@@cutecorgiis5230 It doesnt really matter. His reasoning for killing entire populations worth of people dont get justified by the simplicity of his goal, if anything it just makes it worse, if he had a vision for a better world the way most dictators and tyrants tend to see it you could call his reasoning a delusion of a person that doesnt know any better, however he understands perfectly well that he does all that only to benefit himself and still does it. Same could be said about any bad person throughout history "if only they had what they wanted they wouldnt have to be bad" which is ridiculous, that reasoning could literally justify anybodies actions "there wouldnt be racism if there werent any people of a different race, its that simple" or "there wouldnt be sexism if all people were of single gender". Truth about Muzan's character is that he is petty, he was a person born into a huge inconvinience and instead of being happy that he was granted what he wanted all along in change of the inconvinience of not being able to roam in sunlight everything would be alright, however he became fixated on becoming the perfect immortal being so much that he wouldnt even know what to do if he actually got what he wanted, once he would rid of his weakness to sunlight he would simply adopt some other power hungry fantasy to pursue because its all life is to him, a constant struggle to pursue perfection and infinity that is never gonna happen, he even understands that himslef near the end of the story, so no, Muzan is really THAT evil and teriible, he is bitter for the misfortune life brought upon him for nothing and he endlessly seeks to fix something that was already done to him without understanding that even becoming truly immortal physically is not going to give him what he wants
Muzan’s backstory being black and white with only his red hues and blood being coloured looks so good. I like the creative approach + it goes really well with the character too
Reminds me of how Tanjiro was shown in the black and white part at the beginning of the first opening. And if I'm not mistaken he also looked this way as he began to tear up before running after Hantengu for the last time.
Muzan being a very sickly person in his days as a human also explains why Rui had special privileges from him. Because Muzan saw Rui's situation and that reminded him of his own past.
Yeah, but I kinda liked it that it’s hard to realize who’s voice it is because we’re so used to muichiro having emotionless voice, and that scream was full of emotion
man that panic attack scene was RAW. made the decapitaion sequence all the most emotionally cathartic also love how Hantengu just didn't say anything. just had an expression that seemed to say "well shit"
I like how the upper moons' backstories are mixed. Gyutaro's was sad while Hantengu isn't meant to be sad. He was always running away from his responsibilities his entire life, even playing the victim to the point that he created different personalities/emotions to protect himself from the repercussions of his actions. This made me incredibly intrigued about the backstories of Upper Moons 1, 2, and 3 (if they have one). I'm excited for the next seasons! As for Gyokko, I think he doesn't have one? Or did I just forgot?
You'll be happy to know that we get backstories for all the remaining Upper Moons. As for Gyokko, I don't think he was ever given a backstory, at least in the manga.

