Hantengu's true neck, he looks down after Tanjiro yells at him to redeem himself in death, Hantengu looks down and his backstory is shown behind his saddened expression in the form of a broken shattered mirror, all we get on Hantengu's life is small images in shards, pretty obscure, this is because Hantengu as a human told so many lies mixed with his Hysteria that he actually forgot what was real and what was not, Hantengu isn't his real name, he's totally forgotten his life and these shards are the only thing (Unreliable Narrator) he can remember in pieces.
Hantengu’s internal struggle is wild. Thanks for sharing.
I've never actually thought of it like that
Pretty sure that's just fan theory, the closest I could find to this information was the fact that his powers are based on an idiom that describes people's personalities. As it stands, Hantengu is just a compulsive liar who hates the idea of taking responsibility.
Nope, it's in the databook@@relic5752
@@relic5752 its from the fanbook (which is official ironically)
I don't think Nezuko's blood can turn people back into humans but can only make them less bloodthirsty. Its gonna be very interesting to see Montana react to Jujutsu Kaisen especially with all the disturbing imagery she's gonna see
I hope they can find a comfort anime to watch after. JJK S2 is brutal.
@@abdulazizmari9021 probably time to throw in some romance or slice of life anime to ease the pain🥰🤗
@MichaelaEvans Kaguya-sama anyone?
Also, she breaks Muzan's curse on herself back in season 1, though this was cut from the anime
@@Envi_sage exactly lol
"Tanjiro can use different breathing forms?" yes, he has done that since season 1 ep 19
I am so grateful you guys were able to get past c*pyright to watch this series. So thank you Kenny and Montana. I look forward to the return of Slayer Saturdays!
Genya be like, " American breathing first form , double barrel shoot
Second form, Schoolyard Skirmish!
@@peralta8525😂
wow so funny
American breathing - Second Amendment
Third Form, Double Whopper With Extra Cheese!
Nezuko’s blood isn’t turning people back into humans it’s just breaking Muzans curse so they aren’t mindless killing machines 37:50
I always thought nezuko becoming immune was a narrative one like
"Only a demon willing to forsake its life for humans in the face of sunlight is worthy to become immune" which is why no other demons can become like her
I don't think we find out why exactly Nezuko can survive in the sunlight other than she just can in the manga. But we do get a heavily implied answer in extra material (possible spoilers in case it's adapted)
Kie Kamado, Nezuko and Tanjiros mother, conveniently found the blue spider lily, and used them for medicinal purposes.
@@HaydrogenBombohhh I didn’t even notice that! That’s such a cool detail
Spoiler alert 🚨: so you all might know that zenitsu went on a mission by himself right well it looks like he only fights when he is asleep well actually this time he won’t sleep he will actually kill an upper moon by himself without sleeping but he will not fight with tanjiro or inosuke or any of the hashiras and he actually kills the upper moon
2nd spoiler alert 🚨: actually all the hashiras die when they try to kill upper moon 1 and some of them die when they try to kill Muzan Jackson aka muzan kibitjsu but tengen he doesn’t die cause he didn’t fight with upper moon 1 or upper moon 2 or upper moon 3 * by the way if you didn’t know akaza is upper moon 3 and douma is upper moon 2 and I don’t actually know how to spell upper moon 3s name 😅 *
SPOILERS:
The Manga does explain it, it's because genetically Tanjiro has sun-breathing from his ancestors, Nezuko would to, if Nezuko became a swordsman she'd be a Sun-Breather, as a demon she's immune to the sun, Sun-Breathers if they became a demon they'd be immune, Muzan destroys himself at that, Muzan fears the Sun Breathers would kill him so he creates other demons to kill them out in mass unknowingly destroying his only chance to absorb them and conquer the day.
Yet you have people trying to claim he had personality disorder as if that justifies his actions even if that were true
I guess "thank goodness" is the closest thing to "yogata" in Japanese, but damn does it ever sound awkward repeated like that 😅
I don't understand why the 3 villagers don't just run in 3 different directions LOL. The headless demon can't catch all 3 of them if they run in opposite directions.
Ha ha such a simple solution that it's crazy you wouldn't think of it in the heat of the moment
We need the next season besties
Muzan appearance here and the upper moon meeting are my favourite parts of this season.
i love the fact that the first demon with a 100% unsympathetic backstory- even before Muzan- is the one we are briefly made to belive is responsible for Nezuko's death
top tier writing decision to really drive home the idea that Nezuko died before the big reveal
Nezuko is "massive"? We all know where Montana was looking lol
Season 3 ending in such an amazing way! Loved seeing both your reactions to the season finale, can’t wait for more reactions of Demon slayer, once it fully returns!
Can't deny, Muzan has style
Dang it... I'm crying once again watching this moment when Nezuko made the decision for Tanjiro 😂😂😂😂😅😅😅😅
I cried watching this for the first time and I cried again watching it here ugh
I almost lost my mind when I first watched this, the few moments when I thought Nezuko was dead were some of the worst of my lifeeee
4:54 Funny how that one thing you knew about him ended up being fake
I CANT WAIT TO SEE THEIR REACTION 😆
Remember how back when they first reacted to this series they put it on hold for a decent while before they made it to THAT episode in season 1?