It's enough to make a grown man cry and that's okay go right ahead because the way Nezuko's part was done brought tears to our eyes in this masterpiece season finale.
There was no way in hell Nezuko was going to die, so i did not believe for one second. She dying here automatically ruins the story because she's literally Tanjiro's main motivation
Nezuko does know what’s going on btw, she’s very aware, she’s just now prioritizing speaking again, so it’s a little struggle, but she’s not stupid or unaware by any means y’all 😂 She’s been working this whole time internally to be able to be in the sun, and now that it’s accomplished she can focus on the “humanity” aspect of herself and get back to talking.
Idk why so many reactors are confused by her, she's still a demon, nothing else. She's just sun immune and now can speak like every other demon. Nothing more to it than that, otherwise they'd tell us.
Well no one can tell shes been internally trying to be able to be in the sun. That whole second part was never hinted at or mentioned. Thanks for spoiling manga readers are so damn annoying 😂
Not sure if you caught it but Tanjiro created a new form for Sun Breathing when he combined the Thunder lap and Flash with Flame Dance. He even called it Dancing Flash.
they need to start sending bills to tanjiro after every arc cuz bro these villages be in ruins and he just roles out like “ahhh welp i guess my job here is done” *end credits*
I actually like that Tanjiro is learning all these new techniques and switching things up in the middle of combat because we just learned last season that all these other breathing techniques are just derivatives of sun breathing, so it makes sense that he would be able to tap into other styles given his heritage.
Demon Slayer's art style is absolutely mind blowing! Every episode hits with raw power and intensity. The visuals are so damn impressive, true masterpiece bro never fails to be the best.
This final episode made me tear up. I'm happy to see Nezuko speaking again. 🥺And seeing the next arc - "Hashira Training Arc" made me really excited! I really wanted to see more of Sanemi, Iguro, and Gyomei! I wanted to know more about their abilities and how they used their breathing technique especially Iguro because he has a snake. NO TO SPOILERS PLEASE!!!!
I loved the small detail of Genya being on fire and Nezuko's blood burning the demon flesh out of him because he became human after that. And then we got an explanation on how her blood even healed that man. She's walking anti-demon
Btw he didn’t just learn thunder breathing right there. He learned to do the total concentration breathing that the has hits do. Like how rengoku could concentrate to run super fast.
This is already my favorite Demon Slayer episode ever. The animation and music were S-Tier. Nezuko made me cry like never before. What an emotional roller coaster of an episode. Absolute masterpiece, 10/10.
idk if it was mentioned, but i think the reason why Tanjiro could use the Thunder Breathing movement is cause it was derived from Sun Breathing which Tanjiro basically mastered. so technically if he wanted, he could probably learn every breathing technique
That works as an explanation but the real one is just the fact that Tanjiro wasn’t exactly using Thunder Breathing. He was applying the principles of it to bolster his speed and do one massive leap but that’s about it. He has never used any actual thunder breathing moves
actually all the swordsman can use other breathing style but it wont be as effective, hence why they dont use it, as each breathing style is suited to their fighting style and body type, some ppl think breathing styles are like pokemon typing hence the confusion lol, at its core its just a fighting style not some element effect, the visual effects are just a way to show the audience of its differences, only certain moves may mimic some element effect but most of it is just for visual, the only one producing element effects are the demons itself
To me, it reminded me of how Rengoku would move on the train or when he chased down that one demon, maybe that's a hint to what's going on with that move.
This was such an emotional finale! I seriously thought Nezuko died, especially when they showed the flashbacks. Plus, Tanjiro's va popped off especially when he thought Nezuko's gone, he's such a talented va. I'm very happy that this season had a happy ending! Looking forward to the next arc!
I don’t know if y’all realized but they were hinting at muzan being related to the boss of the demon slayers they have the same conditions. Earlier this season the boss of the demon slayer said muzan was the sole blemish on his family
This is an interesting theory and a good observation. However (POSSIBLE SPOILERS) I think I've read somewhere -and it is kind of implied by what the leader of the Demon Slayers says -that the fact that Muzan comes from his family has caused the family to be cursed with this particular wasting disease. It is like a punishment from the gods on the family or the price they have to pay for being the origin of the original demon. I believe the backstory is that the curse is only mitigated by the male family members marrying women who are descended from a line of priests and the only way for the curse to be lifted is if Muzan is destroyed. I think all of this will be revealed in the next season.
@@ShnNar1000x no I think it's confirmed that they're related. Its been a min since i read the manga but the living Ubuyashiki family members (the demon slayer master and his kids) are descendants of Muzan. They have a genetic health problem where they can't live past 20. That's why muzan was so upset/focused on trying to find a doctor or medicine to help him live longer and got turned into a demon. That's why the demon slayer masters health is deteriorating every time we see him. I think the family tried to marry off to specific marriage arrangements to hopefully strengthen and increase the time they could live a little longer, but it still didn't really work.
@@blsmcherry789it is confirmed theyre related, but muzan does not have the same curse as them. it is BECAUSE muzan became a demon that the ubuyashiki family was cursed with short lives. because someone from their family was a demon, their entire bloodline was punished for it. that's why when muzan is defeated, the young ubayashiki lives a long life.

It did probably remind him since he ran away with his sword in the neck like Akaza with Rengokus sword in his neck and also the other guy talking about how they were trying to kill a weak being, it got him riled up because of how wrong that is and stuff
@@tonyjacob8467 I'm kinda late but it already mentioned that Tanjirou can sense if someone have ill intention or not. So when he faced Hantengu, he could at least know that Hantengu is a coward, a liar, a hypocrite and most importantly, a rotten person at heart. Also Tanjirou knew Hantengu killed a lot of people, yet still portrayed himself as weak and innocent. All that combined make Tanjirou despise UM4.
gotta love that nezuko's theme ties so neatly with the Ep 19 theme. their bond was definitely in the song and Nezuko regaining her voice.. I also feel like Rengoku's passion was so infectious that quite literally and figuratively ignited the demon slayer flame. thru tanjiro
Remember that Sun Breathing is the originator of *all* of the other breathing forms, so it makes sense that Tanjiro would be able to take any of those moves and adapt them.

It was not mentioned because that does not get told to us in the manga until the first chapter of the next arc. Chapter 128 to be exact. So they will be told that the very first episode of season 4 lol
Well remember in the Red Light arc, while fighting and getting tired from his Fire Dance breathing Tanjiro came to a realization: all the breathing styles were born by people taking bits and pieces from other styles that worked for them. So Tanjiro is doing the same, finding bits that work for him and using it himself, like mixing Water with the Fire Dance for a balanced approach and using a bit of Thunder to move in a quick burst.
As someone who is able to perform the first breathing, Tanjiro is able to use all other types of breathing as long as he knows the basics and concepts behind it. That's why they showed Zenitsu explaining it to Tanjiro. I believe the only exception is user specific breathing styles, like Love Breathing.
To answer Roshi and Lupa’s question to why our boy was able to use thunder breathing is because all breathing techniques stem from sun breathing which he is able to use. So he is able to use the other types of breathing techniques 😊hope this helps
Tanjiro was actually using total concentration to go that fast and not thunder breathing, but it makes sense why he can lowkey adept through other breathings forms since they all originated from his main Sun Breathing, the total concentration is the same all pillars use to go mad fast, like we see rengoku in those S2 episode before he gets on the train, also Hantengu was schizofrenic hence al his emotions being aprt in a different body, he would kill and not even remember and just saying it was his hands doingl, not his own doing.
i was so waiting to see muzan's reaction to him losing 2 more uppers only to be hit with that fuckin plot twist. such a phenomenal episode. ...anyway, hashira training arc here we come!!
I think the point is that demons are able to come up with different magical abilities like that guy who controlled dreams or those that manipulate time and space. So Muzan kept creating more demons so that one day one would be able to survive in the sun. In the case of Nezuko, she put all her efforts into evolving and becoming more powerful as opposed to regaining her human intelligence. That's why she became as powerful as she did and was able to have great regenerative abilities and develop a powerful blood art.
This final had me on the edge, one heck of an ending. I was literally yelling at Tonjiru "CUT HIS DAMN HEAD OFF ALREADY". Seeing Nezukoable to be in the sun and able to communicate made me smile.
The clenched fist Nezuko holds up is just like the gesture Inosuke uses back in Ep 4 of the Entertainment District arc to show off their ranks in the corps. She's reminding Tanjiro of his duty as a Demon Slayer. She may be a sweet girl at heart but she's also just as full of hatred for demons as Muichiro, Genya, and Tanjiro are.
the doctor didn’t tell Muzan the symptoms since it was his 1st time too. He was formulating it but never tried it on anyone - so, he also didn’t know the symptoms = that’s why Muzan is the 1st demon (was the only demon before he changed others into demons)
There's a theory that Muzan only turned into the demon he was after killing the doctor, which might mean the medicine needed malice in order to work somehow. Which was why people needed to be in their lowest points in order to become demons, or just be evil in general (eg. Hantengu and Gyutaro) Hence others might need more blood to turn into demons. Won't go into major spoiler territory, but that would be why demon slayers are much harder to turn.
This episode was definitely amazing and left us with more questions. The next arc will be Hashira Training and then the last one will be Infinity Castle. I can't wait to see how it goes down.
Tanjiro making use of multiple breathing techniques is accurate to what they said in season 1 about demon slayers with black blades not mastering a single breathing form and not getting very far in the ranks. He's used 3 different techniques now.
honestly, I expect all Hashira aside from Giyuu and Tanjiro to die next season, Zenitsu will probably lose his life protecting Nezuko from Muzan almost devouring her and Tanjiro will probably get the killing blow on Muzan
All of them should cuz all their breathing techniques are related. It's just that there are certain breathing techniques that suit them best as individuals.
actually all the swordsman can use other breathing style but it wont be as effective, hence why they dont use it, as each breathing style is suited to their fighting style and body type, ppl think breathing styles are like pokemon typing hence the confusion lol, at its core its just a fighting style not some element effect, the visual effects are just a way to show the audience of its differences, only certain moves may mimic some element effect but most of it is just for visual