To think it felt like they were dropping the series but they they came around and here we are. 😭
I always took what was priority over sense of self was nezuko's body adapting to withstand the sun. They did reference her cells quickly mutating. And in the english sub i think i remember reading her think that she believes one day nezuko will be able to conquer the sun. Connecting the flashback to the present like tada she was right shes been mutating and adpating quickly to eventually, now, conquer the sun.
Tanjiro cleaned that mf up. He beheaded him with so much flashiness..
He's using them for their resources and money and influence to search for it
This is just my theory but, black swords wielders like Tanjiro, in other words compatible people with Sun Breathing, could wield any type of Breathing style such as Water and Lightning:
Water Breather swordsmen use blue swords, and Lightning Breathers do yellow swords.
Now that we've that he's always been a selfish, malicious bastard, I think that description is rather apt
Edit: It should be noted that Muzan's wish for living things to die was indeed before the medicine made him crave flesh
Musan wanted to kill humans before he became a demon. He only transformed because the medicine was soaked with the doctors blood after he killed him.
Nezuko: I LIIIIVVEE!!🔥🔥
25:18 Because he KNOWS exactly what sort of pain can happen in these moments. There are too many anime where someone would blindside Nezuko right then and there. Headshot. And then credits. NEVER underestimate the potential for cruelty in anime! Them mfs don't care!
Nezuko is stuck in a child like state because before becoming a demon she was just 12 years old, while she still ages normally in her mind shes still that same child.
Ready for the next season coming this spring now! Although it will most likely be a little bit longer before the English version comes out, but still excited!
Tanjiro didnt kill those uppermoons on his own, lets not forget that
Kenny: None of the other hashira did a single one.
Muichiro: Am I a joke to you?
Muzan probably made hantengu the employee of the month. After he reported that nezuko could withstand the sun. To bad hantengu died before that.
Now nezuko is just a human whit superpowers and full inmortality(since she is inmune to sunlight and the demon slayer swords are able to kill Demons because they absorbe sunlight, even if her head is cut of by one of them she won't die)
Seeing this episode and the next one I the theatre on a big screen and with movie speakers was pretty great next seasons looking great too
He uses a part or a principle of the thunder technique but he wasn't use thunder breathing yet.
Nezuko has been compelled to protect humans by Tanjiro’s first master. That’s what I’m thinking she prioritizes over self actualization.
all breathing comes from sun breathing I really hope we see him do other breathing moves in the future
Nezuko: Hello...Zenitsu!
Zenitsu: NANI?!!!!!
You mean Hello Inosuke😂😂😂
The new season hashira training is gonna be so cool i think it comes out in 2 months all i want to say (no spoilers) is after the hashira training arc everything will go absolutely insane hashira training arc is basically just for more character development and training so make the most of it
Oh man. Im caught up. Time to binge everything else they've watched in the meantime.
Upper 4 has split personality disorder that's why he speak things contrary to the things he has done. that's why when he becomes a dmeon he manifested different personas
Not a single tear

Fucking love that u guys watch dub all the time
38:43 - i believe that it is to adapt to the sun light damage
Can’t wait for Jujutsu Kaisen!
Funny that Muzan referred to the Heian Era. if you know, you know.

You know, at 20:40, it took me way too long to realise that Tanjiro saw the main body inside the heart due to his Transparent World. Even though I read the whole manga already. 😅 I feel stupid.
Sun breathing is the origin of all breathing styles, anyone who can use sun breathing can naturally use all other derivatives
I guess you’re gonna have to put JJK in the channel banner now 😃 can’t wait for you guys to react to this show, its so hype
I read the Manga so I already knew she would be ok but I still cried 😭
This is not a spoiler, but Tanjiro as a multi-breather user does not make sense because he uses 2 breathings and he admitted he was good at water as Giyu.
im so excited for ur jjk reactions!!
I really do need to start watching jujutsu kaisen
I need to watch season 2 especially since..... it won a lot of Crunchyroll Anime Awards 🏆
Ngl I legit thought nezuko was big dead at first because I always see people hate on the later parts of demon slayer in the manga.
21:50 this might sound crazy, but anime characters don't have to tell the truth all the time
Two words....Sunlight Immunity
Jujutsu kaisen is so amazing and the gojo simp counters probably gonna get as high as levis
all the forms are imitation of sun breather( hinokame kagura) in theory he should be able to do all
muzan, the japanese dracula origin story
YESSS THE FINALE
He saw Hantengu's final memories
Muzan's backstory is soo Inuyasha and I love it. Plus, I've got a soft spot for more unsympathetic Machiavellian villains.
remember, tanjiro holds the sun breathing form. All other forms are offshoots of that. So it stands to reason he could manifest different aspects.
43:40 Did they really just forget about Muichiro?!
Up next hashira training...and THE BIIIIIG BATTLE😅