Your breathing style you learn just depends on the master that teaches you. Any person can learn any of them, but in the end people can be best suited for different styles.
Hantengu : Our deepest FEAR is always beneath the RESENTMENT we bear in the form of HATRED for others. This always happens when your turn JOY turns to SORROW and your PLEASURE becomes your ANGER.
Remember, Roshi. Thunder Breathing as well as all other breathing are variants and derivatives of Sun Breathing. Tanjiro combined a bit of Thunder Breathing with Sun Breathing to do Dancing Flash🔥⚡️ I do love that they added the sound effect of Thunder Breathing tho!
You guys have to remember that all other breathing styles originate from sun breathing-they all hone in on certain strengths (like leg power for thunder breathing)-so it makes sense for Tanjiro to be able to focus on the strengths associated with thunder breathing and essentially produce the same output
Fun fact, Muzan also killed Tanjiro’s mom who also knew where the spider lilies bloomed and they only bloom at a specific time of year during the day for a few hours, and she would give them to nezuko and tanjiro to play with sometimes😂
@@kyroking9934 it was revealed in S1 during the flash back when Rui had Tanjiro surrounded with his blood demon art one of the images is his mom giving him a blue spider lily or i should say Tanjiros life flashing before his eyes one of the many things that is shown is that
You guys have to remember as far as we know tanjiro knows sun breathing which is the breathing that started them all so it’s it makes 100% sense as to why he can use all the other breathings “ I haven’t read the manga so idk if he uses anymore” but if he does it’s makes sense
He didn't use thunder breathing, the effect looks like lightning cuz he applied what Zenitsu taught him. Any demon slayer can go really fast (similar to Rengoku when he chased that fast demon down the train tracks and it had a fire trail instead since it was his own technique). And using thunder breathing would imply using one of the actual six forms.
Also... Demon slayer marks and the associated abilities all awaken during extreme focus and determination. Once 1 person unlocks, it heightens allies in vicinity. Like a blood lust almost.
It's never really confirmed if it's because of her bloodline. The 3 main theories are 1) Hinokami lineage, so they are blessed by amaterasu, the goddess of the sun 2) By forcibly not eating humans, it forced her body to mutate differently than other demons 3) Kie, their mother made tea in the past with blue spider lilies We won't ever really get a confirmation tbh.
@@Jmillz4lifewell requirements for the mark are extremely high bpm and body temperature. These must be met for others to gain the mark. But crucially one person needs to have the mark to spread it to others. It's never really explained but perhaps due to the kamado line being blessed by amatersu or by being able to do sun breathing, they are capable of unlocking it without needing that catalyst.
In the manga we don't get all of Hantengu's backstory, the page for his backstory is him and his final clone Resentment looking down in shame as they remember fractured memories of their lives (Shown as a fractured mirror on the page with Hantengu's sad face infront) fragments of memories (This is because Hantengu told so many lies and made so many identities that he forgot and so the only memories he ever really had were the bad ones, the ones he Resented), Hantengu's backstory is further elaborated in the fanbook where he suffers from Mental Illness and was a really sad demon, he pretended to be blind for sympathy and was a thief before becoming a serial killer, marrying and having children before he would hear voices telling him his wife and children were plotting his death and that his wife were cheating on him, he killed and remarried over and over again. In the manga when Resentment and the Original, both relived those memories both stopped fighting (Which is a change in the anime when Hantengu still continued to resist) At the time Mental Illness wasn't understood so it's really sad what happened to him, as a Demon of 200 years manipulated in his sorrow by Muzan his Mental Illness developed to supernatural levels over his 200-year life-span, He's a really sad demon of course it doesn't excuse what he did. The Original Hantengu is always crying because of his poor emotional control, having to live and hear the voice of his overlapping emotions for over 200 years. "Is that me when I was a human?" - It's Hantengu narrating his own Resentment and remembering his memories...

Facts! And then to give his move a power boost, he took the idea of focusing completely on his legs + the superior strength you get from Sun Breathing

So he’s literally the avatar
actually all the swordsman can use other breathing style but it wont be as effective, hence why they dont use it, as each breathing style is suited to their fighting style and body type, some ppl think breathing styles are like pokemon typing hence the confusion lol, at its core its just a fighting style not some element effect, the visual effects are just a way to show the audience of its differences, only certain moves may mimic some element effect but most of it is just for visual, the only one producing element effects are the demons itself
To me, it reminded me of how Rengoku would move on the train or when he chased down that one demon, maybe that's a hint to what's going on with that move.
So dumb man
This was such an emotional finale!

I found it odd that Tanjiro hated Hantengu so badly. He probably had flashbacks to Akaza escaping earlier and it got to him.
he thought nezuko died so he was pissed
He broke his foot, busted his eardrums and kept running away, Tanjiro had every right to hate him.
That heartfelt scene between Nezuko and Tanjiro is genuinely one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever watched 🥹
gotta love that nezuko's theme ties so neatly with the Ep 19 theme. their bond was definitely in the song and Nezuko regaining her voice.. I also feel like Rengoku's passion was so infectious that quite literally and figuratively ignited the demon slayer flame. thru tanjiro
As soon as I saw the intro with that ost I knew it was about to be the best episode of the series.

Tanjiro was going through so many emotions he needs a break
I said this too after we saw Nezuko is still alive. Mans needs a break. Imagine going from feeling grief to relief in one second, he needs a therapist
Rengoku's dad said all the other breathing styles are derived from sun breathing so Tanjirou being able to perform it is plausible
As someone who is able to perform the first breathing, Tanjiro is able to use all other types of breathing as long as he knows the basics and concepts behind it. That's why they showed Zenitsu explaining it to Tanjiro. I believe the only exception is user specific breathing styles, like Love Breathing.
Even thought I read the manga, ufotable still manage to make me tear up in this scene, freaking beatiful ending for this season
The part where Tanjiro couldn’t decide. So Nezuko kicked him. Absolutely broke me. Especially with the flashbacks.
8:43 That "Get him some milk!!" LMAOOO

@@keithsimpson6386 oh my bad then
i was so waiting to see muzan's reaction to him losing 2 more uppers only to be hit with that fuckin plot twist. such a phenomenal episode.
...anyway, hashira training arc here we come!!
Man they did this so beautifully. The wait to see this animated was a long one but it was well worth

He was formulating it but never tried it on anyone - so, he also didn’t know the symptoms
= that’s why Muzan is the 1st demon (was the only demon before he changed others into demons)

Ain’t this basically a spoiler. The anime would probably have explained it next season or the season after
Roshi: "Its not far down"
Lupa being logical: "N its a cliff"
Muzuan really turned around and said “who, me?” 😂😂😂
You guys have to remember as far as we know tanjiro knows sun breathing which is the breathing that started them all so it’s it makes 100% sense as to why he can use all the other breathings “ I haven’t read the manga so idk if he uses anymore” but if he does it’s makes sense
Rosh shouting "PUT THE TEA DOWN!" kills me
All im going to say is that her bloodline is very special and contributes to why she is okay in sunlight. Has multiple extremely valuable properties.
Also... Demon slayer marks and the associated abilities all awaken during extreme focus and determination. Once 1 person unlocks, it heightens allies in vicinity. Like a blood lust almost.
It's never really confirmed if it's because of her bloodline. The 3 main theories are
1) Hinokami lineage, so they are blessed by amaterasu, the goddess of the sun
2) By forcibly not eating humans, it forced her body to mutate differently than other demons
3) Kie, their mother made tea in the past with blue spider lilies
We won't ever really get a confirmation tbh.
@@Jmillz4lifewell requirements for the mark are extremely high bpm and body temperature. These must be met for others to gain the mark.

In the manga when Resentment and the Original, both relived those memories both stopped fighting (Which is a change in the anime when Hantengu still continued to resist)
At the time Mental Illness wasn't understood so it's really sad what happened to him, as a Demon of 200 years manipulated in his sorrow by Muzan his Mental Illness developed to supernatural levels over his 200-year life-span, He's a really sad demon of course it doesn't excuse what he did. The Original Hantengu is always crying because of his poor emotional control, having to live and hear the voice of his overlapping emotions for over 200 years.
"Is that me when I was a human?" - It's Hantengu narrating his own Resentment and remembering his memories...
